  • Rail Operations Group class 37 comes to Train Sim World 3 thanks to a new locomotive DLC. The Rail Phoenix livered class 37 Diesel locomotive, adds a further 10 timetabled services to the South Eastern High Speed Route on Train Sim World 3.
    The new locomotive allows you to drive simulated class 375 unit drags using translator equipment on the locomotive.
    In this video I look at the new DLC and give you my honest review of the product.

    EMT HST. As a brand ambassador for DTG I sometimes get given content prior to release for testing and content creation.
    I am unable to show any unreleased content until it is release ready and has been approved by the developer.
    I have reported myself to DTG for showing too much, and have been invited for tea and biscuits!

    You did very well at making something out of the spurious amounts of info i gave you! very well described!
    It may be worth noting, that on some (if not most?) units, the exterior lighting works independently of the Aux on/off button. as long as the unit has electrical power for the MCB's, it will operate.

With this you could emulate the Class 313 scrap runs from Lovers Walk - Newport(?) giving a decent run along almost the full length (Clapham Junc I assume for GWML?) of BML. Also are the Class 465 still fitted with Tightlock couplers (or have Southern had them converted)?

    • @DadRail
      @DadRail  Před rokem +1

      That is the AWS Sunflower. When all black it means the last received indication was clear, when showing a sunflower it means the last received indication was caution. It is linked to the bell and horn sounds you can hear in the cab. Caution indications are given at adverse signals and some speed restrictions, and the driver has 2.7 seconds to cancel the warning or an emergency brake application will follow.

    Hi there, lovely video, I saw a 465 drag a few months ago and the tail lights were all on on the unit, there was no 3rd rail as this was on the Midland Mainline and I presume its something to do with the 37s electrical connections having enough power to power the TLs?

    Does this also apply to Electric locomotives that must haul an EMU for Depot and Dellivery move. For example Class 92 Class 777 700 707 555 & 717 EMU delivery by the channel tunnel or a barrier vehicle is placed between the locomotive and EMU being delivered. I wonder if the class 37 is equipped with a Buckeye AAR Coupler tow Class 313/2

    • @DadRail
      @DadRail  Před rokem +1

      Some locos have coupling adapter couplings and some use translators and barrier wagons. I thinks it’s irrelevant whether the loco is diesel or electric the same principles apply.

    • @callumfromekr
      @callumfromekr Před rokem +1

      When the units are delivered (IE 777, 555, 700 etc), they arent actually braking. they have extra wagons in the train for brake force (essentially creating enough brake to cover for the units brakes not being applied) and there is a series of long Red Train brake pipes running through the units to get the brakes to be continuous throughout the consist.
