Yep! Artists I follow post their work, teachers I know share compliments or cards they've received from pupils, my brothers who are in the merchant navy share updates on things from training they've passed to beautiful photos of the destinations they're working in! And yes, I do feel envy when I see those updates but also I feel happy for those people, and I can't imagine how negative the world would be if you could only talk about mundane things and never be proud!

I know this is an old comment but I agree whoever wrote that tweet is completely wrong my dad has PHOTO ALBUMS from years ago with all of the DIY he’s done that he’s proud of, of course things have moved on now and he either keeps them in his phone, sends them to my mum or puts them on insta. Why shouldn’t he share things he’s done and is proud of. Some people are so miserable and bitter 🙄

When I was 8 I got a part in a film just randomly after a casting director came to my small town school. It was so exciting for 8yo me. Yet when I came back to school I got bullied, spat on called a show off. This made me not pursue an acting career just to fit in. Growing up it made me not want to do anything theatrical or creative :( I'm now 38 and a mum of a 5yo who I would hate to ever not be proud of something he's done. Thank you for saying about being proud of success. Meant a lot xx

I’m so happy you talked about celebrating one’s successes!! This makes me happy because I just got into the university degree I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but only after being able to do a Bachelor of Arts degree for a year. And at first and I originally felt like I couldn’t be proud of myself straight like all my family and friends until I’ve actually done the work for it. So you talking about this made me think, “I should be proud of myself and celebrate because I have done the work and have been wanting this for a while and I’ve done it!!”

I’m a nurse in A&E. Sometimes I love my job, sometimes I really struggle with how busy it is and how tired I am! I don’t think there’s any harm in moaning about your job or celebrating it as well as all other life accomplishments. It’s normal! I admire you as an actress ❤️ literally my favourite West End star!

frigging love when coats have pockets big enough for your books!
the first time i came to london i bought a coat that had pockets that could sneakily hide the copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban i bought at waterstones so i could read on the tube!

😌 This is exactly the kind of video I missed soooo much. Carrie spreading positivity and theatre stuff. And talking about things that matters to her. I love the conversations she starts. 😍

Thank you for talking about how we should be proud and feel free about sharing our self achievements.
To be honest, French education tends to reward the "worst" students in the class when they accomplish a tiny achievement (which is great) but conversely they totally minimize the work and prowess of the good and hard working students, which obviously leads the good students to become lazy and not as good as they should be. This society is going mad. But what people forget too often is that positivity generates positivity. I absolutely get that you can be upset when someone tells you they've achieved something you've always dreamed of achieving. But instead of being jealous, depressed and mad about it, you should feel proud of your friend and be happy for them. They should be a source of inspiration to you instead of a source of stress and negative wave.
Spreading happiness is important, even if you're a bit upset deep down. We should all support each other more and spread love and positivity. Thank you Carrie for this video and for opening our eyes on real society matters. We love you.

You inspire me. My love for theatre is still there, so after watching my friend at Arts Educational School, their production of Freaky Friday, I applied to work as a volunteer reviewer for various theatre shows around London, and so I wrote a test review about my mate's play and I got the review job. :). Building up my portfolio, to maybe getting paid review work.:) Sky's the limit and as Del Boy said in OFAH"the one who dares wins". You inspire me to never give up on one's dreams

When you were talking about congratulating yourself it really hit me somewhere I didn’t know existed. I achieve through sport and that’s my thing but I never like to speak and tell people about my achievements incase they judge me. There’s people better than me at sport but I’ve now realised so what! There’s always going to be people better if not you wouldn’t have people you look up to and aspire to be like and from now on I will tell everyone about my achievements. I will post it online for the people better than me to see because at one point they were in my position and soon I’ll be in there’s ❤️❤️❤️
Also Carrie I got one of your signed Eponine postcards and it’s on my wall so I can look and admire it all the time ❤️🤩

I'm the same way, I am a dancer. Quite good at it really, but I tell myself that I'm not good.. or as advanced as others. Granted I'm in the upper levels. So I agree with you 100% and I'm proud of all the hard work you put into being the best version of you!

Don’t care what people think to a certain extent, just be proud of how much you’ve accomplished. It’s not bragging it’s just facts. In fact you inspire me and so many other people everyday to go for their dreams.

I have loved watching your amazing adventures and incredible things you’ve done/do. Seeing you run is epic inspirational. Seeing you write books while working in a show makes me think that maybe I could do that too. Please don’t ever feel like you can’t celebrate your wins cause of the haters. If they were happy with their own lives then they wouldn’t be online looking at yours.

despite being subscribed to you since almost the beginning i almost never comment on things but i was just struck so strongly by the idea that your lovely inspirational speech about celebrating your accomplishments felt like it was formed from one of those like, shower argument moments. like you're just in the shower angrily shampooing your hair and being like NO BE PROUD OF THE THINGS YOU'RE GOOD AT!! (anyway you're right and you're amazing)

After seeing the news of Cinderella this morning I feel like I have been celebrating for you all day! CZcams is such a strange beast, I don’t know you by any means, but that doesn’t mean I’m not cheering you on from my corner of the world haha. After following you for the last 7 years I have such a keen outsiders perspective of the sheer facts concerning just how much you have achieved in such a short time. Keep killing it❤️ you are such bright and shining inspiration!

I think Carrie has hit the nail on the head, I got a new job as a support worker for women with mental health needs back in December and i have never done a job like this and i was nervous about starting and not being good enough but i have found out that i just need to be there and listen if the women are having hard time and help them live more independently and i found out that, that is what I'm good at and i haven't said anything to friend and family because i didn't think they would care or be interested in but I'm proud of myself for taking that step outside my comfort zone and helping other people who need someone to listen to
