- This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2023 Toyota Crown large hybrid sedan.
All Toyota Crown models have a hybrid powertrain, we have the top Platinum model with the Hybrid Max powertrain, a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic transmission, it gets a combined 340 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
The XLE Toyota Crown and Limited models have a 2.5L 4-cylinder hybrid powertrain matched to a eCVT with a combined 236 horsepower. The Crown is an AWD model. The Toyota Crown comes with some impressive standard features, a 12.3” driver display, 12.3” touchscreen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charger, a 6-speaker audio system, power front seats with driver seat lumbar support, heated front seats, cloth upholstery, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, blind spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert and active noise control.
Moving up one from the base model to the Toyota Crown Limited trim opens you up to many more features for an extra $5,400 CAD/$5,600 USD. It adds leather seats, driver seat memory, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, heated rear seats, an 11 speaker JBL sound system and 4 door smart key system.
The Toyota Crown Platinum model gets all those features and adds a panoramic view monitor, digital key and advanced park. In the US, the panoramic view monitor is available on the Limited trim. The top model also adds an adaptive variable suspension.
Fuel economy, the 2.5L hybrid Toyota Crown gets 5.6L/100 km, 42 MPG city and 5.7L/100 km, 41 MPG highway. The more powerful Hybrid Max Toyota Crown gets 8.1L/100 km, 29 MPG city and 7.3L/100 km, 32 MPG highway.
The Toyota Crown starts at XLE $48,565 CAD/$39,950 USD, Limited $53,965 CAD/$45,550 USD and $62,965 CAD/$52,350 USD.

Seniors here! We are no fans of SUV's. Really glad to see that Toyota gave us "Seniors" a reasonable alternative. Thanks for the honest review.
Just finished a 4 day rental of this car... was quite impressed. Even the base model showed fantastic pickup.. driving through the mountain passes around Canmore and Banff this car was a pleasure to drive.
I like my "small" Lexus shifter. You don't have to look at it and it doesn't not take up much space. A winner!
One big reason an older person, like myself, might like this vehicle - the seat is 4 inches (10cm) higher off the road than the old Avalon. That makes ingress and egress easier for the demographic this car is targeted at. My old knees would appreciate that.
That's one reason a lot of older buyers like SUVs, and I'm confident that was a big design consideration here. Folks our age are clearly the target market for this car.

I don’t understand why everyone is so negative about this car. It’s just different. Not everyone wants or needs an SUV. The gas mileage is amazing. I wanted one but couldn’t find one.

I think the Crown looks amazing. What's more important is the power that the max hybrid offers. They are giving you a lot of choices here. A sedan with amazing mpg or a sedan with amazing power and good mpg. The other four choices that you compared this car to don't even come close.

We always purchased ford five hundred’s and Taurus sedans they no longer produce a sedan. We were looking for a new hybrid full size sedan. That is why we purchased a crown limited. It is so nice to enter and exit. On our first tank of fuel we are getting 44.5 MPG 😊
I have the 2023 Prius Prime and now also the Crown Platinum (2 tone bronze.) As much as I love the new Prius, the Crown rides like a vault on wheels. So quiet. The ride in comfort mode is very smooth and power delivery is fantastic.
I see most of reviewers are comparing it to Lexus ES, but I find it most comparable to Lexus RX500h. The guts of the car are almost identical with very similar ride quality, sound proofing and power delivery, and it’s cheaper by 20k CAD.
I would consider the RX500H but not the Crown. They seem like totally different vehicles. I love my Lexus RX -- and I hate when I get an ES as a loaner, even though I'm sure it's nice for a sedan -- I just don't want a sedan. If I'm not driving an SUV/crossover, I'd rather have a hatchback or even a wagon.
Does the Crown has regen and how much?
I'd expect the Crown to be quieter than a Prius, just as I'd expect an Avalon to be quieter than a Corolla. It's bigger and more expensive. Of course, one big difference between the Crown and the RX is cargo versatility. To me at least, the omission of a hatchback on the Crown is inexplicable and unforgivable.

If you want practicality no sedan will make you happy. You have the Ravs, NXs, RXs to choose from. A sedan driving experience will always beat an SUV and will always be more refined than a hatchback. Both front and rear wheel wells are outside the cabin making it more quiet. That’s why there will always be an S class or an A8 in addition to GLS or an A7.

I like it.. Some people who buy things are not all about what everyone likes. It will be different, you'll stand out and you will be able to find it in the parking lot with ease with its 2 tone look. They act like the Large Sedan is gone, but BMW and Mercedes still sell them. Why not get a lower cost, high horsepower, smooth driving sedan that's better on gas?

Basically all luxury brands offer a sedan. BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, etc.
We put a deposit on a limited in heavy metal gray with tech package. This is basically my wifes car, and she absolutely does not care for ANY suv. she has owned 4 honda accords since 1995. We are both tired of the road noise and stiffer ride of the accord, including the 23 hybrid touring we test drove before going with the Crown. Love the quiet plush ride, and love the seating height for climbing in and out! I will add my wife has some mobility issues, and myself coming off 2 partial knee replacements last year love getting in and out of the crown compared to others sedans. Oh, and I liked the pep of the platinum, but just couldn't get over buying a hybrid and giving up 10mpg compared to the limited. I have my mustang GT for manual transmission for spirited driving LOL
We just bought a white limited after going to see and buy a Venza. We have an older truck and a new suv and are going to use the crown around town and some travel. So far getting 39 mpg. Yep we’re 62 and it fits our lifestyle while saving on gas. Rides great and is quiet. We didn’t like the two tone either. My wife loves it.
I have the Limited Model and loving it. For those who don't understand why another sedan and who it's for, the answer is that some people still want large sedans with conventional trunks but also want a car that sits higher. This model delivers just that. Getting in and out of the vehicle is easy on your knees, and you get a better command of the road by sitting a bit higher. You get AWD, a luxury interior, and great fuel economy (unless you choose the platinum). Toyota has done a great job. This is so much better than the Camry but still not an SUV. If you want an SUV, Toyota has so many options.
I own a 2018 Camry . The car is the best sedan in this price range 25K. The 203HP / 8 speed transmission are a perfect match. The suspension works well for comfort and diving hard . 34MPG AVG. using the 8 speed gives me all the control I need in manual mode. One pedal driving, hill braking and quick acceleration to enter the highway. Now my problem is I enjoy this car so much , I am hesitant to buy a different new car.
We just purchased a crown limited getting 44.5 MPG my wife wanted another sedan. Just on our first tank of fuel so far we love it. It is easy to enter and exit.
I'm a younger person who wants this car. After a long day of work the car better be nothing but refined and comfortable.

The Crown historically been an older person car in Asia with some money laying around. Remember that Lexus didn't exist until the late 2000s in many parts of Asia.
The Crown here is now more of a Avalon replacement that again targets more upscale buyers over the Camry but doesn't want the ES350. The higher ride height definitely also targets older people who don't want a SUV either.
BINGO. I can't stand SUVs.. like fat balding mid aged men/women.. this car is on my short list as is the ES350. u must be in car sales. I'm not "older" but i like the chill cruse vibe.. something these reviewers all miss..
I love a large sedan and the Crown Hybrid Max sounds like the next car I would get. This checks the powerful and fast boxes and gets way better gas mileage then my current sedan that checks those.
There are large sedans out there that get much better fuel economy without being a hybrid. It’s shocking that Toyota could only manage 10L/100km with this thing. However, I would look at this too if they drop it an inch to close that unsightly wheel well gap.

In April of this year, we took delivery of our new Crown Hybrid Max in the BronzeAge colour and we absolutely love it! I have never had so many compliments on a new car. Everywhere I park the car there is always someone of varying ages who wants to know about it. We traded in our 2013 Avalon XLE and I find this Crown is as comfortable if not more comfortable. I love everything about this car, its sporty look, two-tone colour, power and features galore and drives like a dream. I am another person who doesn't want to drive an SUV and I find the trunk has just as much as the Avalon. So, maybe I am the demographic who they are targeting, but I love everything about the Crown Hybrid Max Platinum in the BronzeAge two-tone colour.
The trunk is smaller than the Avalon, 15 vs 16 cf, same as the Camry. Same interior space as the Camry at 100 cf---and no better mpg. You should have bought a Camry hybrid and saved $12,000

@@joannerose8034 Camry and Avalon are same car. You paid $12,000 more for a Crown car that has no more cabin room than a Camry, no more trunk space than a Camry, and gets 15% less fuel economy than a Camry......guess you have money to burn.....

It’s kind of nice to see a bigger sedan. Dimension wise this is similar to my old 08 Chrysler Sebring (which btw was a fantastic car that I traded at over 300k kms with no major repairs)

You are right about being in the same league as the ES, but back seats don’t fold down in the ES in favour of a stiffer chassis. I also think that they have something else planned for the Crown.

I have a 2018 Camry XLE Hybrid, and I am going to replace it in the next few months. I went to my local Toyota dealer and compared this to the RAV4. I admired the Crown so much more than the RAV4. It is night and day! I also thought the entry and exit from the Crown was extremely easy. I am going to get the Crown. The decision for me is the Limited or Platinum. I have a feeling I'll be getting a Platinum. I think this is a great car, and is very well designed. I was considering a luxury car (BMW X3) but am nervous about maintenance and operating costs...so this is a great compromise.
With the Crown Signia you can easily go camping with automatic climate control all night long.

One thing I don't like is how the limited trim gets more interior color options. I mean, I like black, but I don't see why you can't get more colors in the top trim. You are paying even more money for less customization.
Last month, test drove the Toyota Crown, Lexus RX 350, RX 350h and Tesla Model Y. Liked the ride quality of the Crown, but I agree with Andrea, wished that Toyota would have designed the Crown with a large trunk, or a made it a compact crossover.
Liked the ride suspension of both RX models, the quite cabin, the 350 definitely had more response power than the hybrid model.
The Model Y, loved the technology, better than the other brands. Also, amazing power. However, the suspension were the Model Y fell short compare to the other brands. Also, the interior material, especially the seats not as comfortable as the other vehicles that I tested.
Decided to reserve the Lexus RX350h AWD Premium+, it had most of the things that will serve my needs. Expected delivery later this month.☺️
Wise decision my friend. That Lexus is built to a precision standard that Tesla is nowhere near.
@@jonathanratliff4780 You’re absolutely right about that. The smooth ride was very pleasing, even on uneven pavement. Noise cancellation in the cabin was amazing. Last but not least, the reliability of Toyota/Lexus has been proven for decades, so the latter it’s what was the most important factor, the others are great features that make it that more special.
Lexus is always the correct decision. It's a Toyota built to an even higher standard. You can't go wrong with that.
There is a crown crossover coming out I believe end of next year. Crown Insignia.
Now that I've seen a lot more of the Prius in person, this just just reminds me of a Prius'd Avalon.

I think the reason Toyota’s brought the Crown is because they’ve always had an upscale Toyota available above Camry. They’ve had Cressida, then Avalon, now Crown. The Avalon was very successful and the Cressida had sport sedan roots with its inline 6 but they were niche vehicles, which I think Crown will be. I can’t see the next Camry only getting the Highlander’s hybrid. I suspect that will be the base engine for Camry with the available 2.4 turbo hybrid on higher models. Camry has always been, even from its first generation, a leader with sophisticated engines - it was one of the first to put a transverse V6 engine into a front drive car with its 24 valve 2.5L V6 in 1989 and it was lauded for its smoothness. Another example: the Camry’s 3.5L V6 was introduced for 2007 but it first appeared in Avalon, in 2005. So Toyota has a history of previewing its new engines in upscale cars first.

As for the Crown, Isaw one at the driving range the other day. The colour was (I think) "Heavy Metal". I think the interior looks cheap for this price point ($63k in Canada for the Platinum) and the front clip is fugly. But the side profile and rear haunches are quite decent. If it floats your boat, go for it.
I bought a 2023 CT5-V (which is pretty similar to the Crown in length, interior dimensions, and price) and loooove it. Yeah, the Crown kills it in one category (EPA-reported fuel economy) but I get better average fuel economy than Andrea and Zach got in their time with the Crown and I do not coddle the accelerator.
FWIW, in my youth, my fave of Dad's cars was the 1968 Toyota Crown wagon. That car had an inline 6 and a manual transmission and didn't have nearly the scoot that this one has. Of course, it wasn't nearly as expensive as the current Crown.

I don’t get your comparisons … the Crown replaces the “top” car in Toyotas fleet (Avalon) … the Avalon is/was a sedan with, yes, a trunk! The Camry (second in line in Toyotas fleet) is due for a replacement in 2025. I am sure it will have a trunk as well? Toyota makes a Venza, Rav 4, Highlander, 4 Runner, Corolla Cross, Corolla Hatch, that all have hatch back openings? … there are still people out there that want a sedan for highway driving and by what I see in this new Crown, I think they’ve hit a homerun! … you can’t compare a Sonata or an Accord to this Crown … not even close? Just my opinion…
Ive driven a xle Crown at work and liked it. But what I want is a AWD hybrid Camry. Prius and Corrolla have it, why not Camry?
The base hybrid version is going to beat that epa rating by a good margin for alot of folks. The Rav4 Hybrid has a similar system and it I can get mine to do 45 mpg easy on summer days. Winter it tends to yse more but still very good for the size of the vehicle. I have no doubt the drive train will do wonders on this platform as well.

I think ease of ingress and egress was a big reason this car exists. Also the ability for the suspension to eat up bumps in the road. It’s not floaty but it mutes big bumps well.

I see a lot of comments about the two-tone exterior colors... Although the colors are limited, there are five single color options. The two-tone options cost extra.

I love the Crown but I love the Prius more... just can't find a Prius anywhere... My grandma wants a big old sedan. This is the car for her, but I think it would be hilarious if she got a Prius.

No one talks about ease of entry and exit for seniors. We have the Lexus ES and now it is like falling into a hole to enter, especially for my wife who has a cane and leg flexibility issues. Getting out? Which car would you recommend, Venza or Crown?
Camry is kamuri in Japanese...it means crown. Corona(another Toyota model) also means crown. 😄
No way that I would pay $63K for a top trim hybrid sedan that has limited utility. That two tone paint is brutal.
The roomy cabin actually reminds me of the first generation Venza. There's lots of head room and leg room front and rear.

I’m so thankful this is not a lift back. I’m sure I’m on an island alone. It’s like the best of a crossover sedan. Otherwise I think the Venza is a nice option.
Great review as always...this is such an unusually weird and yet plain car. It's almost like the car itself is confused about its own existence. Don't see it but to each their own.
Seems that since the move to turbo hybrid systems didn’t really give us better efficiency all it really did was make the powertrains more complicated and more than likely less reliable than the old v6. Same situation with the new tundra. I hope they prove to be as long lasting as the old naturally aspirated engines but its very unlikely. I do love the power of turbos, though. Lol
I would argue that it's more than the turbochargers vs Atkinson cycle that hurts efficiency in this style of hybrid. I think the e-CVT helps out with gas milage as well, it's a bit funky for sure, but it's a perfect instrument for mpgs in my opinion. Also the turbocharged engine(s) doesn't have as high as compression ratio that can help with efficiency. And of course you have neccessary evil(or is it?) of the waste gates on the turbocharger. These turbo hybrids are hybrids that aim to enhance performance as much as increasing efficiency.
The way I would kind of mend that bridge so to speak is take a page from F1 cars. Very high compression ratio with Budack cycle(basically Atkinson cycle but reversed), and a motor generator instead of a waste gate on the turbo. And finally the combustion chamber design. F1 teams have achieved over 50 percent thermal efficiency. Basically, I don't mind complexity(as long as it's reliable of course) but I want the complexity to pay dividends(which it can).
Come to think of it. The Budack, higher compression ratio, and combustion chamber design wouldn't really increase complexity over any other engine.
Too many wear items compared to the Avalan.
@@ghenry85 I don’t doubt that Toyota is more than capable of making these new more complex engines just as reliable as the old 90s 4 and v6 -but they won’t. The proof is all around us in the form of semi trucks. Straight 6 turbo diesels that last over a million miles without a rebuild. Planned obsolescence has been the name of the game for as long as personal automobiles have existed. The biggest driver for all the new tech is mpg numbers for the government regulations and so they can avoid fees for not meeting cafe standards. Saying it’s as much about increasing power as it is efficiency just isn’t true. Its just a bonus that comes with turbos.
@@Jay-bw3fl Do you guys actually understand why they changed the v6 NA to i4 turbo hybrid? this is not a matter of efficiency but a matter of reducing emissions because in other continents (outside America) there are several regions that have regulations that taxes will be greatly affected by emissions, if they enforce it then there are only two choices, namely between not being able to sell it in that region or selling it at a much higher price because paying taxes is more expensive (prices go up not because of dealer mark ups). Even as I recall, for example, the Toyota Highlander was only the i4 hybrid, which was sold outside America, for example in Europe and China, even in Southeast Asia, the average car from mainstream brands, such as Toyota Honda and even Hyundai, they got only engines that were i4 turbo or i4 hybrid, if want to take the V6 option and above, you have to prepare more money because the price will increase by 20-50%

For $71k in Canada for that model (taxes and all in) with no HUD, not terribly attractive and poor gas mileage, frankly I'll stick with my 2022 Venza Limited :) and wait for an Lexus ES redesign at some point in the future :) My local dealer has a base model of this that's been sitting on the lot for weeks, not a common occurrence these days...
Great review! Toyota has teased a sportback and even wagon-esque version. If that's so, yea! I agree on the dislike of the two-tone especially in the red/black combo. That'll date quickly. Also, to me, the gloss black on any car's outside, such as the bumper area(s) and other trim pieces sends it downmarket,... and the lower sides of the console, on this presumably otherwise "Crown" level of car, need to be carpeted or at least padded/faux leather. I don't like that the shifter is fiddly ("quirky" as Andrea says)--unnecessarily, don't fix what ain't broke--but it's still leagues ahead of the fukakata pull-push buttons and rotary knobs. I'm with Andrea on this one, the shifter is everything. It should fall readily to hand, be immediately intuitive, ideally something you hardly even have to look at to operate and never be anything that you have to "get used to." Too important a function. It doesn't have to be big and clunky like some of the trucks get; there are plenty of examples out there of nicely trim regular shifters.
What a awesome car. I'm 6'4 and interior leg space is important. When I want to go racing I wont use this car. When I want to sleep over I'll use my motorhome. The soccer kids are gone. It is when I want to use a real car that I drive this - that is most of the time. Do you ever ask why the AMC Eagle (a 4WD first SUV by a different name) did not make it? The first 1,000 miles on my Limited yielded 45+ MPG. Better than a Prius. Better than my awesome 4 VW TDI Passat's!. Those that can't understand why Toyota brought out a CAR? That is because some of us actually like to drive a car. This is better driving than my Audi Q7.

I'm waiting for the wagon version of this. Much more practical and as Zack mentioned, even the sedan should have a liftback.
The Toyota Crown has been available in Asia for many years now. It is a very comfortable and reliable vehicle. Most Taxis in Hong Kong are Toyota Crowns with hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer. The crowns are a little bigger than the Camry.

I seen one on the road in the black and white combo. Its big which is fine but that black and white made it look like its a fleet/company vehicle or something. i would rather just one colour and a black roof.
I agree with Zack, in fact, I think it could have been the best looking Toyota, however, Toyota seems to always find a way to mess things up... that black strip down the middle and that lower black cladding on the sides completely ruins the look, to me... they make the car look like a child's toy car instead of a mature elegant vehicle that it supposed to be.

Toyota Crown always has been the top sedan, possibly a link between Toyota and Lexus. I remember it used to be Corolla, Corona, Cressida and Crown. At least in latinoamerica.
I bought a Toyota Crown 2023 last December and For 20 years I've been driving German cars but i decided to change for some reasons and i can say The car is amazing, so comfortable & has a very good prestiege; But I have an issue if I talk inside the car using my phone or open music the sound everyone can hear from outside but that thing really I'm trying to find a solution for. If anyone has any advice please let me know.
Since all large sedan competition gone! Interesting... so Toyota says, we do it. Since they have one from Japan, nothing to lose.
I expect to see very few of these on the road. Toyota doesn't seem to have many "misses", but I think this is one of them. The one thing that I do appreciate is Toyota building the screen into the dashboard rather than the trend of just bolting on a tablet, as so many manufacturers do.
The bolt on tablet look like an after thought. Totally ruins the look for me.
I would just get rid of the screen completely .. and go back to good old manual controls and large knobs to control things.. The dashboard would be much better, safer to drive, and easier to use.

Thank you for your bruterly honest review of the crown. At first I thought it was a crossover but it is a sedan. I don’t think it look as luxurious as the new is. I love those wheels on the max you drove. Inside the stuff looks average on a Toyota nothing wow about. Of course nothing as high as a Lexus. That is why Lexus is so much a wow consider a Toyota. The seats on a Lexus is much better. The price of these new Toyotas are getting too expensive and moving towards Lexus territory. I got the Venza very close to the Lexus but not a Lexus. I wished they can do better on the luxury styling interior. It drives like a Lexus almost. But better than the other cars I had. One last thing that drives me crazy each year they introduce a new year car they add something more to it that the last year don’t have. Example I got the 21 Limited Venza I really wanted the spot lights and the next year same model they have it. So with that much money invested on it they don’t give us what we want. Lastly have to go to the top trim for 360 cam and overhead projection that I wanted. With the top trim I wished Toyota can do the best since I am paying the most for it. Add some extra luxury bonus features. Like better speakers, I don’t something that will wow us to spend that extra to get the top trim. I feel the mid trim could have the 360 cam and overhead projection. But we are forced to. Thanks guys

It would look so much better in one solid colour. I have to give Toyota props, this Crown handles really well, the Hybrid Max powertrain is terrific.

I had a Toyota Crown when they were first introduced back in the early ‘70’s. Good enough car, but it had rear end vibration between 60 & 70 mph. Dealer blamed it in an “out of round” or unbalanced tire. Rebalancing and/or replacing the rear tires did NOT stop the problem. I traded it in after a couple of years. The crown was discontinued shortly after. Apparently the problem was solved with the introduction of the LEXUS a couple of decades later. They got it right! Don’t know why Toyota resurrected the Crown name. Hope it does better than the 70’s model.
When compared to the Avalon, it fails badly: not as quiet, not as comfortable, not as good looking. And I get much better mileage than 32! Glad I bought a '22 Avalon Ltd.!

Crown is an old top model of Toyota in Japan but not marketed in US, the closest model in US was Cressida which was a luxury Toyota before Lexus was available.
what happen if the 2024 Camry comes a little bit bigger as the old one ? then why you need this one ?
Very happy the base model has cloth seats and no sunroof. Personally I don't buy any care with leather of vinyl seats or a sunroof and that is getting harder the find.

I’m with you, it’s “crown” in name only. It doesn’t even have the iconic emblems on the front, rear, and C pillars.

Excellent review as always. I don’t think sedans are back. Toyota itself can see how the RAV4 eat the Camry’s lunch for years now, so I agree that they should come with a Crown SUV if they want the name to survive in North America.

i love the way the car looks but i hate the back of it. wish they went with something like the buick envista for it. in fact the reason i like the envista is because it reminds me of the crown but with a better looking back.
almost got a crown, but the interior feels so cheap ended up cancelling the order and got a model y instead.

I think the two-tone looks like some hyena because it’s not subtle and very harsh flow. It will look dated quickly. Don’t buy it in two-tone.

Front fascia looks like a largemouth bass, needs a liftback, and a RWD platform. Not a complete product but it's interesting.

Saw a bronze one...beautiful car. The only thing I wish is if it had a hatchback and roof that opens. Styling is awesome with the black, not boring. I am in my 50's age group
The Crown Platinum reminds me of the 2015/16 Camry V6 300hp which has the same gas milage. But today it's really about the technology and with the carbon tax increases, the Federal Clean Fuel Tax and the EV government rebates. And now they're taking about reducing the number of parking spots and putting everything on the same charger. I just wonder how many of these new vehicles can drive uphill on the Coquihalla highway at 120 Kms per hour for close to an hour? I don't think most of these new vehicles have the power or range but the Crown does.
2:32 rear all-red brake/indicator combination lights are a fail and should be illegal.
I hated that my next car may be a hybrid and no more V-6, now that Toyota and Lexus had switched to all hybrid including the reliable RX350. Never understood who cared about MPG on a $60,000 car.

Comes in solid colors. 2 tone is extra and harder to find.
I saw a Toyota Crown today and I thought it might be a nice replacement for my Mazda 6, since Mazda stopped making the Mazda6.
Limited is for a daily driver. Platinum is if you want a sporty daily driver. I would take the 41 mpg any day.
