- 4 and a half Appearances out of five of Billy Connolly on the late late show with Craig Ferguson in chronological order. (in the beginning in the video, it reads 5/5 appearances, which is not entirely correct, it's 4.5/5)
The title should tell you how I feel about these two. Enjoy! - Komedie
Craig's "Scottish" really comes to full bloom when Billy's around...that's a beautiful thing. 😎👍
KNOWS RAPUNSELL --CRYING ''''HEEEEEELLLLLPPPP''''
Its a pure gallas thing haha
I noticed that!❤🎉
And with Shirley Manson too.
The reason he's attacked by the 'Scottish' press is, all our media is owned by people in another country. Scots love him, as evidenced by selling out every gig he played here.
Billy. Is the greatest , a legend, All of Scotland love him.
The local council should have a sculpture of Billy next to one of the newspaper offices that slagged him off, that's motion activated to shout out, FUUUUUUUUU**!!! Or other such random Connellyisms as people walk by. 👍👍👍😉
He is our national treasure and the funniest person to ever live.
I'm English and love Billy, I bought his LPs back in the 70s and still play them now, scratches and all.
And the 120' yacht and the three houses including a house on Malta!
Got to see him live a few years ago. He had just beat cancer only to be diagnosed with Parkinson's, and still had the crowd rolling for 2 hours
Did not know, but BILLY CONNOLLY IS THE BEST OF HUMANITY....LONG LIVE & BE REMEMBERED & REVERED!!! RX: DEPRESSION = BILLY CONNELLY. side effects = ADDICTION TO B/C. LOVE YOU BILLY!!!!
Same here, saw him in NZ, my stomach and face hurt from laughing. I feel lucky as hell I got to see him before the parkinsons hit him too hard. What a legend.
@@Thegbearso glad for you! I’m really sorry to learn of that about him.
I'm so astonished & saddened to learn about the health problems Billy Connelly has suffered 😔 He & Craig Ferguson are the Robin Williams of Scotland! God Bless them both ❤️
I hadn't heard he was sick which is very sad. I saw him live while I was recovering from a bad traffic accident. He starts off slow, but by the end he brings all the threads together, and my jaws literally hurt from laughing so hard, as did the rest of the audience. I almost wanted it to end I was in so much pain, but it felt good to laugh like that after so many months of recovery. Best wishes Billy!
When I watch this good Craig Ferguson it's pretty much impossible to go to another talk show. Fuck I miss that man. Amazing chemistry between the two.
When you compare this to the Conan one. You see how real Craig is and how phoney Conan is.
Craig Ferguson is the ONLY talk show I would watch for himself...didn't matter who he had on. Brilliant, genuine, funny, smart. Every other show I had to see who was on and IF it was worth it. Sometimes you like the guest but you know the host is just gonna be horrible so I don't bother, but not with Craig.
43:16 Billy Connolly playing the mouth organ and the audiences gasp then they join in on the beat is the best thing ever!!
👏👏👏👏👏
“From heaven comes this voice saying FUCK THIS “ 😂🤣
Not often Craig has to sit back and take second fiddle, but Billy is a legend.
You mean second banjo
Don't think he minds . They are just happy to catch up with each other.
no, he means second fiddle, if you are scottish. second banjo if from the states I guess. Amazing interview.
BILLY IS BIGGER THAN LIFE! He is a hurricane & tornado all at once!!! But he & Craig together is a tsunami.
There is something truly joyous when Billy Connolly throws his head back and laughs.
KomodoDragon ohh 😲 pantomime season has begun
Robin Williams had the same experience, being a guest with Craig Ferguson. Along with quite a few other guests.
Aye. State funeral for him. Big piss up at Celtic Park
Billy has a fantastic voice. It's basically like if David Attenborough were from Glasgow.
Spot on.
Excellent
Gaelic Scots > Northumbrians
Billy did not go to public school, nor have his brother as Head of Programming at BBC2. Unlike DA.
Moses Ramirez what a statement for a name kinda a cross between if your religious which I"m not parting the waves or parting your cheeks and Ramirez a dancer of a name if your a film buff like me and not from Scotland technically which I'm not but I wish I was there's the rub. Anyway nothing against David Attenborough cos he's a smart man know's his stuff does old Davie boy. But to say that the Big Yin born in Glasgow no less is on a par with Sir DA is like asking why Sir Sean Connery says we are up against our old advershary, advershary, I think you mean adversary dear boy no, it's because he's James Bond he can say what the heck he likes yash
If Craig can make Billy laugh hysterically the man has talent.
But only then
I'm going to cry my heart out when this absolute legend leaves us all behind.
MojoRisin... Me to 😭. When Billy goes a light will have gone out on planet earth. 😩
Same :( I watched "It's been a pleasure" yesterday and it had me in tears.
I just can't think of that happening. I hope I go first!!!
They are both so quick!
Oh, he's on the list of people I will absolutely LOSE IT if (IF) they leave the planet.
Craig gets more Scottish with Billy. Absolutely amazing
Billy Connolly and Craig Ferguson together is almost too much! I haven't laughed this much in a long time! Thank you.
It's like watching 2 friends in a pub.
They managed too spin off one and other that takes timing and of course talent a good watch !!
...and the funniest 2 friends you've got.
That’s how it is back home
That would be an interesting show.
Interviewer takes a guest and gets drunk in a pub or bar.
Or maybe a show like COPS or Live PD, but instead of crime, just live activities inside rowdy bars.
Billy Connolly will always have a place in my English heart. Love him.
I can’t stop laughing, Billy alone is hilarious, but these two together is just too much! 🤣🤣🤣
There is nothing funnier when I meet with my only Scottish friend in Australia we have a wonderful time laughing. One of the bests laugh was watching a Scottish show that translated and they translated into Scottish.🤣🤣🤣🤣
The more I watch these two I begin too understand what spin off comedy is ,these two have nailed it I'm biased I'm Scottish and proud of them both ,thank you Craig ,Thank you Billy
Spin-off
Thanks for the tip
Spin aff comedy, wit ye oan aboot?
As an old Glaswegian these two had me in fits. I felt as if I was at home.
I felt like I was listening to an earthier version ( he was always quite clean with his speech cos we was kids and he never told me the gaelic cos he said he only knew the rude words and wouldn’t tell me the ones he knew.. I did ask. Lol. I was young love me poppy.
Me too.
@@Mac-sb5lj I read all these comments in a Scottish accent.
Craig acts more Glaswegian when he's talking to Billy.
Contagious Laughter!
I met Billy after a show, I was 12 y.o.
apparently, he was my uncle's apprentice in one of the shipyards in Glasgow.
Legend has it, my uncle was quite a witty man (it is sort of a Glaswegian trait) and Billy would often write down 'zingers' that my uncle would crack.
The only man alive who could confirm or deny this is now Billy.
These two are really good together.
I love how craigs accent always comes back when he talks to someone from Scotland!
you mean from Glasgow....?as both are from Glasgow....u can't single out one accent as Scottish or is that your American ears hearing such singular accents...u need to get of and try the world and not be so stuck.... plz don't take this wrong....i feel most folk from the usa have no understanding of the world outside of the US
It was good that the producers didn't prevent that....in favour of the audience!
Most Americans, after all, cannot understand other English speakers, whatever their accent....&, dare I say, some Americans think they invented English!
Seggins Productions it’s like when the brothers get together.
It's just like how someone from Scotland may note that we sound American - which part? A Glasgow accent IS a Scottish accent since it's from Glasgow, which is in Scotland.
Seggins Productions John Barrowman's the same
Billy was the recipient of the first golden harmonica!!!!
Everytime I watch these two Scots ....just makes me cry like a baby and laugh my ass off. My Grampa was Scottish and sounds so much like Billy n Craig....with such dry humor and the most beautiful red hair. Obnoxious with an angelic smile. Gets you every time. Thank you for the memories you two hilarious men have given me!! Ayyyeeee 🤣
My poppy had dark brown hair but definitely all of it to the end. I think I’d like your grampa too. ❤️
Jennifer Schmitzer Bet you would too Jennifer as I would yours! He would waggle his bushy red eyebrows at my Gramma and I swear she went as red as his hair...and i would tease them about sitting on the front porch swing and smooching cause they acted like teenagers in love to the last day they could. Awww. Peeling onions again. Such wonderful memories. ❤️
70’sStreetRacer Gal aww that’s gorgeous
i remember bumping into billy when i was in my teens and even back then he was polite would sit there and talk to you if he had free time man is a legend
Few people tell stories as good as Billy Connolly does
You have to love how Billy can switch from one train of thought to another in a split second, and 99.9% of the times it's completely off the cuff. He is like Robin Williams in a lot of ways. Quick wit, jumping between thoughts in mid sentence, etc. Sadly, we lost Robin, thankfully we still have "The Big Yin."
My parents introduced me to Billy Connolly as a youngster, Big Banana Feet 🤣, managed to see him once 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍. Shame he’s had to give it all up now due to his Parkinson’s 😥
I admire him for the same but more so coz he always finds his way back to his original point too... the man is a genius 😂
Billy and Robin were friends.
Before he committed suicide he rang Billy to make sure he know he loved him. (He tells this account when he was a guest on the Adam Buxton Podcast.)
@James Cartwright aye cause your opinion in a debate on what defines comedy is valid.
Yours a Scot.
Both of these guys are heavily influenced by cannabis. Not a damn thing wrong with that, merely a plausible explanation.
These guys are fantastic individually but to see them together is historic.
Not many people could keep up with Billy, But Craig gets real close..
When "The Late,Late Show" was worth watching!Craig Ferguson was the best & funniest host ever!!!
To this day, Craig Ferguson and this show (despite being on CZcams) is a superior late night talk program to anything and anyone currently hosting. No politics. No racism. No pandering. Entertainment for you the viewer to simply enjoy. Now back to your regularly scheduled daily dose of everyone else.
Billy Connolly, Robin Williams. These two and Craig are just legendary in making me holler so loudly in my house I literally got a slippef to the face for laughing so loudly. 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely love how Craig’s accent gets deeper as he talks to Bill
These two & their effortless banter is something to aspire to.
Aye 2 old Scottish Glasgow lads having a wee old fun time
I'm amazed at how much I miss Craig. I just watched him with Billy Conley...hilarious!!!
Billy is literally my most favourite human being to ever exist... Been a hero for me since i was a wee boy
No other human being is as nice as Billy. He is the ultimate guest.
Left Scotland in my mid 30's to move to Ireland and listening to these two talk reminds me of growing up. Someone got a BC DVD every year at Xmas and the whole family would watch and laugh till it hurt even though it wasn't appropriate for kids. Love these guys.😁
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Was a tradition in my family for many years as well. My Gran HATED bad language but would laugh uproariously at Billy every year.
Craig had a couple of TV shows as well, firstly 2000 Not Out and then The Ferguson Theory on the BBC, both were very funny as I recall although I've never seen 2000 Not Out since.
2 of the best comedians ever. To see them together is magical. To know its all ad libed is amazing.
2?
Craig isn't in the same stratosphere as Billy as a comedian. He would admit as much.
V@@craiganderson275 you are abso-lute-ly right, but as a wingman to such an Ace Craig is quite a'richt
I love how Craig's Scottish accent really gets thick while speaking with Billy ( around 16:00 and on ). Just a couple of wee old lads. One of the best. Thanks Jay Leno Fly!
It’s brilliant since he doesn’t have to mask it. Ahaha
I miss this show. Bring Craig back. This vid had me laughing so hard I was crying.
Hello Sherry
How are you doing today?
These two together are just hysterical.
Of all his guests, I enjoy Billy the best. He and Craig are perfect together. Both kind and sweet and mischievous men. What's amazing to me is that they are both successful comedians AND musicians AND actors AND writers. Wow.
James dow ffs. We’re people like anyone else, not mythical better-than-everyone beasts. Ffs
You can just see these two in a pub throwing back ale & getting smashed and telling these tall tales!!!!!
Arguably The best ever comedic story teller - arise Sir Billy
Billy just cannot sit still for longer than a minute, and makes it part of his humour! He is one in a million, and anytime I feel a bit down, I just look for Billy in videos, and I am creased with laughter! Poor soul, he now has Parkinson's disease, but still is a comical guy!
I got to see Billy Connolly live in the 80's, he's always and will always be my favorite comedian ever, such an awesome guy.
When I grow up I want to be Billy Connolly.
Floss Man jimmy Jim Jim Jim Jim Jim jarooo.
The secret is......... Billy never grew up. 😊
@@baskervillebee6097 Great answer. I think Billy specifically advised against growing up.
😄
We really, really need more Billys and Craig’s to point out the absolute stupidity that this world is going through.
When I grow up I want to be a glaswegian
Billy Connolly funniest Scotsman of all time
Change that to "man".
Agreed
Put an "Hu" in front.
1st time I ever peed myself laughing was the first time I ever watched Billy Connelly.
Craig is funnier.
Smiling and laughing, great chemistry with these Scottish friends
I love how Craig can fall in perfectly with each person no fail.
I could listen to these guys for hours.
on You tube you can.😂 & I do‼️
on You tube you can.😂 & I do‼️
I love listening to Craig and Billy. The longer Craig talks to him the thicker his accent gets!
Everyone speaks about how Craig's accent gets thicker, but in actuality it doesn't. his American accent just lessens.🤗
Being Scottish his accent cannot get thicker! by the same time his American accent starts to fade , as he's not American by birth & therefore his adapted American accent starts to fade , when talking with someone from home as it were.
So great when these two get together! I've noticed, Craig's Scottish accent really comes through strong. I so enjoyed this video, thank you😊 they were having such a good time
Aw, man. Billy Connolly's stories just crack me up! One of the funniest stand-up routines I've ever heard was his "Pale Blue Scottish Person" special.
I've watched that so many times, I can quote it extensively, and it still makes me laugh every time.
Its true we are pale blue
Billy's one of the best comedians. It was like George Carlin when I was young, radio pressed to the ear, or PBS with headphones on so your parents wouldn't hear & make you turn it off! Good times...
Great post. He's like the, crazy as a fox, uncle who promises to bring a kid a gift and you realize that he's the gift. You don't want to let him go or give him back, because of the boundless joy he brings to our lives.
Thank you for this outstanding comedy. Tears are streaming down my face.....and I'm Scottish 😂
Nothing better than two quick comedy wits meeting!
I love Billy. Makes me wish I was Scottish.
boromirtheboring He makes me sooo happy I am half Scot! 👍🏻
70’sStreetRacer Gal I’m a halfa too. ♥️
Dinne have the patter tho ahaha
Billy is hands down the greatest stand up, observational comedian of all time. (The keyboards are on fire). He tells true stories that diverge into mutliple other true stories but all link back to the original story. I recommend everyone checks out his material from the early years to the sober yerars LOL! 1 of my many faourites is the story about moving to Beverly Hills and going up the hill to go home and seeing a guy carrying a crucifix. Just thinking about it I'm in tears! His story about learning the banjo in Scotland will have you in stitches. I could go and on. Hi s appearances on tv chat shows were always anarchic much more so than this. The "Not The Nine O'Clock News" sketch where he met his wife Pam is pure comedy gold.
I could listen to Connolly talk all day. Wish I would have been able to see his live show at some point.
The Craig and Billy show
When 2 Countrymen play off each other just natural kinship.. as an aside we must acknowledge Billies Magnificent head of hair.. 😎😎😎
I like how Billy takes control on this video- that's his talent- think Ferguson learnt from Billy, he's the guest and is going to tell his stories how he wants to- that's always been Billy 👍🏿😂
Hello Maria
How are you doing today?
I love Billy's voice and accent. He's absolutely delightful.
4:51 Great line. I also heard, "Never mind the horse is blind, just keep loading the cart." Means absolutely nothing, but it's interesting to throw into a conversations now and then!
I've got quite a bit of family in Scotland. Visited there 3 times and miss it so much. My grandfather was as a Keith and my gran a Cameron. Both served in WWII and just feel like I missed so much of the story concerning my family due to the distance in miles and just the day to day responsibilities over the years.
It’s been a long time since I’ve laughed so much. He will be missed.
Billy..God Bless you man..I’m laughing so hard at your jokes about Scotties that I’m holding my sides. “They miss Scotland while they’re still there”….so funny.
Billy at his rambling best, pure joy!
These 2 guys together is SO over the top!!😂❤
omg the buffet story had me in tears. I think guys could only appreciate that one.
Something makes me think these 2 have done this show many times before under the influence! They are having so much fun that it defines comedy! Twin towers of self amusement! LOL! Thank you for the cramp!
craig; "how do you know when you're finished being a welder?"
connolly; "from heaven comes this noise like, *fuck this."*
It couldn't get any better than these two together!!! 🤣🤣❤️❤️👍
The buffet story alone is insane, but I lose it when they act it out HAHAHAH
I absolutely love this man and wish him the best of wishes for his retirement , thanks for the memories x
These two should do improve/standup together! They are frickin' hilarious together! Just amazingly funny and quick with the wit. Even when you've heard some of their stories a few times it never gets too old really. Maybe its the Scottish in me bones, I find them just lovely.
At 29:39 - Did anyone pay note of what this humorous man, Billy Connolly in 2009, had to say of people and leaders? How applicable his insight is, in view of today's events. There is a lot more to these funny men than just jokes.
truth is often funnier.
just look at the humor of George Carlin & Robin Williams. much of their humor came from observations of the truth.
Thats the most I have seen Craig laugh "By this sign
shall you know it".....
Absolutely glorious stuff, I was erupting in peals of laughter. Craig has always been my favourite late night host. And him, together with his idol, is fantastic. Yes, every late night show usually scripts the interviews, but their's feel totally off-script.
“Could you stop asking her the question! She said Yes!”
I always knew he was funny I just never seen it until recently. When you read about his life man you wonder how he’s still here! Keep going sir
Have always loved these two. And then to put them together… ❤
Billy is the funniest guy in the whole planet 🌎
Billy trumped every single other mouth organ attempt on Craig's show!
I love these two guys together ❤. They genuinely have a great deal of affection and respect for each other. And make each other gut laugh. A wonderful thing to see. I've watched these two together quite a few times. They should do some sort of project together ❤
Hello Rebecca
How are you doing today?
It’s so like watching your dad and uncle talking crap and sharing stories after a few bevvies
If your in hysterics with two glaswegians wait till your in company with 1.6 million glaswegians 😆 😆 😆
Billy Connolly is the GOAT.
Saw Billy in the playhouse in Edinburgh, my ribs ached for a week from laughing.
I live in Glasgow, and this is truly the funniest video I've watched in a very long time. It's true what Billy said... even watching this video made me miss Glasgow - and I'm IN Glasgow! Just sheer brilliance from the both of them.
I started liking Scottish accent thanks to Craig!
THE Scottish accent?
Which one?
When billy mentioned Kenny Everett, that brought back memories, SID SNOTT the VICAR with the big hands, and it was always done IN THE BEST POSSIBLE TASTE lol .
And of course, Cupid Stunt...
And then all my clothes fell off..........Oh , but Michael.... I'm telling you the plot.....
"Sorry about the 'F' in Fog"
Two great ambassadors for our proud wee nation 🙌💙🏴
Craig's accent gets stronger talking to Billy
Billy Connolly: My favorite comedian too!
I've had the pleasure of seeing Billy live on various occasions. I've never hurt so much in my life, literally crying with laughter.
I remember seeing him at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh. He started off talking about dogs, then quickly went off on a whole series of tangents. About 90 minutes into the show he suddenly stops and says 'where were we? Oh yes, dogs'.
Good to know Billy wears “the occasional Python boot!”
And if you know where that quote comes from, then you’ve just earned yourself 100 “cool” points!
Bromadrosis....
i just watched a shit ton of Craigs other videos and as soon as i watched this one i could tell his accent got a lot thicker lol. Bill and Craig are an awesome duo
Shogunbloodx420 What is funny is to hear when Craig talked of when he returns to Scotland and the folks tell him that he has lost his accent, lol.
That's just so he can understand him...
I don't think his accent sounds much different. I have only seen this guy a couple of times. To me he has a soft Scottish accent almost gone from years in a different country.
He tells Fabulous stories, I also like the way they talk.
with tongue & lips⁉️
@@user-ou2um3sj6m With What ever GOD gave THEM, You Egotistical FK!!!
Two of Scotland's finest , thank you.
Both of Craig's books, "American on Purpose" (autobiography) and "Between the Bridge and the River" (fiction) are great reads.
