I heard in a documentary about the case, Dan and Rachel's "acting job" at the theatre was more like a hobby, than a real job - the theatre had barely any audience, so it shut down more and more over time - that's also, why Rachel's real job was portraying a Disney princess.
Kinda glad for all the other inmates, this Dan Wozniak guy's on death row and alone in a cell - I'd feel super-bad for any potential cellmates of Dan, having to watch him trying to practice his cheesy theatre-roles the whole day long, guess someone had LOTS of MERCY on all of them!

I was in the same unit as Sam in Germany. His passing effected a lot of people. He was an amazing person. Lot of people had memorials of him in their barracks rooms. I’m shocked you did a story on this. Just goes to show he’s still loved and missed and his story lives on.
The fact that Sam's dad KNEW his son didnt do it and he was right, but then later found out he was dead is so sad, this whole case is all fcked up.
Not just dead but his body was completely torn apart 😢

I literally just listened to this story on Mr. Ballen's Podcast. Julie was wearing the tiara because her bother, at their dinner, had asked her to be a bride's maid, and gave her the tiara. She put it on as she left, and that's why she was still wearing it at the scene.

I love the rant about bees! I too love bees so much, and speak to them when I see them. I once found a bee on the ground that was moving so slowly like it was dying. and I picked it up, got in my car, and when I got to my house, I sat it on the porch and nursed it back to health with sugar water in a spoon. It started moving quicker and quicker, and then finally flew away. It was a happy day.

The next jewelry collab you do, you should make one and call it the Aqua Tofana! My brother in law started a bee farm and info he gave me on bees and honey is amazing. He told me it helps with algeries and I had to try of course it worked. Just one of the many wonderful things bee's do not to forget polenation!
notice how many of these cases get solved purely because of a parents intuition? those poor people. sams death makes me want to cry. what a devastating betrayal.
it’s the fact that both these people who’s lives he took were such kind hearted people who would give anything. julie was so worried about sam she dropped everything to get to him to make sure he’s ok and sam literally thought something fell on his head rather than thinking dan hit him. may they both rest in peace and prayers to their families. :((

I'm autistic as well and I wanted to know why closed captions are important for you because I also often leave the closed captions on and have been asked on countless occasions why I do that and I'm not entirely sure
@@fruitcake969 i find it easier to consume content that way. just listening can make me zone out and then i have to replay what i missed, it’s kinda like i hear what’s being said but i can’t comprehend it. reading and listening at the same time kinda makes my brain take in information better C:
I don’t have autism but I have adhd and I have a really hard time watching something without the closed captions on. My mind wanders when I’m watching tv or videos, but if the captions are on, I pay attention to it 😅

It’s so sad to me that this guy killed a friend who was going out of his way to HELP him move and by loaning him money!
I don’t know if he was really going to loan him money or if that’s just what Dan told Rachel before they left. He probably would have loaned it to him if he asked him. Either way, he shouldn’t have killed him. It’s such a messed up situation.
And then kills another random person to throw the police off his scent. At what point do you stop and go "hmmm.. maybe there's a better way to go about this"?

I thought this case sounded familiar and then I remembered I studied this case in my high school forensics class because we did a mock crime scene and investigation where they had changed the names of the victim/suspects etc. We got to see a fake crime scene, the text transcripts, bank account information, and some other pieces of evidence and had to figure out who did it. It wasn't until after we solved it that our teacher told us this was a real case that was pretty local!
