- It's a hard knock life for any who dare sign the dotted line on Esther's adoption papers. Think you've got what it takes to be her new mommy or daddy? Think again... because Esther won't stop until mommy's six feet under and Daddy's all hers. 💄 🔪 💋

Fun fact: Vera Farmiga is an actual classically trained pianist. I mean look at her. Of course she would be. Too perfect
I agree
You know who else is a great pianist for an actor, dudley Moore, he was amazing
Vera and Isabelle should have gotten an Oscar nominations for this movie , their performances were amazing
Absolutely! They’re phenomenal in this film
Not sure about that
I feel like a lot of people really overestimate the functionality of this family. They were very much on the breaking point and were just looking for a daughter to replace the one they lost as a sort of seal tape. The son doesn't want to be near any of them, the mom is a recovery alcoholic and just had a miscarriage and the dad is a cheater who is still not over his wife almost killing their deaf daughter.
Exactly. I also think its really selfish of them to not focus on their own children and invest their time with a strange child the other siblings arent comfortable with from the outset. I know its only a movie but stuff like this (homicidal woman child aside) happens all the time; parents fostering troubled kids without considering the impact it will have on their own kids. They are expected to share their home and their lives with a stranger.
Not too mention Isabelle (Esther) was 11 acting her heart out
The "I know they fu*k" line still takes me out lol 🤣
The delivery is PERFECT
I remember everybody in the theater laughed when they heard that.
@@hunterivey I did. My boyfriend (now ex) shook his head. Yeah... my husband is better. He smiled.
I think the biggest problem I have with people talking about Orphan is that they consider it a Horror, when in actuality it seems more fitting as a Psychological Thriller
Yes!
Even though it has some dark humor, Orphan works as both horror and psychological thriller. It has a fine balance of both of those things which is what makes Orphan stand out from other films from the killer kid subgenre of horror.
Horror is a very broad term. Feels weird to try and exclude it from things.
How does Vera always gasp so deeply like that without ever choking...
Because she’s the best actor on this planet 😭
@@PettyPumpkins even better than Bruce Campbell in his prime? 0:
Isabelle is the best actress, she nailed her role in this movie.
Esther is the perfect villain in a horror movie.
She really is!! Cannot wait to see what she’s up to in First Kill!
That’s probably most intense pregnancy scene I have ever seen I don’t remember it being that brutal 😅
It’s a LOT 😩
After this one, I’d say the new Dead Ringers tv show has some of the most graphic birth scenes of anything I’ve seen recently
Yep.
Never
Getting
Pregnant.
I noticed your Titanic poster in the background. Fun fact: Leonardo DiCaprio was a producer on this film and he's pretty much responsible for Isabelle Fuhrman being cast as Esther. That shot at the end when Esther drowns in the lake is a homage to Jack Dawson sinking to the bottom of the ocean.
Btw, this is the best reaction I have seen to Orphan. I love your personality and you guys are hilarious! I'm looking forward to watching your Orphan: First Kill reaction next.
I literally forgot how heartbreaking that opener was. That husband was a huge D, but he was easy on the eyes!
Yes and Y E S 🥵
Same !!
The husband,.the king of gaslighting.
But an incredible movie.
Yes he really is!! That’s the perfect title for him!
This family was a mess before Esther showed up and I love how they portray those actual real life problems
i have only ever watched reactions of first-time watchers because it's kind of like revisiting my own journey experiencing the film the first time through someone else, and i like the theorizing and discussions about how they think the story will unfold, but i have to say that there is actually a charm to watching re-watchers too. I could relate to the eye rolls and understand the sarcasm and biting remarks because we *all* already know which characters are questionable or are up to no good. while i may miss hearing the wild theories and seeing the surprised reaction to the twist, it's still quite refreshing to watch the retrospective reactions of "omniscient" re-watchers.
Love how it became a john hate rant towards the end. Cant wait for you to watch the sequel
although max is soo small she is soo smart. such a lil queen
I just have to say you two are so genuine and absolutely hilarious. It makes my day whenever you upload a video. I’m glad I discovered this channel before it becomes absolutely massive like I know it will! 💕💕💕
Comments like these make our day so thank you very much for your love and support!!! This comment made us smile so big 😊😊 we love you!
You guys are serving LOOKS! Those shirts look amazing
I LOVE horror movies when there is realistic horror going on; no ghosts or supernatural stuff. Orphan, Midsommar, and Climax are some of my favourite horror films!
Then there's "supernatural horror" where we don't actually see anything supernatural happen on-screen. It's rare. But nothing supernatural actually happened in The Blair Witch Project. It was kinda "real" in a way, haha.
"Orphan" is based on a true story. I saw the documentary first so the twist ending in the film was ruined for me. Another horror film based on a true story you should check out is "The Girl Next Door" czcams.com/video/biRvF7UwW4Q/video.html
@@asian-americanwithanopinio8954 Thanks for the rec mate!
@@brandoncameron2686 yeah!
"Not only is she a mother she's a compositioner!" okay I have no idea if you meant for that to be a joke but that was hilarious. (word you're looking for is composer)
The shade they threw at Kate at 33:18 took me out. So wrong 😂
💀💀💀 it was an accident but sometimes the truth just comes out when you don’t expect it 😂
"Where the hell are they going to hide this full ass nun?" I'm dead. 😂
Still wondering how they did it 🤣😭🎃☕️
Same 😂
I love and live for these reactions!! Wes’s reaction to sister Abigail’s death was priceless!
Wes’ *
This movie is too good and brilliant Isabella is so talented and amazing
She really did that!!
When you said “She’s beautiful even while she’s getting f’ed”! I hollered! I thought the Dad was hot when I saw him in the Skeleton Key too. Love the review as always! 💗😘
How are you chantallisette
Honestly I would act like that dad too. From his point of view it’s understanding that he believes Esther.
I needed a movie review channel with a gay perspective and I'M LIVIIINNNNGGGGGG.
Orphan is one of the greatest psychological horror movies of all time. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and themes. The tone and element was scary, creepy, spooky, eerie, dark, gritty, urban, and gothic which works perfectly for the movie. That twist still gives me chills and goosebumps. 😰😱 Isabelle Fuhrman did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Esther Coleman as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
The dad in this movie pissed me off so bad he's a horrible father! He made his wife feel like she was going crazy he didn't believe a single thing she was telling him! It's like, "Come on, guy, give us a break and be a good father and husband."
“Where were you on January 6th??!” Lmao 💀💀
It’s funny cuz the BLM riots were far worse than stupid Jan 6
@@Adamantium08Oh fuck off. BLM protestors never tried to overthrow the government, clown ass trumpie. 🖕🏼
Omg!! So happy to see a new video from you two! 💖💖
How are you Christina
Omg this was the funniest thing ever! So glad I found this channel. Subscribed!!
I haven't watched the original Orphan in a looong time. Glad to see you guys watched it!
It really holds up on a rewatch! So charming and dark and full of fun. Esther forever 💜
When I tell you I still to this day have a crush on the zaddy
It’s hard not to 😭😍
Wait why have I never seen your reactions? Loving your reactions here.
Omg i was literally crying for 2 hrs bc bad day but this made me laugh so hard, i feel sm better. Love this movie!
The adorable giggle in the 29th minute ❤
🤗🤗🤗
Back in the day this movie shocked everyone can't believe we're getting the sequel this weekend and thx for Posting I did not want to rewatch the movie,I would by the end of first kill we get a Post credit sence and find out she survived
the first time i watched this i was 10 years old & it absolutely stuck with me for my entire life (23years old now) especially the pregnancy scene in the beginning. the second one didn’t disappoint at all.
I definitely lost the try not to laugh as soon as no good seed goes unplanted. Had me flat out guffawing
I know I’m late but Wes that hair color is everything on you!!! Hey boos! 🥰 Love y’all down!!!!
Thank you queen!!!! We love you! 😍
How are you sip
YES YOU GUYS PLAYED HIT IT FROM THE BACK I SCREAMED
So amazing that Isabelle was only 12 in this. She ate this! 💅
This came out when I was in high school and my friends and I would go see every horror movie in theaters. This one in particular was a fun experience. 😅 Such a great movie. Glad I had no expectations going in because the reveal was crazy.
OMG THAT into with Annie hahahaha EVERYTHING
I couldn't wait until I saw the movie, I just had to come here and watch this reaction lol
You guys are so fucking funny lmaooo I swear this is one of your best reactions 😂🩷
You guys are adorable 😂
Thank you!! 🥰
the dad in this movie pissed me off so much. all of the signs that esther was dangerous was literally right in front of him. even the nun who came over the house warned him that bad things always happen when esther is around and yet you still assume that she’s this perfect little angel? he kept riding for her when he barely even knew her. daniel falls off a treehouse and breaks his neck, max almost gets into a car crash due to esther messing with the car, and the nun is murdered minutes after she warned the parents and in each of those instances esther turns out fine and yet he still doesn’t bat an eye? he refused to listen to anybody’s suspicions and he refused to take what anyone is saying into consideration. the sad thing is, he didn’t even realize the truth about esther until it was too late. i understand he has trust issues with his wife because of her alcoholism but in a situation like this, you MUST believe your wife. his stupidity caused his downfall. the stupidest EVER
“Speaking of hearing about it” WAIT 🤣
yall are so...... unserious sjdksjsjdjsjdjd PLSSSSSSSS
Love you both so much omg
can't wait for first kill and your reaction ❤️
Hehehe aww we love you! 🧡 so excited for Esther to stomp on our throats 😍
The Big Brother reference with Julie had me dying 🤣🤣
I love how he said Daniel was a sociopath even tho Daniel showed clear signs of remorse and was genuinely bothered by what he did while on the other hand Esther was completely remorseless while killing the bird which is textbook sociopath/psychopath behavior. The icing on the cake is that he even admitted that Esther is good at manipulating 😂
The husband had no right to be that hot
None at all
Isabelle was like the new age Linda Blair as a child actress in a horror movie. She was SPECTACULAR and deserved an Oscar. Periodt
4:50 When I tell you I SCREAMED. 💀
The most underrated movie villain out there
love this
Hahahaha the beginning 😂😂😂
Will you guys be tuning in for the new orphan movie coming out?😅
I love this movie, it's scary, by the way great reaction.
Omg the Halloween mouth piece comment 😂
Subscribed! Saw your guys reaction to Tim Burtons Wednesday trailer and then watched Halloween Ends reaction and I was sold! Keep it up guys and really excited to see some horror reactions!
So comfortable on the counter top.
i was literally swallowing my antibiotic when "A FEW INCHES LATER" popped up and i almost inhaled that sh1t into my lungs 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Glad that i found your page. I really love your reactions❤️❤️❤️. Please do react movie ready or not🙏🙏
The first scene just disgusted me. Mostly because of the husband and how the doctors were treating the mom. It’s just unsettling with all the screaming and the tool sounds.
There is a prequel now on Paramount Plus
We reacted to it! The video is on our channel! 🖤
did you just cupcake at 8:00 lmao
Only reason I wish John survived was for Kate, Max, and Daniels sake. Kate now feels like she failed, and Max saw it. But, I don't feel bad for him.
John goes into the Loathe entirely category yup!
VERY BOTTOM
Hi penni
She is brutally honest.
I don’t remember the son dying in this. 😱 Speaking of Vera did you all review the Conjuring?
Loved yall commentary!! Yall was roasting that little boy when he was nothing but right!! He knew something was wrong about Ester! He was not about to claim her! I stand by that!
The "im sorry im a good christian girl forget this meme"
We have an Esther in our house.
Guys, your reaction is absolutely fabulous! And both of you are so cute
I just want to write that my name is Josh and i want to write that Orphan First Kill came out in 2022 and it's a great prequel film too and it deserves first time watching videos on youtube.
Hi josh! We actually reacted to orphan first kill! It’s on our channel! 🎃☕️
I watched ZZAVID do the prequel and I have to know what happened next :)
omg and I see y'all did the prequel too, I'll check it out!!
@@avery5968 how are you Avery
Reminds me of my Twin Georg who plays piano.
the nerve the husband had tho he's cheat on his wive and then call her manipulative ? the hell???!!
That intro ☠️☠️🤣
This movie is the love child of “The Good Son” and “Fatal Attraction”
Two iconic staples in the domestic thriller genre. Orphan is a domestic masterpiece!!
@@PettyPumpkins got Instagram finally
🥰Esther 7 years old
That’s why
Her special flowers
Maybe they should make a prequel when Esther was younger. xx
They did!!! Orphan: First Kill!! 🤣🤣😂
Well The Shining never got an award either.
🥰Anna the kids
Omg are y’all going to do a reaction to orphan first kill
Yes!!! It should be up by tonight!
@@PettyPumpkins omg!!! I can’t wait 👌🏼👌🏼
The one thing I hate with a burning passion about this movie is that it plays on the fears of adoption and those kids really need help
Tbf it is just a movie, it’s not supposed to be realistic
There’s a reason for the 🎀 Ribbons.
This is the best horror movie ever.
lmao January 6th like it was the worst thing ever XD
Bully is getting it.
When was Orphan 2 announced? I know of Orphan '0'
50:00 Did you sympathy for him for the kids sake?
The Britney Spears intro was great.
Yes gargle acting!!
