Over 900 shows as Eponine!? Holy shit, my brain just exploded. I can't even hear the same song more than ten times most days. Mind has been blown. Go Carrie!
I would love to hear Carrie do a video all about her recommendations of underrated musicals or soundtracks and also perhaps musicals she is not too fond of.
@Jaime Leigh really happy you like this recommendation 😊
The idea of jamie being perplexed by the emerald green bra in dead girl walking is so damn funny to me for no reason
Only Carrie, when talking about feeling like a star would talk about having tea and coffee 😂
haha :-D
I met you at stage door yesterday at Les Miserables, and you were so lovely towards me, you took time to talk to me and it meant the absolute world, you were so down to earth and kind and it made my night, it was also an amazing performance from you and all the rest of the cast, so I just wanted to say thank you❤️ (you probably won’t remember me, but I was the blonde in the leather jacket and dress right at stage door)💛💛
Carrie hope fletcher In the theatre early ? Sounds fake but ok
Carrie: "got into the theatre early, gonna record a video"
*records video*
Carrie: "ok so I still have an hour"
And here's me thinking that 30 minutes early is too early
Carrie is almost always super early according to her video's over the years. Which is something I personally still have to learn as someone who is almost always either nearly too late or too late...
Flower Ghost I remember her saying she always ends up being extra early everywhere, (15 minutes early is on time) and that's something I aspire to, but like you have not yet mastered!
In this case her room is super convenient as it is in the centre of London, so showing up early does not mean she has to sit and wait, she can make food, tea and work. I doubt she’s show up this early for a dentist appointment! But she seems like someone who shows up early anyway.
you’re not a theatre kid, are you?
@@ginat.8064 I don't think Tom&Gi's house is in central London and that's where she's staying currently. And the house she bought is close to theirs.
“Roll I wish more people saw? Cinderella.”
Did you know at this point that you were gonna be playing her when the show opens? Just curious. Or is it crazy to think that you said that and now it’s come true because more people will get to see it?
I've known most of the roles you've played but DAMN you have an acting range and I also STRONGLY believe in plus sized actors playing roles that aren't written to be such because there needs to be more representation
Johnny Shirer why does everyone focus on females body size? She was right for the role because she’s talented and an amazing singer. Body shape should NEVER be a reason not to cast someone be unless the character is specifically like anorexic (for example) or something specific that is featured in the story.
Pisses me off no end that how but a person is how women can be measured. I’ve turned down for roles because of my body size and that was amdram.
Ailsa Paton i don’t think that that’s what he was saying. as a girl who is plus sized, and has been turned down for roles due to my size. it is refreshing and such a confidence booster seeing someone with a similar body shape to me being on stage. he was not diminishing her talent just to talk ab her size, just saying it was nice to see west end/broadway become more welcoming to those of all body types.
I just got so emotional with Carrie saying she wished people saw Cinderella more and she’s playing her now in the west end 🥺
Watching this in 2021 when Cinderella opens next month! Well done Carrie for actually getting the role
I see a Carrie Hope Fletcher video and I immediately tap on it.
Edit: Wow so many likes and I didn't think I would get any replies to my comment. 😀
SAAAAAAAME!!!!!
me too
Ofc
True
The Claytonator I literally do
My phone just went "ping", and I immediately jumped out of bead, ditched my book and skedaddled to my phone, and here I am now watching this video, nothing makes me happier!
It was so great to hear you talk about so many of the workshops you’ve done! I think people forget that there’s other theatre jobs than just starring in the West End, and maybe think other jobs aren’t as ‘worthwhile’, especially as workshops are usually very private affairs and you can’t really say much about them. So it’s so lovely to hear about the amazing times you had with them!
I kept trying to guess what role you’d pick, and I realised you’d been so many more characters than I thought! Really loved this video :)
Absolutely!!
Would love to see you as Anna and Celinde as Elsa in Frozen when it comes to London
I bet she has already auditioned 😂
YES! Also Oliver as Hans and Rob as Kristoff! :D
Charlotte Löhr holy hell yes
@@Charlyy320 and Scott paige as olaf!
Well Oliver is now Hans!!!
“I wish more people saw me in ‘Cinderella’”
Awww!!!
Would love a ‘Barbara 2.0’ cover with Oliver 💕
Lisa Hagart yesss beetlejuice!!!
AAAAHHHH watching this after the announcement that you're playing Cinderella in the West End! Now I'm like "she knew back then, didn't she?"
my stomach did a flip when u rushed through the "and still I dream he'll come to me, that we will live the years together..." because I desperately want to hear you sing that song. How I wish I could see you play Fantine since I never managed to see you as Eponine. Les Mis is one of my favourite musicals and it would be a dream to watch you play her.
But alas, I have no money 😂😂
That song is on her album! You can listen to it there. It was before her role, but she mentioned in a video that she auditioned with that song and sang it how it sounds on her album.😁
Nooo I didn't! I auditioned with the song as it is in the show!
I think they're professionally filming it 💞
Ah, I feel your pain! I live in a different continent, it's sad that I probably will never get to see her in my lifetime.
@@amiablehacker I do have her album and love that version! But there's something different about hearing her sing live, you know ❤️ I consider myself lucky from just seeing her play Veronica and Beth!
As much as I prefer the off broadway version of heathers to west end, Carrie did a kickass job on Veronica (esp with I Say No)
I love west end. I hate off Broadway no offense
The west end was sanitised
Carrie, hearing you say that you started Les Mis at 20 is bonkers to me because I just turned 20 last week, and hearing you talk about how formative those years were and how much those years/that role changed you made me feel very optimistic because I'm facing those years now! And obviously, I won't be performing on the West End or anything, but I nonetheless feel like the next four years are going to present an experience like that for me, and I can't wait! Thanks for sharing and for making me excited for my young adulthood and the opportunities it will present me, even though you didn't realize you were doing it lol.
Same here! Turned 20 in March, and coming back to this video and hearing that just lifts my spirits, especially right now
I saw you in The Addams Family, Heathers, and the Les Mis concert and you were INCREDIBLE in all of them. Am seeing Les Mis at the Sondheim in January and I think you’re performing then as well!
The role you wish more people saw: ... Cinderella. Well then, now they can :) congrats Carrie
Phaha when she was talking about the Cinderella workshop I was like just wait
I would die to see paradise lost, I ADORE Eric Whitacre
It’s so great hearing you talk about Cinderella knowing that loads of people are going to get a chance to see it now!
A choir at my high school performed Sleep while I was there and it was just… mind blowing.
If you say the name Eric Whitacre in a choir room it’s like invoking the name of god we all just lose our minds
SammietheAverageGirl hahahahah this is so true. Brought me back to my choral days when we sang Eric and he was (IS) GOD!
I've been lucky enough to meet Carrie three times now (twice at Heathers and once at Les mis concert stage door) and she even let me feature in one of her vlogs. Both times she has given me so much attention and respect and has been the loveliest lady ever, it breaks me to see how much hate and unneeded negativity she receives on the daily but I hope to just by simply commenting add some positivity to her day. Thank you for all the happiness you bring to my life Carrie❤️
Coming back now to this in 2022 and seeing that Carrie wished more people saw Cinderella, and now it's doing 8 shows a week is crazy
Oh my life those close harmonies. Yes please!! Really fun to hear of the workshop bits - that Cinderella thing sounded MENTAL!!
You've been an INCREDIBLE Eponine/Beth/Wednesday/Veronica/Truly and you are a REMARKABLE Fantine. If anyone says you are wrong for those roles, they're crazy.
"Cinderella" YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I was just watching jessica kellgren-fozard and when Carrie started with, "Hello, lovely people" I was so confused for a second. I thought I clicked on the wrong video 😆
Honestly same 😂
Omg me too! I love Jessica!
I would like to say that when I saw you in Heathers in London, I met people who had come specifically to see you from another country. Now, for the life of me I can't remember where, but this girl was with her mother and she was so excited just to see you. You were pretty much the entire reason she came.
I'd also like to add that to me, you were the perfect Veronica!
I've just finished playing Wednesday and I love her as a character sooooooo much and I miss playing her
Russianwhite 37 ugh I wanna play Wednesday so badly
I had no idea you played Graham from But I'm a Cheerleader, I wish I could have seen that! Sounds awesome!!
"I just had a blast" Carrie that might have been the most English thing you've ever said and I love it 😂 it's amazing to see what roles you have played and there's so many that I'm not even sure you've told the internet about so it was cool to learn some of those. Also hearing the "angels" singing was almost a religious experience, like, WOW ❤️
Me here watching again in December 2020 knowing she bagged the roll of Cinderella to perform in spring!!
I’ve watched you in Les miserables, the Addams family and chitty chitty Bang Bang you were incredible in all these musicals you’re my biggest inspiration Carrie I’m so proud of you 💜

Sound like more people will see you as Cinderella now!!! Hope you have a great day!!!!
I’m so happy you made this
Your wish came true! I cannot wait to see you shine as Bad Cinderella!
Ive just seen the new video about Cinderella and it looks like you got your wish that more people could see it. So proud and happy for you.
"I'd love more people to see Cinderella" well... 😂
So proud 💞
I loved this video, Carrie! It's so interesting hearing you talk about all of your roles and it made me realise how many amazing parts you have played. I always look forward to your videos xx
Such a fun video! I've seen you perform a fair chunk of these roles and I love hearing the behind the scenes stories! ❤️
"Role I wish more people saw?" Cinderella" Little did she know... ♥️🤩
I actually did know at this point that I'd be playing Cinderella in the production so I was being VERY cheeky here...! 😅
@@Carrie OH MY GOD I didn't expect you to reply!! 🤩🤭 That's so cool!

I’m coming to see Les Mis next week I’m so excited.
I managed to see you in The Addams Family when it was in Bristol so this will be the second show I’ve seen you in✨
Thank you thank you thank you!!!! x You are fantastic x
Hearing you talk about past roles has made me realise how long I've been watching your videos (and how long ago some of those roles were! Feels like Brenda was only last year!)
Its lovely to see you reflect on a lot of the roles you've done. I've seen a quite a few of your shows, including the christmas Carol concert, and having you talk about them has brought back so many great memories x
god I love you carrie you never fail to bring happiness to anyone who stumbles upon your video. you just have a wonderful way with words to spark joy into anyone :) 💞I’m taking a break from doing drama coursework to watch this!
I met you at Stagedoor on Saturday evening and honestly that is a memory I'll tressure forever. And since I was flying back to germany the next day it was the perfect end to my london trip. ❤
This is a fantastic video. Thank you for doing this!
any video about your musical theater job makes me so happy. honestly wish I had your job, despite it being so hard it looks like SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
Well done Carrie- your one on one with your viewers ( me included) is such a delight! Thank you! xo
I just love these videos so much 💜💗💜 Carrie is like a big sister to her entire audience and I love that she’s kept that going for all these years. A true role model to me and my friends x
What a fab video! I really like watching theses sorts of videos where you take us on a whistle stop tour of your time in the theatre. And what a brilliant audience to perform Cinderella in front of; literally a room full of all my creative heroes! :)
OMG! I was one of the people that suggested doing a Role Call! I'm so so so happy you did this!!!!!
We’ve been waiting for this!!! You’ve done so much and come so far! So proud of you! My favourite roles you’ve been are Veronica, Wednesday, Eponine and Fantine! You are incredible!
U did heathers proud carrie. Thats the only show iv ever seen that made me cry and laugh all in one. And part of it was because of you. It broke my heart and made me scream with happiness. Xxxxx
This was SUCH a fun video! Loved the whole thing!
This was delightful. You are delightful. Always love seeing deeper insights into your work :)
Aw this was so fun, loved this Carrie!
Absolutely loved this video! Also I seen you in Les mis last week and you were absolutely phenomenal!
I live in the US and have no funds/resources to visit the UK, but I remember being crushed that you had so many divided opinions on your role as Veronica. The bits I saw on your vlogs are amazing. I loved that you didn't let that negativity bog you down.
Absolutely loved this video!
Carrie, I just wanted to say that I LOVED this video so much that I felt like I had to say it regardless of whether you see this or not
In love with this video. I’ve watched you for 5 years, honestly loved seeing you move from job to job. I saw you in Heathers and you killed it!!!!🔥😊
I love this concept!
Oh my god, I saw Only the Brave when it was on at the Edinburgh Fringe years ago?? I didn't realise it had been workshopped more recently? I loved it and I completely forgot it existed thank you for reminding me that I need to find the CD again
Omg love this video, can’t believe you performed with Ruthie Henshall xxx 😍😍
I thought I knew a lot about Broadway/West End until you started talking about workshops. I had no idea what you were talking about haha. So thanks for teaching me something new! Also, I know that you had some people not being the most supportive when you were playing Veronica, but she is by far my favorite character you've played. I've only seen you as Truly, but when you were playing Veronica, I first heard about both Heathers the movie and the musical and now both of them are one of my favorites. When your cast recording was released, I downloaded the whole thing and I listen to it all the time. I especially love I Say No, which I know was a new song for the West End show that I think Broadway should incorporate. So I guess I'm sure you have had other people tell you how much they loved you in that role, but I just thought you were perfect for it and I'm glad you were in it or I would never have been exposed to Heathers.
I did so many Eric Whitacre choral arrangements in high school, he did such a good job!! Love his music.
This is a great video Carrie
I'm glad you did play Veronica, I would have never heard of or seen heathers without you! I was lucky enough to see a show in the second run! Amazing!
That was such a fun video Carrie!!!
I absolutely adored you as Veronica!!!! I saw you on November 1st 2018 and you were incredible. You slayed that role
what a fab vlog. thank u Carrie. loved loved loved learning all about u xxx
