CORRECTION - I accidentally stated that bourbon needs to be aged in American oak but this isn’t true. It is aged in new, charred oak casks.
💯🙌🏾🤞🏾
Where can I purchase the citrus peeler you are using?
👉 amzn.to/3yTaoQy
Ordered when first announced, any idea on shipping dates?
@@StevetheBartender_ Thank you!!!
Briliant!!! Just brilliant!!
My favorite bourbon based cocktail is the Revolver. I first had one four months ago and thought it was great!
its such a good mix of bourbon & coffee liqueur!
Fantastic! Great content.
Great video!
Awesome video
You earned a sub.
You’re the best thanks
These were the very essential and classic cocktails.

I was missing this smile so much.
Love this video! Would love to see one on rye's
I m in love with the killer smile while shaking...
dat dot got me good :D
Ordered and subscribed as suggested by Anders!
I just made the Whiskey Smash a few times for a very small crowd and WOW that turned out great. Thanks for sharing. Cheers! 🥃
I'm just here for the smile 😁
nice creeper smile while shaking the shaker
Great cocktails! I just subscribed to your channel and I bought your book.👍🍸
You forgot the Manhattan! An easy to make must have for whiskey drinkers! Cheers mate!
Kentucky Maid sounds great but the gin version reminds me of an Eastside. What's the difference between a London Maid and an Eastside? They seem incredibly similar
That smile. That damn smile...
I like to make a goldrush and add some soda water to it too
Sweet on the book! Will order!
Thanks legend! 🤙
Appreciate the prolonged eye contact after spanking that mint 😏
i like your smile
Big thanks for bourbon cocktails! but will you update your application?
Finally thy uploads
Yeah there was a bit of gap… 😬
I want to see a jack Daniels episode!!!!!!
20 years ago I worked at a liquor store in Indiana. Back then, blue laws kept us closed on Sundays. One time, the boss took us to Bardstown KY to visit Buffalo Trace and others. We got private tastings at all the places. At buffalo trace, we even chose two bottles that would be bottled just for our store.
6:04 i laught a lot 🤣
Great vid
Thank you!
@@StevetheBartender_ went and tried the whiskey smash after watching. Might be a new favorite!
Bourbon is so sweet already. I don't feel the need to add more sugar.
Thanks
Thank you Vamshi! I appreciate the support 🙏
So much for dry January hehehheheh 😈
I like this video format a lot, maybe you could try this out with other spirits too?
I definitely will if people like the format 👍
I agree ☝️
@@StevetheBartender_ this format is excellent! I love to travel. If I want to make cocktails abroad I'm not going to buy a whole new bar's worth of spirits and drink myself silly to finish them before I go back so 1 bottle + easy ingredients is perfect!!
@@StarKnightZ Thanks for the feedback - I'll make a series of it!
@@StevetheBartender_ just found the channel because of this one. I like the format. Thanks
Hi steve care to share a cocktails with spice salt rim please i have a guest request spice salt rim cocktail thank u
Thanks! Help from Texas! You're my go-to for drink recipes, educational and entertaining (my wife has a crush on you, I'm jealous). Keep on smiling and shaking!
Hah, thanks so much Wayne! I appreciate the support 🙏
It's like you start shaking and then realise you haven't smiled. So you throw one out 😂 great
Can we use Jim Beam?
It was always makes my day when Steve smiles when he does the shake
i've been away a while, your back bar is getting bonkers!
Haha, that's not even half of it!
Pls make a tutorial how to smile while shaking
You’re the best thanks 🙏
Steve can i get the softcopy of your book?
all cocktails looks amazing, thank you!
I’ve tried them all back to back and now I’m shitfaced. Thanks Steve!!
The Julep was created in Richmond VA by Jasper Crouch, former slave
Like the video. Kindle price only 5% lower than hard cover?!
i use the wild turkey 101
With the e-book version of your book, will there be a link to the videos?
Steve, have any good Halloween punch ideas?
You have some of my faves in there
Sounds like music when he shake it lol
An old fashion is made with a cube of sugar and poor a couple of dashes is angastora bitters in it and melt the sugar then pour in the whiskey
Yes, you are correct.. that is one method on how to make an old fashioned.
yeehaw!! loved this!
Thanks Brittnee! Which would be your first pick??
How do you make the syrup 3-1 2-1?
Must be nice having Buffalo Trace just sitting around to mix!!!
I didn’t realise it was so hard to acquire elsewhere.. there’s plenty on the shelves here.
Why have you stoped using milliliters on you videos. Big fan by the way.
It's the smile while shaking that got me...😂😂
Thanks again...love the channel
I prefer to reverse dry shake my whiskey sours.
Lol loved the different angle on the shaking smile 😃
100% ordering the book, but can only get it from the 15 November In the UK
Yes, that’s the publish date. It’s not available anywhere until then.. 👍
Should have hit the boys at The Gospel up for a bottle of Whiskey
works also without mint? or something else instead?
You realize in many markets people don’t see Buffalo trace on the shelf and is highly allocated.
I found out as a result of publishing this video.
& great easy cocktails :)
Here we go! My annual 2 month period, where I absolutely binge all of your video's in preparation for New Year's Eve. Cheers, Steve! I can always count on you for inspiration.
Man, you are organised! 🙌🎉
@@StevetheBartender_ the brown derby and the gold rush are two of my absolute favourite bourbon drinks
The whiskey sour you made in another video with orange juice also is my favorite
Buffalo Trace is my FAVORITE daily drinking and mixing Bourbon.
Good choice!
The close up of the smile.... Hell yeah haha
I loved the whiskey sour!!!
I'm so excited, just purchased your book Steve..👍👍
Oh my gosh Steve! I almost got heart attack with this video. I was watching it on my OLED tv and in 1 point of view (where you are talking to the camera) there is one bright spot, near your face, which is looking like a burned pixel. When I came closer I've noticed that it's something on your camera lens LOL great cocktails tho!
Someone else has mentioned that too... but even on full resolution it doesn't show on mine 🤔
The step-by-step demonstrations, coupled with useful tips and variations, make it easy for viewers to recreate these delicious beverages at home. The visuals are visually appealing, with close-ups of the mixing process, garnishes, and the final presentation, adding to the overall appeal of these cocktails.
The Kentucky maid is awesome, great recipe
Where did you get the simple syrup container?
Great tips! Just a heads up, your main camera seems to have a dead pixel in the center top half (right on your beard).
Thanks Rasmus! In other recent videos too or just this one?
@@StevetheBartender_ It's present in all the videos since Mai Tai. Might be for longer, I just went back and checked until that one. Except the Campari video - it looks like you used a different camera in that video.
Steve, my favorite part of your channel of course is your drink mixology skills but right there as number 2, the little thing you do while shaking drink when you go from serious/concentrated to smiling at the camera. Class mate, CLASS!!
Am recommending your channel to everyone I know.
Thanks Discourse!
As someone from Kentucky, the only thing I mix with bourbon is ice.
I just followed your recipe to a tee for the Gold Rush- made my own honey syrup for the first time. This drink is sooo good! After a trip to bourbon country have become a connoisseur of bourbon 🥃
@steve - Would you please recommend a METRIC jigger (i'm not looking for a hybrid...i want a METRIC jigger). Suggestions?
As others have said, this is a great format. Cheers! 🥃
Thank you! 🎉
Steve thank you for helping me become a better bartender with your videos and recipes. Hope the best for you and your business!
Thank you Spaceman!
WOW! The Brown Derby (2 to 1 honey) is delicious! Thank you!
Nice lounge here in california that makes the Kentucky maid adding a splash, 1/4oz St Germain, called it a Kentucky Preacher....really good..and.....
Thanks for the videos
That sounds like a cross between a Kentucky Maid (bourbon, cucumber, lime, mint) and a Irish Maid (Irish whiskey, elderflower, cucumber, lemon, mint)...which sounds tasty!
BUFFALO TRACE IS KING
Thanks for doing these kinds of videos. Kind of a one-stop for a single base cocktail. Really helpful for trying new things (and being reminded of the classics).
Great video! I'm definitely going to try the Gold rush and the whisky smash. Also, I like using the orange bitters for the old fashions - it adds a little orange kick. Thanks!
One of my favourites is the bourbon blush, blueberries, simple syrup, lemon juice and bourbon, muddle the blueberries, wet shake pour over iced, pretty and delicious
Delicious whiskey. The brownest of the brown liqours
If you want to drink whiskey and not regret it later, drink your whiskey shots straight and chase it with a full glass (12 oz) of cool spring water.
dang you really messed up the whiskey sour! Nice!
How so..?
@@StevetheBartender_ I was like 4 or 6 whiskey sours deep when I wrote that comment, and honestly do not even know why I wrote it lol 😅. Your recipe looks great! Keep up the good work!
Buffalo Trace is the cheapest bourbon that can be consumed neat with pleasure. Even cheaper than WT101 which is a legend on its own. It's just too good to disguise its flavor with anything extra. I'd use some cheaper low shelf life obvious mixers like Jim, Evan Williams, coz unless you're a professional sommelier it doesn't matter.
I'm obviously not a cocktail guy))
Another great videom loved that you only used one bottle
Thanks Tracey! 🎉
I fly through bottles of buffalo trace. When on sale I try getting my hands-on bulliet bourbon also. Great cocktail video
Looks delicious
This is the type of video we all needed!! Going to use some of the recipes for my next get together 😃
White oak
Yes, I accidentally mentioned American oak... I have left a correction in the pinned comment.
