  • For all the people commenting that stance is dumb, these are the same techniques I used on my car to fit big sticky tires and avoid rubbing while pushing the car at full tilt. These are just some protips and tricks I've learned over the years that will work on any car when you're going for that baller stance OR racecar setup.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial, I had eBay spec coilovers in my Miata when I put it and had heaps of scrubbing issues, I just went and bought a set of MCA suspension coilovers and followed this tutorial to get it not to scrub and I cannot get it to scrub anymore! Again Thank you! Your videos are awesome! Keep it up!

    Very good video. Removing the coil overs while doing the test fit is a really good idea. This is the only video I seen that does this. Props!

    Nice Work! A stock look is also my preferred way to go, hope to roll mine soon, the mk1 miata was such a good design only the details need to be improved upon to achieve what you might consider perfection.

    I was looking for tips on pulling fenders to do my 40 ford but I’ve also got a 96 V8 Miata with 17x10 +25s so of course I had to watch this! Turns out after the dozen videos I’ve seen now I could have just watched this one! Very well done thank YOU for posting it!!!

    On an nb suspension the wheel hits the metal of the wheel well inside before the suspension bottoms out.. i guess i just jack it up to a few cm below that?

    When I rolled my fenders the roller barely fit in the wheel well so I had to start with an aggressive angle :/

      It was as small as it could get, my coil was just to low

      You can raise the coilover to avoid that.

      you should remove the coilovers to simulate bottoming out when checking for rub anyways. just do that before you start rolling and use the jack to adjust height. I thought the roller I had wasn't going to fit either but then I realized the obvious

      Yeah I wish I would have too, I finished the car at night so I didn't have time to take any pictures. One side note is these same techniques can be used to fit really wide tires for grip driving, so it's not just about #datstance :)

    What size are your wheels / offset and tires do you have? 15x8 +20? I love them! I don't want to stance mine, but I do love the look that yours has- especially where it almost looks like you have fender flares.
