I love that Hazel's inability to understand sarcasm led to pretty much every major event in the movie. She floats idea that Josie broke her arm at juvie to which PJ responds "Yeah, we went to juvie.". So she spreads that they did across school. Later when she brings up the idea of planting a bomb under Jeff's car and PJ responds "Yeah, Hazel, let's do terrorism.", which she takes as the greenlight to do it.
HAHAHHAHA For real.

My favorite bottom is Hazel! She’s just so adorable and sweet and deserves the world. I’d start a fight club for her. LOL! This is one of my favorite movies of the year. Definitely in the top two.
My wife (a 45 year old straight woman) during the movie said things like "PJ, forget Brittany, Hazel is the real deal" or "PJ, you fool, Hazel is crazy about you, why can't you see". When PJ and Hazel kissed, she screamed and clapped like a teenage girl! :) They are (will be) a super cute couple.
This is the perfect movie to watch over and over to catch things you didn’t the first time, it’s SO CAMPY AND CUNTY AND UNSERIOUS

The movie has an interesting story and is a different comedy than the comedy movies I watched before.
Nicholas also left as usual! I like that he chooses a different role every time and he does it well!

Highly highly recommend watching Havana Rose Liu (Isabel) in No Exit. It’s a thriller film and she’s great in it plus good pacing!!

Just watched this with my friends this weekend and honestly I do not get the hype. It was fine, some good laughs but most of the time I was just bored and annoyed ☹️ my friends loved it so idk 🤷🏻♂️

I feel the same, glad to know I’m not the only one! I understood what they were trying to do, but most of the humor fell so flat for me. Maybe American audiences enjoy it more than European ones, not sure but that’s my theory 😅

Pretend it’s a funny movie
Well like horror, humor is really subjective. That's why movies in both genres usually get really polarizing reviews. I personally loved it.
This film was a rough watch when i saw it in theaters. I disliked the two main characters so much. A lot of their decisions infuriated me. I can't even use the excuse of 'They're just kids'. I enjoyed the side characters who joins the Fight Club, including the coach, more than them. This film was like a run-of-the-mill TV teen drama fused w/ what we enjoyed about the 1st Kingman film or the 1st 'Kick-Ass' film or what we enjoyed in the film 'Polite Society' earlier this year.
Yeah, you're not really supposed to like the main characters. This was essentially the movie American Pie plus fight club but lesbians.... They aren't meant to be super likeable people. They're misogynistic and objectifying women... Like the men do in these type of comedies. You're not supposed to like them.. I guess the movie did its job if you left it thinking that the main characters were kind of trash people.
