Thanks Tony, there are loads and loads of videos on this radio on my channel. Make sure you have subscribed and search back about three or four years

@@digitalanaloguehamradio My wife bought me an 878 last week for my birthday. Am studying for my licence but until then, am trying to learn about the radio and perhaps program it as a receiver (i.e. scanner) if that's possible - until such time i am allowed to transmit on the amateur bands.
Love your method of presenting - easy to follow - and all your good tips.
Thanks for the effort in uploading the videos.

Many of us in our group has their call sign and cell phone number set in their power on display so if someone accidentally picks up our radio they can phone us.

Hi Chris, I have an 868, watching and seeing lots of different menu options than I have. It looks like the CPS for the 878 has quite a few more options than CPS 1.3.5 (for the 868)

Chris, excellent video. Much appreciated! Do you know if Anytone is working on a fix for the slowness problem that some people have reported (including myself). This is when you’ve left the radio on for a few hours and when you try to toggle through your channels, or anything else for that matter, everything is extremely slow. A reboot seems to fix it. Cheers

Sorry I missed this question. I have not noticed this. But any tone always recommends initialising the radio. After updating the firmware. Then reload your Codeplug. To speed things up you can turn off the sub band b. Turn off GPS. Turn off additional things you don’t need.

Another fantastic video. Very helpful. Thank you, Chris!
I do not like how the white line below the channel name is displayed on my 878 (1.15 CPS). The talk group name and zone name alternate every few seconds. Does anyone know the setting to only show the zone name on this line? Thank you.

Thanks Barry appreciate the comments. If you go to optional settings display to turn off the lines turn off the feature separate display. As for the channel name alternating between the zone I had that and I did not like it. I can send you my code plug to examine. Send me an email I am and QRZ thanks
