G-Dragon's influence in K-Pop and why he is called the King:
1. G-Dragon is the first idol who ever wrote and composed his own music. After his song was a hit, idols were allowed to create their own music in kpop industry.(2nd gen)
2. The first official lightstick in kpop was designed by G-Dragon. Bigbang's lightstick Bangbong is in crown shape and has five petals, each petal represents each member.
3. Before G-Dragon, the most daring color idols would do was brown but he is the one who made colorful hair trend such as blonde, pink, blue, orange, red, green, white there is no color he hasn't tried. XD
4. He is a fashion icon. The first male asian ambassador for Chanel. He basically paved the way for idols in fashion industry.
5. He is the one who made idol airport fashion trend.
6. He brought genderless fashion for male idols in kpop. He is androgynous male model so he often wears women's coats and jacket for fashion shows and music videos and sometimes wears skirt on stage.
7. He is a true trendsetter and popularized many things. High-top shoes, skinny jeans, oversized hoodies, and fur hats are just a few examples. All the fashion things he trended would be too long list. XD
8. To this day he is still the only soloist from groups to win Artist of the Year/Daesang. Just after three years since debut, he had his first solo album out and had the most successful solo tour in kpop.(2nd gen)
9. His collaboration with Flo Rida was the first kpop artist collaboration with western artist.
10. He is a number one artist with most song copyrights under his name in korea and was the youngest person to be listed on The 10 Greatest Korean Composers at the age of 20.

he didn't seeing anything from YG before, he was introduced to hip-hop by listening to Wu Tang Clan at a friend's house. actually he doesn't went to YG, its the way around. YG scouted him after got recognized by YG's hip-hop duo Jinusean cuz they haven't seen a kid rapping like that at that time. pls research about it before sharing some fact.

I've been a VIP for 12 years and never once heard that before. I knew he was scouted by YG as a child after the boss saw him rapping. He joined YG Entertainment and became a trainee at a young age, but it turns out that he did indeed train under SM for 5 years between his time in Roola (1995) and joining YG. The more you know. just some random facts:
- GD was the one who invented lightstick in Korea/Kpop, he designed it by himself and as you can see now all kpop groups have their own lightstick.
- Yes the lightstick is crown shaped. That’s really cool. It matched with BIGBANG’s fandom name, VIP (very important people)
- GD was Jennie’s mentor and they’re really close, he’s like Jennie’s brother.
- Untitled 2014 has a lot of meanings behind it. It’s something about what happened in 2014 but no one knows what is it about, GD said this song is very personal to him, he doubted if he should release this song or not but yes in the end he released the song.
- There were crying scene in Crooked as you already watched it. That, wasn’t acting, at all. Let’s say that he faced a lot of problems (mentally) that year and while making the MV he really feel it? How do i say this.... He really feel the song and became emotional and he let it all out. Btw i think the whole MV making was in UK.
- He can do everything tbh. Sing, rap, dance, write & produce music. He’s a trendsetter, a whole fashion icon. He’s also Chanel ambassador in Korea.
