I've been a fan of GD for a long time & these boys reminds me of Bigbang when they're young way back 2013.. Specially Hanbin a.k.a BI he's the leader of IKON he writes most of their songs actually & you're right when you said it reminds you of GD the first time i saw him i was like "this Kid will definitely the next GD in their generation" in their WIN era they're team B (Survival Show) & GD is their mentor that time along with Winner (Taeyang's Babies) .. Thank you for the reaction video we Ikonics are proud of their achievements, We've witnessed all their hardships since their debut and I assure you that you will not be bored by their music.. we watched them grow as an artist & we will not be ashamed to shout that we Stan this talented group.. And i do know the drug laws in korea, i have been listening to kpop since 2008 and have seen a lot of idol drug cases (the real ones and the ones later proved fake), it's a very easy and lazy way for someone to ruin an idol's career/life

My tears just kept flowing when he kept repeating hanbin's parts, like my heart just knows how painful it is hearing how new ppl loves Hanbin and appreciates him so much.
I becam an ikonic after hearing the news that BI left ikon. I didn't know them at that time, but this news made me feel so sad. That's why I started to learn info about that group. And fell in love with them. Especially after watching Win:who is next. And BI becam my bias. 😍😭

I've aged 2 years listening and getting frustrated by his comments. With this dude sounds like GD, this and that, another song played and got the person wrong AGAIN. Pinpointing the two rappers and can't recognize them again and again, to Love scenario with him finding the person who sang first but actually can't find it in the vocal line because he is a rapper. LOL. This comment is not intended to offend, I just find it hilarious that whenever he says something wrong, my sister and I will look at each other and burst out laughing.
What you said is true tho, they actually resembled BIGBANG when it comes to music wise because they have been influenced by them. And GDragon actually mentored them during MIX and Match.
And honestly, in my perspective, iKON is super underrated. They need some recognition. Production wise, Music wise, Rap wise, Vocal wise, choreography wise and lyrics wise. And majority of their songs is a banger with meaning. I actually like their slow song more. And this is coming from a different fandom to be exact. I just love these kids. Show them some love.

You have good taste. There's a reason Love Scenario was a record-breaking song of the year in South Korea last 2018. The guy who sang first is actually a rapper, the leader/composer/lyricist of 90% of iKON music. He was awarded Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the year in 2018. Unfortunately, he was falsely accused in a scandal and was kicked out of the group by YG last year. Kim Hanbin is the genius behind iKON's beautiful music.

B.I /Hanbin wrote and composed most of their songs. Bobby wrote his raps except for Killing Me and other vocal songs 😅 Their biggest hit was written by Hanbin in just 2 hours with his other producer friends.
I think YG has been trying to attempt having a synchronized idol style boy group since they haven’t done something like that before.
I think Ikon was an attempt but Treasure (YG’s new boy group) was the final product. However, ikon does have skilled dancers, vocalists, and rappers and they are such a well rounded group. I hope you check out more songs from them!

iKON has that rare natural talent to hype and engage with the crowd spontaneously. It would be a waste to throw that away in favor of being a synchronized idol style boy group. If you look back at their predebut days they excelled in synchronized dancing but the natural swag they possess was unmistakenable. Synchronized dancing can be learned but not everyone has stage presence and spontainety not to mention iKON's masterful adlibbing is probably the best in K-pop right now. They have very good live vocals, are great dancers, and witty. A group having the perfect skillset for concerts is hard to come by. YG is very lucky to have them in a time they really needed to maximize returns through concerts at the time of BIGBANG's enlistment. Hence why YG made them almost exclusively a touring group without much promotion from the moment they debuted. Little upkeep because they entirely produce for themselves and don't need a lot of props.
iKON's Dahlia What I mean by “attempt,” is that YG didn’t have them keep the “synchronized” boy group image. I’m not denying that they aren’t great or synchronized in dancing. I’m just saying, unlike Treasure, they did not keep that concept.
I also know that iKON has amazing stage presence. It’s a known fact once you see them perform live and even watch them in their music videos. That’s the main reason why I became an iKONIC in the first place. Heck, each YG group that I have learned about has amazing stage presence so it’s almost a given
Piggybacking off of what you said, yes, there can be groups that are synchronized but have no stage presence, and iKON has both synchronization and stage presence. Its obvious YG wanted them to focus more on the stage prescience aspect. Another (kind of unrelated aspect) is Seventeen. They are a group that has synchronization and stage presence. (I.e. MAMA 2019 Hit performance) However, they decided to mainly focus on synchronization, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have stage presence.
What I’m trying to say is, I made my comment above knowing all of the things you mentioned. I’m sorry it came off as trying to put iKON or something, but I wasn’t. I appreciate the reminder. :)

It was not only about stage presence but their SPONTANEITY and other skills that makes them really great and natural live performers especially for concerts. 😊

Nice try =))) I recommend listening to their songs!! And you know what's better than Rhythm Ta? The ROCK version. Once you hear it, you can't never go back to the orig.
IMO, they have one of the best beats/melodies in kpop. And the group made it, mostly BI, the leader, and some of his friends in recording studio. Fudge, now I feel sad since hanbin is not in iKON anymore. SIIIIGH. I'm still a huge fan of the group though. Hopefully, they get together soon. I don't care whether under YGent or not. Their music is gold.

Than Treasure, winner & akmu more into fun, cheerful & colorful beat or instrument. Even their songs HYLT is have really hard beat drop.
