I started listening to Shep when I was 11 years old. So happy these recordings exist. What memories they bring back! I’d fall asleep every night listening to his show with my transistor radio under my pillow.
And I listened with my early 40's floor model RCA radio. I modified it - installed an earphone jack, so I could listen without my parents knowing it. AM & the shortwave bands were great in those days.
I was talking to somebody the other day, when suddenly I heard Shep coming out of my mouth. Ever since I've noticed more and more Shep-isms in my speech. LOL

Brings back a lot of memories of listening to Shep on Sunday nights at 11 pm on 710 WOR.
