All jokes aside this man is a monster that can offer amazing lessons to hone your game
I wanted to make a cheap steroid joke but i see TJ or his team responding to young fans on here and that makes me respect him regardless of his mistakes. Good job dude good luck upon your return
TJ's footwork, slips and attacks combined with a relentless combo of striking and takedowns it has always been a beauty to watch.
Footwork really is one of those things everyone should put more thought in. The greats all have amazing footwork, it really helps setting up all the right angles. Great video!
I agree 1000%
@@TjDillashaw1 the pb is you don't find someone willing to teach it to you that easily. i've never been taught how to control the distance, how to enter and exit safely, how to get angles (and what it is exactly) etc. just as an example, I felt on a video of you and some other teacher whose name I can't remember now, teaching the guys for TUF 25. I learnt more in this video than the last year of training, and without that video I would'nt know those stuff. sometimes it's not people not putting efforts but not having access to the knowledge. that being said thanks for the share.
@@TjDillashaw1championship.đȘđđđKazakhstan hallo.
It's annoying how so many people who train seem to almost completely ignore it. I can't think of anything else in martial arts with more subtlety or a higher ceiling for perfection. I know too many people who do things like hitting pads with straight punches while standing so close that they should be throwing hooks or clinching. They never make small adjustments with their feet (which just about any good fighter does constantly) so they constantly practice throwing shots in the wrong ranges during drills and then wonder why they can't land anything in sparring.
@@bunklypeppz Did you read Owl's comment, he's right. If people aren't even told where to look, it's not a fair expectation to compare to those receiving top notch instruction. Not all training is equal and not everyone in the world has all of the correct circumstances align at the same time to get high quality training. Not everyone in the dark is an idiot, or lazy or lacks work ethic. Just imagine all of the things you've been 'neglecting' just because you don't know any better or are you in particular just above that?
It's ridiculous to compare 'too many people' to 'good fighters'. There's a huge gap in investment, resources and quality of training there. if they're wondering why it's because they've not been pushed in the right direction, maybe instead of insulting them, you could probably go and help them.
i like to visualize punches being thrown at me and then visualize moving my feet reacting to the shot. its one of the ways you can work while resting. i also think its really important to single out every strike you throw and dissect ways you yourself can get countered and then drill the defense in sparring
Movement, movement, movement. The one thing any art or style cannot live without. Here we see it at a high level. Thank you sir.

@TjDillashaw I like that you've set up your drills in a way that shows anyone could be doing these things even at home, in their yard, at the park. Not a replacement for working in a gym but that there is always something people could be doing when they have time.
That's the goal! Glad you are enjoying them man. The free trial course has a bunch of videos set up like this, you should check it out if you enjoyed this one. Link the in the caption!

Amazing he is the greatest 135ibs in the history or this sport!
See you next year Tj
(Support from France)
Dang, his switch is like a magician pulling some sleight of hand trick.
TJ's footwork and overall movement is the most stylish I've ever seen.
You know what they say, flow like a butterfly..
Awesome TJ! You have the best footwork in the game by Far, so it's great get this drills from you! Watching you fight is a big inspiration for me! Can't wait to see you back! Love from Brazil, champ!!
Also like in BJJ boxing is the same position before submission can be applied to stand up position before offense.
You make it look ez, thatâs years of dedication
Gotta start somewhere!
Tj is my role model fighter wise I could only dream to b as gud ur amazing TJ on god
Awesome vids pal. Great insight from an MMA elite.
Glad you enjoyed it
Bro your footwork aways caught my eye. đ
Like no joke that's dope, movement is my first thought. đđđ
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee đ
Learning footwork and head movment is so crucial, anyone can learn to hit pad and punch but are those people good at moving and dodging those punches. We as fighters need to learn to slip, move and implement footwork just as much and often as we do hitting mits.
đŻ
Oh neat TJ has a YT channel! I was using Bang Muay videos as training reference for a couple weeks. Good to see you're passing on knowledge.
yes sir, be sure to subscribe and check out the free trial of my fighting course đȘ bit.ly/30POs7I
the goat
TJ dillashaw you are the goat you just got too bad losses on your record that really threw you back farther than any UFC fighter that I've ever seen and the one you got robbed on and the other one you robbed yourself but I've never seen someone be held down by the organization like you
Hai Tj...
How are you?
Love from Indonesia :)
Nice
đ
This is very similar to the triangle footwork drills from panantukan. Just updated with more angles.
I was a believer after the 1st Renan Barao, 2nd one sealed it. I often refer people to the 1st fight for examples of foot work
Hell yeah, Fights that don't end on the ground are won or lost with footwork. đ
Slick af
