I love how sloppy she is in this movie because it justifies how much of a pro she was in the original, even tiny little details like in first kill she doesn't lock the door, almost letting the mother see her putting on the bandages to hide her adult features and in the original she locks the door.
She definitely learned from her mistakes and that's how she was more convincing to the Colemans in Orphan (2009).
This is a prequel
My exact thoughts it’s genius
@@lauryncraig1474😮please
It's sad to think that the father will never know that his own son killed his daughter.
That part Omg! He couldn’t even process wtf he was looking at on the roof. Sad.
probably for the best. I think it will break his heart even more if he knew
wait gunnar killed the real esther? help im confused
@@sbh.0710 yes
@@allier1867 so why fake esther look like the real esther and where in the movie did it say he did
I knew something was so weird when Julia was showing the girl all the family members. The way she showed it, wasn’t as if she was like “look at your family since you left” and more so like “here’s the family you need to know because I know damn well you aren’t my child.” 🤣 she didnt even looked surprised when she came home.
they should've just called this "ORPHAN: BATTLE OF THE ICONS"
Esther and Tricia are *queens*
may they rest in peace
You are so right 😭😭
@@PettyPumpkins would you be able to load the free movie up for free on CZcams
@@PettyPumpkins thanks seen it on i.o. on demand
Technically orphan first kill was a prequel so in the 2009 movie it did look like she died but we still don’t know
isabelle and julia killed their preformances this surpassed my expectations and the plot twist was unexpected. overall i loved it!!
They really were such a dynamic duo! Those performances + the twist really cemented this as one of the most fun movies of the year!
Never thought I'd see Isabelle Fuhrman and Jiula Stiles beating the living shit out of each other, but I needed this without knowing. 😭
Julia*
Esther was already a horror icon for me but this movie established it for me. Esther is here to stay and Esther is here to slay.... in more ways then one.
Damn, Julia Stiles second time being killed by her child...First Damien in The Omen (2006) now Esther in Orphan: First Kill.
Poor Julia! I looooved her in this film though. They made her a badass! I hope we see her more often in the near future
This movie was a mind fuck in the best way possible and the twist was so unexpected. it did explain why Julia stiles didn’t seem happy to see her missing daughter she’s a deranged lunatic too but poor Lena/Esther I wanted her to eff them up so bad
Yes exactly!! Her performance in the first half makes SO much sense on a second watch and it’s actually a pretty complex showing when you think about it. Loved it!!!
Funny that you guys said the father in the first one was Daddy and this guy was Dad because I felt the exact opposite. I get why Esther was willing to risk it all for Allen 😂
this movie AND that plot twist was EVERY-SINGLE-FUCKING-THING I NEEDED!!!
So fun, so cam, Julia Stilies literally KILLED IT such a good time, such a good precuel, i loved it so much.
your commentary made it 100 times better, love you guys! ❤️❤️
Yaasssss what you said!!! Louder for the people in the back! Thank you for the support, we love you!!! 🥰🥰
I am with Esther's side in this movie !!!
Still shook by how great this was, & over ten years later? Maybe other horror franchises should take note, this was a great prequel. Didn't think anyone could touch Vera Farmiga's "mommy" role but Julia was AMAZING, mothering demonic spawn may be her calling. Oh and I'm so glad you guys commented on the similarities between the final showdown & act 3 of Scream 5, there were SO MANY...loved the parallels. Very entertaining reaction, as always!
It’s amazing because in the first movie they don’t give Esther must background which leaves space to create so many more movies around it. As each movie comes out, more details are reveled. This isn’t even all of her origin, which means there’s room for more movies to be made on how she ended up in the mental hospital in the first place. CHEF KISS!
Both Vera Farmiga and Julia Stiles played “mommy” to Esther. Both are horror queens that had to deal w/ demented children. Farmiga w/ Joshua, Norman, and Esther…Stiles w/ Damian and now Esther. I hope we get a third movie where Esther comes back to terrorize Vera Farmiga and her deaf daughter.
but Esther died
@@estelle.r8626 That can be retconned. There was no body…Leena could have crawled out of the lake and snapped her neck back in place
@@earltanon-sommers9662 Then only a ghost will come out.
@@earltanon-sommers9662 If any character is capable of crawling out of a freezing lake and snapping their own neck back in place it’s Esther 😂
@@ankitamondal7037 Okay, contrarian
"Didnt you know his family came in on the mayflower"
"Im sure he tells his friends that his family was at the first thanksgiving" YOU GUYS ARE HILARIOUS OMG subbing now!!
Isabelle Fuhrman will be perfect in a Scream movie.
We were saying this last night!!! She really would!
YOUR FACES WITH THE HAND DOWN THE BRIEFS MOMENT I CAN'T XDDDD
"you might wanna copy a little harder. and paste it. because esther will cut. and delete you" lmfaooooo
And she won’t waste any time doing it 😭
I actually read about Esther’s /Leena’s childhood and I honestly feel bad for her she’d be a much more sane person if she’d had the right examples set for her and hadn’t been treated such ways
Totally
The dad in this one could split my taco ANY day!!!!
I had guessed that Gunnar and the mom knew from the beginning lol. When Esther first greeted Gunnar, you could see in his face that he knew. I feel like a sibling could be fooled, but he wasn’t for a second. Also, a mother always knows. Like even if they hadn’t killed Esther, she would’ve known it wasn’t her lol. The dad loved Esther so much and was so desperate to get her back that his brain didn’t even register that this was very clearly not his daughter. I was so excited that I guessed it right 😂. This movie is so good, it adds so much depth to Esther- now we get to see her adult side and it be more realistic cuz Isabelle is an adult and not 10. It’s like if you watch the original or this one again, you’ll notice things you didn’t before- or be able to create more depth to the story even if it wasn’t necessarily intended.
Julia Stiles deserves her flowers! She gave us this and The Omen remake. Our good sis loves a mother role to a demon! New subscriber 🤎
Yes she slayed that!!! Our favorite horror mommy! 😍😍 thanks for the sub, welcome and stay tuned for more horror mommy movies in the future because we have a list prepared 😂
Esther isn't the villain in this movie. It honestly explains why she is the way she is in the first film. I love her in this movie 😂😂
"Esther"IS a Villain in this movie. It's just that she's not _the only one._ ;-S
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but the baby photos are actually Isabelle. In some of her films, you can see those same baby photos posted around the house she’s in which is cool. Also, I know it’s not horror but have you guys checked out her film The Novice yet? It’s really good
I was afraid this was gonna be a rehash of how the original went. That twist had me Living. Like it got me at the edge of my seat and excited to see what happens next. Such a good prequel. And the psycho reference in the end… Chef’s kiss
I honestly love how this is from Esther's point of view. So it feels like I'm watching a spy thriller, because we know that Esther is gonna outwit everyone, and I am on the edge of my seat to see how she gets there. And all the stuff after the big twist just convinces me even more that it's a spy thriller.
And omg her villain intro at the beginning is so good. You can just feel her in the red lights. She is everywhere.
We need the prequel of the prequel: The Mommy
I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REAL ESTHER
lmfao the edits with Esther drinking had me cackling. ya'll play to much and I live for it.
I just love the Psycho references in this movie. How it tricks you into rooting for the villain, and then the last scene, when the camera zooms in on Leena looking all innocent. Really cool movie!
"We love a dumb man" I can't 😭
Our fatal flaw 🙃🙃🙃
Couldn’t wait for ya’ll to review this. After watching ya’ll I rewatch the movie and I liked it so much better. Good plot twist. I was pulling for Esther after I found out what they did to the real Esther. And yesssss. The Dad is fine asf. Julia Styles tried but Vera Farmiga from “Orphan” is still undefeated 💕
So glad you enjoyed it more on a rewatch!!! And yes it’s crazy how Esther almost becomes the hero in a way!
I was literally waiting the whole time for your all’s reaction to the big twist 😂 this movie did not disappoint
Is it bad that I love this one better than the original?
Yeah a perfect prequel to the sequel one :)
I just finished it and I'm excited to dive into this and other reactions. It was pretty good and not what I expected. We need more prequel sequels. Esther's a beast. Lol.
We love when a movie subverts expectations!!! Prequels can be amazing when they’re well-done and thought-out!
@@PettyPumpkins With the Julia Stiles casting, I figured this would be another retread of the original and her "Omen" remake where she's just endangered and no one believes her for the whole movie. The twist(s) here had me pleasantly surprised.
I love how you guys could perfectly appreciate the camp masterpiece this movie was, really satisfying reactions!
Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong buuuut I think the “glory of love “ song is played so much to show where she learned the song from the first movie …she had never heard that song until she first played the record player at this house and it’s a kids record player so it might be the only record she has😂😂 so she keeps replaying it …and then when you watch the first one her singing it in the orphanage to lure in the Vera farmiga family is that much creepier she like took the song from this family and used it for the next …thats my thoughts anyway probably why they keep referring back to song
This is a great theory!!! There were a lot of smart ways this movie tied into the first one and what you said makes complete sense. She really is like a siren when she’s singing that song!
That plot twist was wig snatching!
It really was!!! We were NOT PREPARED
Esther became an anti hero in this one and I was living for it. And also why yall rooted for Tricia? She literally dumped her daughter into a hole and covered it up. Then is mad at Esther for impersonating her?
Lolol we were only rooting for Tricia because of the amazing performance Julia was giving but ultimately she got exactly what she deserved!!! How the tables turn!
@@PettyPumpkins it’s why we “root” for Jill in Scream 4. Like yeah she’s a psychopathic killer but….she did flawlessly
@@PettyPumpkins Lol thats fair
The brother utterly disgusted me just slinging around his dead sisters name he shows little to no remorse for the "accident" like sir who are you to talk you literally murdered your little sister 😒
I mean his mother fueled his ego by covering his tracks everytime he did something wrong by telling him that I will make everything right. And the way the dialogue went about killing people makes me feel that the mother-son duo did not stop at the first time. The son probably went around doing more crimes and if there were any witnesses the duo eliminated them.
He's Still Hot LMAO
AHHH I LITERALLY LOVE THIS MOVIE AND THIS CHANEL THANKS SO MUCH FLR REACTING
Omg thank you queens for this 🙏 💖💖
We live to serve! 🫡
This was SO great!!! I like the idea of this, similar to rumors about the JonBenet Ramsey case
That's what I thought immediately after the reveal happened!
We were comparing it to JonBenet as well!! We are believers in the conspiracy that her family was involved somehow and covered it up. Very interesting concept!
❤️ This reaction as much as I loved the movie! Awesome job 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love this movie! Was not expecting the twist and I loved every minute of it.
This movie is everything I didn't want it to be, but in the greatest way possible.

You better work bitch!!!
I need a TV show about little Leena's shenanigans before she was committed to the loony-bin
They should make a film where the mother is also an orphan. I think that there were more situations than her daughter's death that made her crazy.
I was so happy feeling justafyd rooting for Esther
I was hoping for a post credit scene if her in 2022 alive and well planing to find a new daddy

I can understand the use of the Glory Of Love song is kinda overkill, but it sounds like it's her favorite song.
Orphan 3 when??? This movie was so good and you guys made it even better with this reaction
Don’t see how since she died in the other one
@@allycherry1218 there’s a deleted scene. She’s alive

Leena whole movie mood : fuck with somebody else bro🙎♀️
Literally 💀 She was just trying to con this family and they messed it all up for her.
this movie is SO GOOD i am a fan of the first movie and i LOVE THIS. also, fun fact, they use two young actresses to the shots of Esther body
Miss Tricia just up and decided to be the living embodiment of that Kim Kardashian "it's what she deserves" meme huh 💄💄💄Julia Stiles understood the assignment and for that I STAN, her mommie dearest was a real problem for Esther!
I'm SCREAMING at "mayflower money" 😂💀
"That''s the story of love" hahahahaha
I just found your channel and have been BINGE WATCHING! I am OBSESSED with your vids...as well as your sweet furbaby who looks just like my Ethan who crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge recently❤
lmfaooooo not the "I want candy" song. lmfao I'm done.
they look so similar, the mother and Esther. I loved this movie, I loved that it was a completely unexpected storyline. I went in thinking she’d just be with another unsuspecting family like the first one.
I love that it gives the info on who taught her to do black light paintings too
I feel like they are going to make another prequel about the Stevensons😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️I hope it really happens 🙂I’ll take Esther lmao 🙂🤣❤️
We would so be here for a Stevenson prequel!!!
This is a prequel
OMG this had to be inspired by the true story that was covered in the documentary Imposter. There was a foreign guy who made up a total BS story to pose as a missing boy, and there were all kinds of theories that the family jumped on the opportunity to cover up the real missing boy. So good!
"I wish I was a child realness."
I'm gagged!
I Would've Thought Leena Was A Grown Woman In That Institute They Basically Made Her Look Grown There, But Once I Saw Her On The Outside She Looked Like A Child With Those Pigtails
How did she reach the pedal “ I - 💀
U guys are hilarious I loved this movie
I loved this movie!
It was such a serve right?!
It’s the story of Love 💗 😂😂
The plot twist saved the movie !!
It did
It really breathed new life into a good but somewhat predictable first half. But of course after you get the twist then it completely makes sense why they were going for this predictability factor. They knew exactly what they were doing!!!

@@PettyPumpkins period and his underware😭😂💕 he’s fine
It was sooooo good 👍🏾
Right!!!! They really did that!
🥰go girl okay
This was real. Real story. Technically we don’t know the full story but it’s speculated that a family murdered the son. But son disappears and is found years later with different accent and everything. 😂lol is wild
I really enjoyed the sequel or prequel I should say. I definitely like the twist because I was not expecting that at all but I have to say the only thing that bothers me about this film is that they were giving the audience too much information. I feel like there wasn’t enough ambiguity to it and that’s what made the first one so creepy because we didn’t know , it’s like the audience had to anticipate what was happening but right out the horses mouth so early on , the main protagonists were kind of spilling the tea on like everything so that’s my only complaint
I think Esther got those clothes from that creep guard she killed
That’s what I thought!!!
one of the best reactions of this movie, and you/yourchannel is like the 26th i'm watching the reactionvid of Orphan2 of,guess,i'll like and subscribe then hehe, thanks u both

Love the reaction and the movie. This is better and darker than the original. There is possible the sequel to make a film franchise.
YESSS
Me when I see your face!
This wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t kill his sister
😬
I thought the movie was great tbh. The twist was unexpected and I loved how that dynamic back and forth between Esther and the mother was handled. Only thing I say should've been better was the fact they didn't dive deeper into Esther's backstory as they should've. The family's secret should've been explored more too. Felt a lil rush at times.
Hey guys! I've been watching you two and I'm really enjoying the channel!
