Am I the only one that saw the " E sports entertainment" on top left, This can be great for our competitive youth in soccer and gaming that don't have much since alot of this stuff is around or more north of San Diego. Hoping for the best 👌🏼
I am for creating jobs and financial opportunities for my fellow San Diegans. However...there is almost no coastal open space left. Add that it's in the bay and now even more rare. Having an area for spawning helps provide fish that we sport fish daily. They should use some engineering skills and make that part a real estuary type of environment
Not sure about the location with it being on the narrow bit of land between the south bay water and the 5 freeway... How do they plan to make the whole development accessible to people other than motorists? Is it close enough to residential neighborhoods for people to walk there? Is it close to a trolley or major bus stop, and will people be able to safely and conveniently get there while crossing one of the freeway underpasses? People drive pretty reckless over there. And is all the exposure to freeway noise and pollution worth it? If the design implies most people will get there by car (whether driving and parking there or getting dropped off), how will it handle traffic during major events?
MLS belongs in Snapdragon stadium, which is central to all San Diego. Who wants to drive all the way to Chula Vista? Snapdragon was built as a state of the art stadium and specifically designed for professional soccer. Chula Vista makes no sense.
I’m not a soccer fan but calling it the most boring sport in the world is crazy when soccer is the number one sport in the world 😂. To me it seems like a smart financial plan for the city.

Great idea MLS coming in then having their own stadium that will be epic good for San Diego
Will a future NFL team play there too?
@@dreamcage1801 Probably wouldn't be big enough to hold an NFL team, but perhaps an XFL since it'll be a small stadium.
@@itslife1399 bummer
Yes please
I just hope they leave the salt flats alone.
Any new news on this yet?
Construct it for CF San Diego & share it with the women's Wave FC.
Now if Phoenix, Ariz. had a club too it would be an automatic rivalry with SD!
That will be cool but traffic will be bad 🙈

How bout put an NBA team in SD
or NHL
@@Cobra-eu5pc possibly
@@Cobra-eu5pc We deserve all 5 pro leagues
I’ve been saying this for years. If the Clippers were smart they would move back to San Diego. Los Angeles is a Lakers town.
@@ih8suvz clippers are building their own stadium in Anaheim
Would be good if the nba expanded to sd
Sounds like they want an nfl team also.
Oh hell yeah
Bring the Chargers back to SD
They can go somewhere else.

Nah mls won’t pick them if they play in snapdragon
that can be a tempeory home for the team till this stadium is built
A lot of us live in Chula Vista douchebag
Steve A shut up this is a perfect idea because cmon bro Chula Vista is not even that far and it will be the biggest stadium in the US
Bring back the chargers but without dean spanos
New jobs too
Build it!!! So the homeless can have a soccer park
I don’t know why they have to mention diversity culture. Ppl are tire of wokeness and political correctness
Same here. America is gone berserk with it all.
I hate this city. Let the football team leave and build a garbage soccer complex. Literally the most boring sport in the world
from what ive read the company has talked to other sports teams and they are interested

@@Cobra-eu5pc highly doubt the NFL would give San Diego another shot anytime soon. But hopefully you’re right.
If you think soccer is boring then you have chronic ADHD… mental retardation is manifested in easily being bored 🤡
