[This was an idea I had to use the song from Arthur Morgan's Final Moments and I simply implemented that into John Marston's Final Moments. I feel with this video it shows a more heart touching moment to JM's Death what with the music along with remembering those close to him in the end. Hope You Like It!]

In a remake, honor should effect the epilogue:
- Low honor: Jack confronts Ross in his outlaw clothes same as in rdr1.
-High honor: Jack confronts ross in fancy citizen clothes because he became a writer in stead of an outlaw. He kills ross and then throws his revolver in the river, never to use it again.
Jack then basically follows his fathers footsteps. If john was bad, then jack will also be the same and vice versa.
Also I’d expect John to have the following flashbacks depending on your honor:
Low honor:
- “Revenge is a fools game” (Arthur)
- “You are my son” (Dutch)
- “What choice did I have?” (John)
- “At least die like a man!” (Sadie)
- “Just be one thing or the other!”(Arthur)
- “It’s just like old times huh?” (Micah)
High honor:
- “I wish things were different, but it weren’t us who changed” (Arthur)
- “You’re my brother” (John)
- “Our time has passed, John” (Dutch)
- “I wish I had acquired wisdom at less of a price” (Hosea)

I was thinking since Arthur gets shot in the face when you choose to save John with low honor, I say that when this cutscene plays, John attempts to run out from behind the barn, only to be shot in the face by a Pinkerton if you have low honor.

With the ending of Rdr2 the ending of the first Red Dead Redemption gets a whole new level added to it. At least if you chose the honorable ending (which is what I consider the canonical ending). John's death can be seen as him trying to do what Arthur did for him, allowing his family to go and survive, emulating someone he grew up seeing as an older brother, someone who gave his life to help him. Dying a hero faced with immeasurable odds, knowing he won't make it out alive but wanting to give others a chance to be able to. Even telling them the same words he was once told by Arthur, "Don't look back."

Personally I think it's way better without the music. All you can hear is a few choice sounds. John struggling to breath through lungs filled with blood, Ross lighting his cigar, and a fly buzzing around while john falls to the ground. Honestly it adds to the scene and makes it sink in way more

MrCleanz If you look at it, Arthur only started to redeem himself after he got sick, if he never got sick, he might not have saved John or anything.
I remember watching as John died and thinking "Oh, I messed up the dead eye woops." I was never good at using it, likely because I rarely felt the need to, so I assumed that I'd just done it wrong. Watching however as the death scene carried on and as the "Dead" message didn't pop up, it slowly sank in that he had died. That no matter what I did, John was always going to die.

If there's a remastered version during this scene there should be two options the first is to shoot ross which would activate dead eye but before you can fire you get mowed down while the bad honor version of "unshaken" plays while the other option would be to toss your gun you still get mowed down but the high honor version of "unshaken" plays.

Rockstar needs to remake this game with more lines connecting RDR and RDR2. They should make people such as John, Bill, Javier, Dutch, Abigail and maybe Ross mention past characters

Rockstar needs to remake red dead redemption it should incorporate the player's choices from red dead 2 which mentions John time in Dutch’s gang similar to the walking dead video game

John has come full circle. He stayed behind to hold off Ross in order to save his family just like arthur stayed behind to hold off the pinkerons so john could escape. They both died in the process. And they both died fighting. John died having one last gunfight against ross and Arthur died having one last fist fight against micah. They both went down...like true gunslingers.

John new his time had come the moment he saw those soldiers ride onto his farm. But I think in a way in this scene John had seen Arthur and Arthur would say John don't be afraid cause am with you till the end.

But John's was brutal, wasn't an instant kill, man just got riddled with bullets and bleed to death

May the two brothers rest in peace as they truly had their redemtion. Red Dead Redemption in the end was not john or arthurs story its about saving jack marston from the cruelties of life in the dying wild west and having a life of not running from the law.

Honestly, of ALL the games I have EVER played, RDR2 has given me soooooo much happiness (in the past couple of years, I have experienced very difficult losses... my parents, and my stepfather, who was a truly wonderful & kind man, that treated me as a daughter & did so much for me), and then the end of a very long-term friendship... all along, I had been much sicker for some time & was not able to do much, because of being stuck in bed. I had been at the lowest point in my life for some time, feeling numb with no end in sight. Then, RDR2 came into my life, bringing me happiness... having BEAUTIFUL horses; going HUNTING, getting three star & legendary animals; fishing, exploring. Playing good guy... or not taking sh_t from a no good bully/jerk & being not-so-good, by robbing people & fighting the law... taking on the various gangs & taking them out; paying my bounty, so I could start anew (sort of).
Anyway, readers around the world can relate to me about what they too have experienced playing the game. To put it in a nutshell, the game got me to SMILE AGAIN, and to enjoy being a part of something. Having so much fun playing the game, that the day flys by! I have lost touch with so many friends over the years because of being chronically ill & I have missed out on so much... the game has given me MORE than what any amount of money could- the ability to enjoy something! For so long, I thought being able to feel happiness had died in me long ago... more than 2/3 of my life has revolved around seeing doctors, letting them know if I was getting sicker; going to the ER; having bloodwork, testing, etc.
To EVERYONE that made RDR2 so spectacular, and all those talented singers & musicians that made the BEAUTIFUL music- all those parts have affected me in a PROFOUND WAY... thank you all for giving everyone of us the chance to have fun, play out a more realistic fantasy of cops & robbers (us girls can really kick you-know-what & shoot-em-up, just like you guys!).
P.S.- I cried when my beautiful white Arabian Lady Di died, but it affected me much more deeply when Arthur died...
I saw the reactions of other gamers & my heart goes out to them.
Seeing John build the house & then marrying Abigail, I would say that was a beautiful moment. The most gratifying moment- was when I (finally) got my revenge by blasting Micah with 5 rounds! Right after, I wish I could have dealt with Dutch & his past behavior as well- he would have been looking down the barrel of my smoking gun!
My heart died..
