If you know anything about Glaswegians, and I do, you know terrorists are fish out of water in that city. These folks do not care about your hate lol. They have enough to worry about day to day. It's known as a "stabby" city. They fear nothing.

As a Scot, thank you so much for listening and understanding and not immediately mocking the accent! The attack was in 2007, you used to be able to drive up to the entrance of Glasgow airport. Two men with many tanks of petrol and propane, in a jeep already set on fire, attempted to drive straight into the terminal through the main doors; hoping for a massive explosion. They threw petrol bombs and set themselves on fire. It didn't go to plan, they struck a pillar and taxi drivers and airport staff standing outside attacked the men. That is also why Kevin Bridges' Dad says "we have been there", as it's where everyone used to drop off their family (etc.) to the airport (and no longer allowed). Many are still proud that Glasgow somehow came before, even the Paris attack 😂

And no one ever challenged us. When I saw the reports of the Glasgow attack... honestly I thought "Why bother with the doors?" You can stroll straight into most large buildings if you look like you're pissed off enough... BUT - and I mean this from the heart. What an excellent response from the staff and passers by - kicking the shite out of someone who tried to bomb you? THAT is Glasgow!!!! And I'm from London.... max respect to anyone involved.

Aw oor Billy's a national treasure. Grew up listening to his LPs as a wean in the 70s. It's the observational humour that's so funny. Very relatable. As weans we all sang the Welly Boot Song and in turn I taught the kids in nurseries I worked in and my own 2.
Wildebeest, crucifixion, potatoes of the night...too many to list.
One of the earliest examples of a Go Fund Me type thing was "Buy John Smeaton a pint" and he got so many donations the full pub got pished for free. 😆

I cried laughing at this., not only because it was Billy, but it epitomised the whole scottish culture where you just dinnae do that! Im glad you enjoy his comedy, I always laugh when my late gran (who had dementia) when told I had seen Billy at the Caird Hall Dundee enquired how many new swear words I had learned. 😂

It always cracks me up when they have to subtitle us Scots. Seen it done with the Irish too. Such a pity there doesn't seem to be a better quality clip of this around. Luckily you can understand most of it though. Frankie Boyle is another you've watched. Jack, Victor, Winston, Boabby, Isa, Tam, Navid. They're the main characters in Still Game 😎

Billy connelly is a national treasure. He can tell a joke hes takes you on a journey. He swears but its doesn't sound vulgar or offensive he talks about very Scottish situations and still makes it funny for all people. My mum doesn't laugh at many comedians he has her crying laughing. We will never have anothrr man like the big yin.

    Terrorist in Glasgow 😂😂😂
Good luck the Scottish would laugh in your face while knocking seven bells of crap out of you while downing a bottle of whiskey, and that's just the women.
    Typical night out in Glasgow.
Ps: I bloody love the Scottish.

At 5:26 the interviewer, from some leafy suburb of Hampstead or somewhere, asks John Smeaton (in a posh English accent)
“When the fracas ensued was the Cherokee ablaze?”
    “What?”
“Was the Jeep on fire at the start of the fight?
He says “Oh Aye, the flames were skooshing right out the back!”
Long live the wonderful Billy Connolly!
He’s made me laugh for the last 52 years!
