    How does he do this? I remember this story each one a Xmas story a genius unlike any other a master of Americana of Mia 20th century

    I wonder what that click noise is at intervals during his radio shows? Sounds like Jean Shepherd is flicking a switch.

    One of Shepherd's friends was playwright Herb Gardner, who wrote the play A Thousand Clowns and partly based the main character Murray Burns on Shepherd. Mentioned it only because I think the film version of the play used that same recording of "Stars and Stripes".
