First Enel speedruns XC2, then he speedruns guides for blades in XC2, that's crazy.
Potential timesave is leaving out the word 'don't'. Haven't tried this route myself as I haven't had much time recently but I think it's a natutal evolution for the run.

it funny how she's electric element but her weapon is so slow that its almost like SHE'S paralyzed

Hey don't bully. She gets Focus at level 3 affinity - very useful field skill. Later than normal yes, but it makes sense given her main objective in learning to control her powers. Poor nia though
I wish they made her like Dagaus(is that how you spell it?) and gave her a second affinity chart after completing her side quest.
That way she could actually get a good skills chart.

Right? I was actually thinking of completing her affinity chart earlier in the game but now... heck naw! I’m only 90 hours and still on my first playthrough. 😂
The saddest thing is I once used her on Nia in a casual playthrough so she could LOSE aggro as best as possible while maybe not dying

Electra is great on Nia, she’s already awful, so you might as well embrace how awful she is and make her as awful as possible!
I actually did pull Electra on Nia and she was useful in taking down the lv 18 UM deer who uses electric moves. But yeah, useless skill chart and then one aux core makes her pretty awful damagewise. At least, she is probably up there one of the most adorable blades in the game.
Now when I was a young xenoblade player, I did this. Now I feel stupid.

@@nodot17 Kosmos is actually amazing on Nia since her level 2 heals everyone and Nia works really well with cannon types.
Kinda feel bad for Nia though. As a blade she wasn't that great, as driver she is the worst, as a character she got friendzoned. Monolith really hate her.
Electra is a good girl who tries her best and just wants to help. Stop bullying her!

The baffling design decisions behind some of these Blades' abilities makes me hope that somewhere down the line there'll be Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Definitive Edition with some serious rebalancing.

Hearing Electra’s issues in this video and reading a few comments actually gave me an idea, what if you put Electra on an attacker you are controlling and then switch to her whenever you get aggro to lose it. This actually sounds perfect for her because you don’t have to worry about her damage so you can go all in on defense and pull her out whenever you need your squishy attackers to lose aggro lol
that not good idea. Electra because of her block rate is meant to take the one shots. though using attack to get aggro is not bad. just switch when aggro is on you. When I was using electra when I was healer blade I had get back electra as soon as possible because healers are really bad taking damage. If give the driver who are attackers healers then they shed the aggro when they switch any aggro goes on the tank.

You would think that with how peppy she is, she would be an attacker. Regardless of her powers that she doesn’t even have full control of, would you really trust a little child of a tank Blade to defend you?

that chain attack where you go from electra doing 5 damage in a 5 year animation and then going to qtpi and elma doing like half the health bar in seconds says a lot about this blade.
I believe you've said this before, but Shield Hammers would be sooo much better if they forced aggro like Hugo in Torna. Electra's overkill defense might mean something if that were the case.
I mean, they would still be outclassed by every weapon, but at least there would be SOME niche.
Electra is one of the best at blocking, tho.

How to use Electra:
Use a 4 crown, common TNK blade with good battle skills and not a garbage weapon
Electra is so terrible to the point that good common blades completely outclass her.

They really should have given more blades the Dagas treatment i.e. after their blade quest, a true affinity chart.
I mean, imagine Herald getting higher ratios after her blade quest (as I've said before, she's one of the blades with an excuse to have ratios as high as or higher than Corvin's)
Or Electra getting a reward skill after getting her special field skill up to level 5 (something like a Brighid clone; damage increases for every block?)

I can fly through the game with Electra
I have trouble with other tanks. with Electra you have know what fighting and put reflect what element you should be reflecting. what nice reflecting what would one shot you. the problem with IA that will switch to Brighid and well she less tanky and driver dies.
I have a feeling that most of the blades that will be covered soon will be because of Chuggaaconroy's current Let's Play.

She has that extra oomph you'd need in a pinch when you don't have many other rare blades with it. Level 3 Focus is still nothing to scoff at. (Didn't mythra in torna only have that many levels of focus as well?)
Also, there are electric mastery field skill checks in the main story btw.
Still better than Godfrey who has no field skills outside of his quest or merc missions.

What they should have done otherwise with Zappy Girl was make it about 3,000 aggro per second instead of 30. That would've made her actually decent at gaining aggro and being able to be a tank.

Man I was really happy I got this as a blade for Morag, I thought it would synergize with her, and Enel just broke my spirit.
Real title should be: How To Roast A Loveable Girl Who Got Cursed By Devs. I pulled her early and used her a fair bit in my first playthrough.
Although she is pretty terrible, one thing I like is the sound she makes when she uses her fields skills.

Electria, adorable character stuck with horrible passives, depressing damage and speed in regards to specials. It's honestly quite sad at how bad she is as a blade and this is coming from someone that has her as a personal favorite.

I know how to make Electra good:
step 1: mod the game so you get 3 Electra blades
step 2: develop all of the Electras and give them good equipment
step 3: go into battle so now Electra's going to have aggro no matter what :)

I've always read Dilaton chip as dilation. I also similarly read Corvin's Halteclere as Hauteclere for the longest time. I guess I'm just good at misreading words as similar looking words (or in Halteclere's case, a different spelling of the same word).
Super tanky defense is a fun idea but I think Poppi Alpha does it ten times better.
Without any block rate up, Electra is still 2% higher block rate than poppi

It only goes up from here folks, Electra is truly the bottom of the barrel of Blades. Literally every other blade in the game - including her "competition" in her tier - has some kind of function to take advantage of. You literally only use Electra for a topple art on Morag or to take part in a blade combo, and even then there are so many better options. By far my least favourite blade, and the only one that I can call truly useless.
she also has the highest block which makes her beat her tier.

From what I can tell, she's supposed to have trouble controlling her power. That would have made high damage make a lot of sense with some other drawback. Not only is she bad, she's bad in a way that pretty much contradicts her own lore.
I just realized the energy ball next to electra's hair in her portrait looks like the obs icon.
Im on my first play through. Electra was the second blade I pulled. She got paired up with Nia and so far she's useful. Gives Nia a good health boost. Unfortunately at Chapter 7, I have gone through so many cores on Nia (and the party) and still no other rare blade has been drawn on Nia except Vess.
Damn bto she was also my second blade and also on Nia😂 first blade was Perun tho
The only way to use her is to go for a solo run with no other party members so that she has aggro. Her damage is so low though that all fights will take forever.

-Block Rate with Dilation Chip is 60%
-Clangy Girl increases Block Rate by 25% at Level 5
-Zappy Girl increases Aggro by 30,000 every second at Level 5
-Sparky Girl counters attacks with 500% ether damage at Level 5
-Specials: I dunno about you, but if I ever get hit with a hammer I'm gonna be left with a lasting concussion. So let's give all her Specials an extra 250 power. And change all their effects to increasing damage when in front of the enemy.

i remember being stuck on the aeshma's core fight and i went to pull blades and i pulled electra on morag and went oh cool a rare blade then fought the boss for another 2 hours not realizing how early i was dying

I’ll have you know I used Electra for the final boss on my first playthrough because I never figured out that you actually have to go in the menu for affinity buffs to apply and I desperately needed Rex to stop dying
Low tier blades like Electra would have benefited a lot from a aux core pouch upgrade in NG+ or something. That or having a second tier skill chart like Dagas does for every rare blade that needs it.
Its worth noting that if you really want to use Electra, you can use 3 shield hammers with an overclock bangle, you can infinity chain battle top into itself across all 3 hammers and then youll get to get and keep aggro
hey enel, is there a way to find out more information about the specials of commons (hit count, damage ratio, etc.)? coz i’ve pulled a lance with a very good skill tree (ultimate combo, challenger, attack aura) and want to build an optimal strategy.

Man in all seriousness it would of been soo much better if electra level 3 instead had the effect of drawing the entire parties aggro to her, replace the aggro every second skill to something like aggro depletion reduction where at idk at level 5, she doesn’t lose aggro at all or something like she does no damage, has abysmal art recharge and slow as shit special speed as is so at least if her game plan in drawing aggro, the let her essentially permanently keep all the aggro for the fight, its not like she will add much aggro anyway and considering how quickly other blades can rack up aggro all this would do is help electra retain aggro.

I use electra as my downtime - I basically do the most possible burst with two dps blades and then switch to lose the aggro while remaining safe.
This is basically what she's best at.
Which isn't much since evasion is always better but...
Electra feels like she was supposed to have a second affinity chart that was like 3x better than her current one like Dagas.
