I saw Carrie as Fantine. My mum, who's a long-time superfan of Les Miserables, didn't think that anyone could sing 'I dreamed a dream' better than the original. Carrie Hope Fletcher, I kid you not, your spectacular performance made my mum cry from happiness. And I didn't see you as Veronica, so seeing you live with such an iconic song was what I was most excited about the whole day :-) Thank you for being so awesome! And good luck for your next show!

I used to work at a coffee shop and we would clean the milk steamers when they stopped working as well by steaming a cup of water with it, that might help yours. Also, great video!

I got weirdly retrospective watching this video. I found your channel just before you were about to leave Les Miserables for the first time. I was in high school then and now I'm about to start my senior year of college! We've both grown so much! I love your videos! Thank you for making them for all these years, Carrie. Thanks for being my honorary big sister!
Dressing rooms with a fridge are WINNING
I was lucky enough to come and see the show last night. It was weird seeing Carrie not playing Eponine, but she made a fantastic Fantine too! The show was amazing, and I think the music from the concert is actually better than the full production. I guess as they have to concentrate less on staging they can focus more on the music.
Also Carrie was so lovely at stage door, such a privilege to meet you yesterday ❤️
Can you explain how it's different to the normal musical version? I still don't really get it 🤔
Tessi M there is less physical set and the staging is different to the full production. They’re all still in costume but most of the time they just sing in to microphones at the front of the stage although there are a few exceptions. There isn’t as much moving around either and the cast sit on the stage on tiered seated for most of the performance.
Also the band is seating up above the stage in view of the audience which is interesting to watch too.
Are you going to do a video of you singing your Fantine songs! I’d love to hear it

I watched the show on Saturday evening! It was honestly the most incredible thing I've ever seen on stage. Everyone was amazing, and the atmosphere in the audience (even at the far back!) was awesome. Thank you so much!

I love seeing you back in Les Mis! It's been so fun seeing all the different shows you've done since leaving in 2016 but there's something about seeing you in Les Mis that feels so nostalgic and... comforting? I started watching your channel in 2014 so maybe it feels like not *that* much time has passed after all, even though it can feel like an eternity!
Carrie is my absolute favourite Fantine. I just watched it with my mum and we both cried. Such a raw emotional power to her voice. Wish I’d seen it sooner. ❤

We saw the evening performance on this day! You were absolutely amazing, it’s obviously a very emotional role anyway but you brought such a tenderness and we really felt every emotion that Fantine was experiencing.
Of course the rest of the cast are phenomenal as well, I will literally never forget the experience, what a dream to have seen it!
I love these videos. I love how sweet and outgoing you are with your cast mates. You just seem like great company tbh, and I love how much you goof off with the rest of the actors - it's fun to see how informal it is right on the other side of the curtain and how much fun you all have. It's like getting a glimpse into another world lol.

ahhhh listening to the wedding reminded me of being in les mis in high school! i was joly so i also had a little travel to the wings during the wedding so i could come out and sing the end as a lil barricade ghost. so many memories and such a great show to be a part of. wish i could see you as fantine but my life will forever be blessed having seen you as eponine ☺️
