Hi friends happy Monday!
Hope you are all staying safe and healthy out there. Today I wanted to talk about Gerald Stano, what a weird story! Its hard to find out what happened to Paul afterwards some reports I cam across said that he was still working as Chief of Police in different areas, which is just terrifying to think of. All in all I think PAUL was the scary one in todays story. What are your thoughts?
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day, Love and appreciate you guys so much!! I hope to be seeing you very soon

Baily is humanizing the murderers. She is not romanticizing them. She is not sympathizing but showing someone's full life through a psychological viewpoint.
Gwen N perfectly said 🙌🏼
Facts
Exactly
Perfectly explained!👏💖
This is why criminal psychologists exist. This is what I'm studying. Part of it is trying to find out if there's a way to cure it, stop it before it gets to that point, and learning how to better treat children so that we have less killers. And part of it is simply understanding human behaviour.
The backstory makes all the difference. We all have one
Ok but this was really well said!
Exactly!!!
yesss
Yep! Just because she shares a backstory does not mean she’s saying what the person did was right. If people care to listen about what my abuser did to me (I share to warn people), I tell them their backstory so people understand better
Yes!
Bailey: some people don’t like the back stories
Me (who has trust issues): ....but how else would you know what red flags to look out for?!
🎯
Some people are like bulls. They run towards red flags
I know, right?
ikr, i really like to know their background so i can avoid those people or to check myself if i'm showing those red flags.
@@struberichizkek that just makes too much sense for some people! 😂
Having no backstory would be like opening your history book in school and it saying, “World War 2. It happened.” Backstories are necessary.
Exactly 💯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Don’t stop with the back stories. They make the case more interesting and I also like to know they do what they do.
Honestly
People who complain about that are just odd to me lol
Love the back stories
I agree! The more detail you add the better it gets. I love your channel!
Love the backstories
I really like hearing about the backstories. It’s really interesting. If you don’t like it fast forward the video.
Or watch any other true crime youtuber, there's enough of them 🤷♀️
Agreed!
Exactly!!! This is why I'm watching.
Preach
Exactly! It’s been this way since the beginning so it should stay that way
Based off of the transcript Gerald sounded like he had special needs and the police officer took advantage of that.
Yes agreed! When babies are malnourished their brains do not develop properly, which could give learning disabilities (he did not do well in school) and other developmental and social delays.
Yep i thought the same thing with the whole tantrum thing as well.
I thought the same
I feel like they just want a suspect even if the person is innocent.
Yes, exactly my thoughts.
I think Gerald probably killed someone but not as many people as he says he has
I agree
Agreeeeee
People don’t like the backstories?? That’s the best part! That’s one of the things that makes your videos unique!
Exaaactly!!!
I definitely like to know the backgrounds of these people, I think a lot of the time it helps us to understand what could have pushed them to do what they did
Weirdos
agreed
True. It makes us think before we judge 😅😅 Like it makes her Videos unique really 😅😅
I personally love the backstories so please don’t ever stop talking about them in the videos and y’all that’s getting mad at her don’t watch her video than. It’s her channel and she finds the backstories interesting and so do others🤦🏽♀️😒 or just skip🙃
Same it gives insight on what could’ve caused this behavior.
exactly! i want to know WHY they are the way they are
Yep, I'm here for the back story and no one tells these stories like Bailey
Yes! 👏
PERIOD
As a psych student, the backstories are literally the basis of criminal psychology so you keep going Bailey :)
As someone born in Schenectady and living in upstate New York my whole life, I'm very proud that Bailey said Schenectady perfectly on her first try
Same
Same!
I’m from New York she didn’t say it perfectly lol
@@kayg7438 yes she did? I'm literally from Schenectady, and currently still live in upstate New York, that's how everyone I know and have ever met says it
Why do you guys call it "Upstate"? The whole thing is upstate lol. I'm honestly just curious, and thought maybe you could tell me. And yeah, that name is a mouthful.
I'd imagine people who don't like back stories, also have terrible taste in movies because they don't understand the importance of character development. Probably say "it started slow" a lot as well.
Exactly they can never get a psychological thriller or a novel.
💯
I also bet they need their hand held, having the movie tell them what is happening.
Spot on!
@@FeralFelineFriend yup, and those kind of people are why I am starting to loathe modern movies. I can see "whodunnit" within the 1st 15 mins...😥😥😥
I miss when movies and books were keeping you totally on edge and had more plot twists than a corkscrew, lol.
Back stories are so significant. They give you light into someone’s life prior to the incident....
Exactly! I dont know why some have problem with that!
Pearl Munoz I agree 100%!
There is a book about the lives of the Jack the Ripper's victims. "Jack" only gets a mention. It is all about the women's backgrounds. I definitely want to read it. A friend of mine read it and loved it.
I agree! It is very vital for me because I want to know what kind of person they were before commiting the said crime. You know kinda comprehending and understanding why, what and where his/her upbringing. I want to know what they were thinking before doing the crime. Just being curious
Yes! Who the heck has problems with these back stories?! Everything gives a backstory when it’s crime related. 🤦🏻♀️
The backstory is important. I've heard these stories several times BUT Bailey adds a backstory and I am interested to hear it. It gives a different edge. Thanks Lady Sairen!
So what if Paul did it and then found the perfect person to pin it on 🤔 I love having the backstories and knowing what happened in their lives to make them do what they did… it’s like a criminal minds investigation …… Also that look is awesome, love the lips.
That crossed my mind too
Exactly
Anyone that doesn’t want to hear about back stories have no appreciation for psychology or why the person might have ended up that way.
totally agree!
So right
That’s what I was thinking
Annatherandom totally unrelated but you’re hair colour is life!!!
Exactly !!!!
PLEASEEEEEEEE DO NOT EVERRRR stop giving a back story. That’s my favorite part because it makes me feel closer & more interested in the story. You’re doing great sweetieeee♥️♥️♥️
Truth!
Yesss please don’t stop the back story ! It’s gives the whole context !
Same! There’s no use in denying their backstory happened
Agreeeee!!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I can't agree more. You have to have the back story to truly understand the story.
"The police were wondering why he had never gotten caught. He was pretty sloppy." Well, after listening to both Bailey and Brittney tell these true crime cases, A LOT of these police seem to be pretty incompetent. Not asking follow up questions, not getting evidence, allowing people in a crime scene and then it gets contaminated, flat out refuse to listen to a witness and say they are making things up for attention (this happened in the kidnapping case of the girl who was walked out of her family home and her sister, who was in bed with her sister pretending to be asleep when her older sister got kidnapped, told the police what she remembered about the kidnapper and they refused to believe her.🙄
That story is so sad! Im glad shes safe now though
Fukking weird, more like just dodging work
You’re so right to go into the killers back story, I’m training to be a forensic psychologist, personally I think it’s valuable info 👌
For the reason I like true crimes is the psychology part of it.
I think providing backstories reminds us that these “monsters” were once every day people, just like us. It makes us face the reality that people are capable of such terrible acts instead of sensationalizing them and writing them off as different from society. Stay safe out there friends!
Well said!
Well said, I think the same 👍🏽
I like the idea that sometimes it's preventable and some of the older crimes wouldn't happen now. I've been watching a lot of Mindhunter on Netflix.
Exactly!!! I think a lot of these crimes could have been prevented had they gotten the help they needed or even just had people that actually cared about them.
That's exactly what I enjoy! I am always intrigued by what a life was before it went wrong. Don't you? 👀
Backstory on the killers let us know why and how they became who they are.
Agreed, love to hear what started, wonder what clicked or snapped?? Why, LOL
Exactly!!
Also the vids would be like 7 mins long without the backstory
Aimee J Palmer so true
Exactly!
I watch like 10 of your videos a day! You’re vibe is everything, love your personality, in love with makeup and I’m intrigued by your stories 🥺😭
Personally, I would feel like a large part of the story is missing without the back story. I don't think it's about siding with anyone to want to know, possibly, why this person did what they did. Listening to you explain all the details leading up to the crime completes the picture, so to speak. I hope you take other's opinions, including mine, with a grain of salt 😊
Keep the backstory- I’m a psychologist and am interested in how they grew up !
I am majoring and Psychology and I love the back stories.
Was it just me, or did Paul, the cop, look like the arrested suspect, just a lot older. As a portrait artist, I'm trained to look at features. Nose, ears, mouth and bones of the skull. I saw very strong similarities between the two men.
Yesssss same love delving in the backstory in order to analyze the psychology.
Yessss
ABSOLUTELY I am also a psychology major. I find it so intetesting.
I love how she always makes it feel like she is giving us the hot gossip in high school❤️
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HER
Forreal!
That is spot on😂
Because she IS SERVING IT !
That’s why she’s so interesting and funny.
I just read an article on how surprisingly easy it is to make people confess to crimes. It’s worth a google for anyone wondering why someone would confess to crimes they never committed.
"my liner wasn't supposed to be this big, but, this is where I am now."
Me too bailey, me too.
When Bailey talks about the background of these killers she’s going into their up bringing and what shaped them to be what they became. If you just want gore and drama, there are plenty of movies and shows that provide that. Stop hating on Bailey. Thanks 🙂🙄
Exactly!!!
Yes!!
Exactly lol those movies and shows scare me so bad😂 like dateline , they creep me out w the music 😂
Some people don’t understand the importance of the history
Right like bro the story literally does not match if you dont talk bout their background 💀
The back story is the most interesting part and frames the rest.
I agree.
Exactly
RIGHTTTTT
100000%
It is!
I love the way you tell the stories including the backstory. As someone invested in psychology, it's important. You got Schenectady just right.
You do such a great job with your research including the backstory. I think that is part of what makes you able to tell the complete case in such an interesting manner. Great job, Bailey!!!!!
The back stories are so interesting. I feel it is needed to understand more about why they did it.
Yes please ignore people who don’t like this. They can scroll on.
Don't stop the back stories! I 100000000% agree with why you do it and I love them too
Agreed
I like the back story.. Dont change anything..
The investigator should have to give his DNA.. Too bad they destroyed evidence.
lyrics for the theme song:
SHANASHA SHANASHA, SHANASHASHA, SHANASHAAAAAAAA
Thank you so much. I thought I didn't get it right. 🙏
@@speechlessmakeup youre welcome, luv. took me like 50 tries to get the lyrics right 😳

I didn't realize I've been screaming nonsense this whole time, thank you for this🙏🏼
I personally love hearing the back stories, they do help paint a full picture. Thank you!!
The back stories on the people are part of what makes the stories more interesting. I love listening to the way you tell them. Thank you Bailey♥️
I love the back stories. Don’t stop. I’m a curious cat

And satisfaction brought you back!!!
Curiosity killed the cat.
Satisfaction brought it back.
Is actually the whole saying. 😎😎😎 😷😎😷

You CAN feel bad for a bad person that doesn't mean you're justifying what they've done

The Morbid girls say,"feel for the child, not for the terrible adult."
The killers backstories are the best part of this kinds of videos! Keep going and stay safe our Bailey♡
Keep doing your show however you want, it is your show, I love this show.
Please do not stop giving a back story. How else would we get inside these people's head??

I think a backstory is 100% one of the most important thing.
I agree I like to know all the facts and backstory 😊
I agree.. Most evil humans turned out that way because they had messed up stuff happen to them. Not all but a lot of them.. Who knows what we may of turned out like if we were tortured or tormented by our parents. 🥴 Plus it’s simply just interesting lol
Yeeeeessssssss
The back story is one of the most interesting aspects of these stories!
I love the backstories. The best villains are the relatable ones.
“having all these subscribers is so strange, that’s a lot of eyeballs” ok i really can’t stop laughing
DAY 1 TRYING TO CONVINCE BAILEYYYYY TO COVER "THE 43 MISSING STUDENTS " IN MEXICO!!!!!!
But honestly students are always going missing in mexico. Like the student massacres of 1968 and 1971.
YES
YESSSS
The police totally did it.
Omgosh yes
The back story is such a huge part of the story. I love your channel!
Love the back stories, theme song, everything!! You tell stories greatly.
I enjoy the back stories on these people. Stephanie Harlowe does it too and I appreciate the time and effort it takes.
Stephanie harlowe goes off 🔥
Yeah that's why I love both of these lovely ladies.
Yes! Both make amazing content. I love Stephanie too
Bailey, and Stephanie.. The only two i regularly watch on YT! 💗💗💗
I've only watched Bailey Sarian and I get upset when other's claim that they came up with the idea when Bailey is the only one who has a legit story of conception.
I love how Bailey treats us like were her friends at a sleepover telling us all the gossip. Me and my boyfriend watch these videos together and it's always so fun. Please never stop doing what you're doing ❤
My boyfriend and I watch together also 😊
My dog and I watch together as well :)
~Aqua Tofana~
My bearded dragon and I always curl up to watch every monday
My bf finds this her videos pleasing as well! i love it cause he be watching the makeup tutorial too haha
I love the back stories. Just found you this year, 2021, and trying to catch up on all the old videos. You are doing a great job telling the stories!!!
I love the backstories, Bailey! They’re the best! You’re a fantastic storyteller with your own super-relatable style. Hello! Over 5.5 million subscribers LOVE you! You keep doing you, sweetheart!
Please don’t ever shorten the story or leave out back stories!
I love her giving a backstory let's you know more about the person
Farralah Mcpeek I agree, but let’s also learn more about the victims.
Chasity i’m pretty sure bailey has said before that, in respect for the victims and their families, she doesn’t go into great detail about them for privacy and stuff. as much as it would be interesting to hear more about the victims, i understand why she may choose to not go in detail :)
Exactly, let’s you know why they became who they are.
Agreed. I wouldn’t enjoy it as much if there was no backstory. You do a great job Bailey, don’t change anything. You have got so many subscribers because people like what you do. Ignore any negativity ☺️
I love and NEED the back story!! Having an understand of the people is helpful and also interesting. Thanks Bailey!!
I love hearing the back stories! I love all the videos! Keep doing you Bailey! You rock!
"Today we're taking about Gerald"
Me: *having never heard of him" oooh yess
Sameee 🤣
i felt that!!!
I LOVE THE BACKSTORY, everyone has a backstory and it has to be heard
Same! It adds to the story
ACTUALLY!!!!!!!
I love the backstories! It’s really interesting to me to know the backgrounds and sorta how they ended up the way that they are. I mean, the backstories definitely give the whole case more depth and it helps you get immersed into the story more, imo.
I love hearing the back stories on these criminals & killers ~ it gives you a look into what could have contributed to the madness 🦋🦋🦋🦋
You are Fabulous
You need to know a person's past to see how the ended up being what they were. I love knowing how they came to be.
Lindsey Connor you sound like you also enjoy Stephanie Harlows videos :D totally agree btw!
Facts
@@who1285 she is definitely one of my favorite. One of the main reasons I like Stephanie is I too am a psychology major and totally agree a person's past sets them on the course of their lifes journey 😀
The backstories are actually super important to understanding the psychology behind killers. Personally I love it
Love your series. Backstories make the stories complete and balanced. Keep it up 🥰
Yass girl keep them back stories coming! Because I love to hear the full sherbang it’s more interesting
I watch these FOR THE BACK STORY. I need to know their life and what happened. Like without it I don’t really care about true crime. It’s peoples lives and the choices they make that make it interesting and give me more understanding.
19hollister96 Completely agree! I feel they bring more context to the stories.
Agreed!
I'm interested in the back story too! Hence, another reason I love Bailey!
Absolutely!
19hollister96 Yes this!
me seeing bailey doing a natural brown eyeshadow look: is she ok
then seeing she puts glitter on her eyeliner 😌😌
I love that you do backstories! makes the stories more well rounded imo
love ya!!! :)
I just love everything about how you share these stories. This is my second time around and im watching the ones ive never seen as well because i can't find anyone else who shares these stories like you do. Big love for you Bailey!!
I genuinely LOVE hearing the backstories . without them you’re really just being told the same thing over and over about a person.
I like them too if not for the back stories you could just watch them on TV.

I love it when you give the backstory! It sets the whole series of events up, and makes you understand motivations. Just keep doing you!
Subscribed a couple months ago and LOVE how you cover the origins don’t change! I’ve been recommending you to anyone who will listen 😅
New tradition: Telling the last meal of killers.
Imagine knowing your gonna die the next day so you just binge eat food
I get everyone likes to hear their stories differently but I seriously love how you tell them. I also like knowing the up bringing of the person and then if they did get the death penalty what the last meal was. I flippin’ love you Bailey! I don’t know how I found you but I’m happy I did I genuinely look forward to your Monday videos.
The back story is my favorite part! Things I never knew or heard about some of the more notorious killers. Don’t change a thing Bailey!
Bailey, the back stories are the best!! Keep being you because you are AMAZING!!
Not talking about the back story doesn’t make any sense, especially when it comes to true crime. The back story is EVERYTHING, and it is important to research how/what led to killer’s behavior, motive, and psyche. And just because Bailey does research on the back story and talks about doesn’t mean she is using it to justify what they did. I just find it weird that people are complaining about her discussing the back story, like I can’t think of any true crime/ mystery podcast or shows that doesn’t do that.
exactly!
Fr
I agree, I am always fascinated with life/ behavior that may have led to these crimes.
Precisely
rather than editing out the part where she had brocolli on her teeth, she still included it in the video. the queen of being real to her audience!
YASSS BE REAL
I loved this! Even if she misspoke she doesn’t take it out
That's what I thought. It would have been so easy for to do it. Even if she had edited it out, I can see her breaking down in laughter and telling all of us about it.
I want to like this comment but it’s at 555 ✨
This is why I love her. She's so human and beautifully imperfect and I'm in love with it.
Keep doing you Bailey🥰 I love the back stories for the same reason. I literally love your videos and your personality. Keep doing you boo ❤️
I personally agree with you Bailey about the backstory of these criminals, I find it very interesting
He sounds like the kind of guy who would call himself a “nice guy” and would complain that women never like “nice guys like him”
The amount of guys that do this is staggering.
Ugh those guys are the worst
They're called incels
And people wonder why I can’t stand most men lol 😆
Whenever she posts I always sit down and watch her to relax. Honestly Bailey, your true crime stories videos are what's keeping me going through lockdown

Hey Bales! Super appreciative of the fact that you actually take time out for the told/ yet untold stories of the people who are not only damaged but disturbed early on for the rest of us. I absolutely do not think that you condone nor encourage the stories you tell but I am grateful for you telling these stories and giving a voice to the history of the beginnings of the debauchery. I wish true crime documentaries only employed her to tell their stories
yes! her and kendall rae, i love them both. kendall does a “where is” series where she talks about cases of missing people that are still ongoing and brings awareness to them! bailey and kendall are the best ❤️
I think it’s based off what kind of voice/tone people like, me and my mom likes true crime but she loves boring, straightforward people and I like people who make it unique and interesting sounding
