@@leahflower9924 the movie series to all the boys I loved before. It was a popular book then movie series. Had Lana Condor and Noah Centineo as leads (never saw it. But I know it was real popular when it came out lol)

watching this movie was like listening to a little kid talk about their day. all over the place and some of the details don't add up but they're so full of enthusiasm & heart that it's a good time even if you don't get it.

This is so true. I didn’t understand why people said it was soooo good because it wasn’t. It had the potential to go somewhere but it stopped halfway.
@@Mrsamj1989 for teenagers it was, it was kinda messy and actually resonated with people because of how in tune it was with culture without making a mockery of itself.
Y’all missed the part where the ex best friend’s father was running for some sort of office, and his campaign was being funded by douchey ex boyfriend’s father. They spent the summer together because their families’ spent the summer together, I think the implication there is she was also pressured to be with him by the situation.

This movie is ambitious for a teen movie imo, because as you watch it you realize that Drea and Eleanor are a little worse than you thought and that some other characters are a little better. It plays on the characters' POV and biases to recontextualize the film and I think that was cool.
Max is definitely the worst, then Eleanor and then Drea

One thing I love about you guys is that you watch some stuff that I kinda wanna know what happens in but don’t ACTUALLY want to watch myself, so I get to experience it through your videos which fulfills my vague interest but in a very fun and funny way! I think the reason this one resonated because of how impulsive and kinda two faced each character is. I'd say out of all, the main girlies seems more likable by proxy
The movie also had like pretty good dialoging and lines that have the potential for being iconic like
"We're teenage girls, we're *psychopaths* "
"The way to know when you've the top, is when someone wants to *destroy you* "
And that one guy at the end that yelled "don't let the patriarchy hit you on ths way out"

I do love that this movie is a little more wild and over the top with everything from clothing (eventhough those uniforms are straight out of every kdrama), to the characters and just the storyline, it at least kind of brings back the feel of 90s and 2000s movies. Still definitely not a masterpiece but it’s definitely one of the better Netflix products in a longgggg while, also Sophie going „I don’t do cocaine. I don’t even know what it looks like“ is definitely my favourite line
Also some of the lines and fashion choices were not it, it was obvious that the producers were trying a bit too hard to make it relatable and liked by genz
This movie was so ridiculous and convoluted. 10/10 would watch again.
