Included we see them recalling an earlier show when Billy first did his famous bike joke.

I was pregnant with my second mutant when I sat and watched this interview. My other half was at work and my little girl was in bed. I was absolutely crying my eyes out with laughter at this interview and I rang my dad who is a massive Billy fan and he thought something really bad had happened. When I finally got my words out I managed to tell him it was because of Billy. I remember the night so well. Haha

Brilliant writing my lady! You've got a we bit of comedian in yourself. I find his comedy in this interview re: growing old a wonderful way to laugh at our senior years & to find humor in our absurd body as it changes in these later years.
For me the thing about Billy is his genuine enthusiasm for all things funny. He is a genius comedian for sure but his delivery oozes excitement. It's like he is always so excited to hear the joke or funny observation again himself. Such a wonderful man. Always loved him, always will
I have had the pleasure of meeting Billy on two occasions. First at a gig at the Apollo, Hammersmith. He said "God, I bet you get some stick, lookin' like that!" The next time I met this legend I took along my banjo. Not only did Billy play it for the crowd but he actually autographed it for me! He then was gracious enough as to ask how my tribute act was going. He then told me one of the secrets of his stage show........never to be divulged. 🙊

He is a brilliant comedian - audiences love him - from the moment he appears on tv or on stage he has the audience in the palms of his hands - love him

This guy is old old now in 2016/17, but even at this time way back when he started to be really old.. he still had the old magic.. I know it's almost gone now, but he was THE BEST COMEDIAN EVER - God bless Billy :)

Seen Billy 7 times over his long career, and had jaw-ache every single time from laughing. My favourite moment was when I stood and snapped his pic in the Reid Hall in Forfar (1980s) and he totally ripped me a new one. I deserved it too. Just young and foolish, it was about this time Billy was being hassled by the media but he's such a good sport and my favourite ever Scotsman. Long live King Billy!

Billy Connolly is a true legend he made it under his own steam. There is no.need to mention Panela Stephenson he was famous before he met her. She was a bit of a weirdo not always nice to Billy.

Billy will forever be Billy Bones on Muppet Treasure Island for me. It's the first thing I ever saw him in, & his voice is so distinct, it's like a core memory. I hear his voice, & I'm instantly transported back in time to watching MTI as a child. ❤

Billy is so relatable. He spent his whole life observing the absurd we all experience and most importantly either remembering it or recording it. I assume Billy had a remarkable memory and story telling brain. We all know a Billy in our lives.

I went and saw Billy at the Vector Arena in 2014 and he was wonderful. Seeing him perform on stage was awesome. I collect his DVD's. Wonderful Man.

these two were hardened drinking buddies together. and used to go on binges in australia, where they'd be found in pub brawls, and walking gassed along motorways in sydney!

The world is losing the 'joker' people. That person who brought laughter in dark times, cheered everyone up with their light. I woke up this morning feeling the weight of aweful experiences weighing me down and a voice inside said "Where are you?" And suddenly I remembered. I was one of the 'jokers' most of my life. I turned on here, typed in Billy Connelly and I recognised a spark in me that said, don’t let the bastards win. Misery breeds misery. Everday, I'm going to enjoy a dose of Billy.
Thanks Big Yin. You were there when I was 10.. and you're back with me now at 59.

Yeah Parky seemed better than most. I've just got off a rabbit hole of Letterman and J Ross and they were horrible tabloid cretins asking inane disgusting questions that would make most people fall apart on live TV.

The first time I was introduced to Billy Connolly as an actor was in Muppet Treasure Island (1996). At the time I had no idea he was such a great standup comedian, then again I was seven so go figure.

ive met billy Connolly and trust me he is funny on and off the stage. he had me in stitches in glasgow high st . he told me. after i said "billy hows you" he said " well im completely insane now with old age" so thats a good thing pal" lol
