    This video is making this look super easy.... it isn't difficult no but they forgot to mention that the inner plastic wheel liner has to come out along with the plastic engine undertray to access the inner bolts!! Nifty camera angles disguises this need. That adds to the time required. Took me just over an hour to change a pair of these arms on my 230k mile w211 as an experienced DIYr. AutoDoc prices rock I do use them alot

    Hi. I'm going to be replacing the upper and lower control arms on my W211. What was the purpose of you putting the jack on the ball joint?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před 4 lety

      Thank you for your feedback!
      The control tightening of the suspension fasteners should be done when the car is on its wheels, however, for easier access, we left the car hanging on the lifts, lifting the rack with a jack to the ride height.
      Stay tuned with us!
      Best regards,

    Can you make one for an upper control arm for a 2001 E430? is there a special tool to get under the computer boxes? man it's too tight going through the grommet, but i gather that's where one is supposed to go..

    If it is original rusty control arm the ball joint won't break lose from the spindle so easy, believe me. The ball joint separator breaks instead.
