A Toby Chavery roast is always a reliable 7.6 never out of this world but reasonable for the money and the convenience of every day roasts and carrying on serving till closing time. Most pubs stop serving their roasts at about 2pm and only on a Sunday!

Well cooked to order isn't correct, it is sitting there in warming trays waiting for you to come and collect. Cooked to order means ordering and waiting for it to be delivered to your table - well that is what it means to me!
Wasn't impressed with the bacon - very under cooked, hash browns looked bad, and I assume the red sauce in the middle was pureed tomatoes - looked like the Chef bled all over the place.
    My mark 3.3/10

I went to a toby carvery and purchased an all you can eat breakfast which was cooked to order an hour before breakfast time finished.. It took the waiter 25 mins to approach my table and take my order which he unconvincingly muttered " sorry for the delay" then after taking the order which took an extra 20 minuets for the food was delivered to my table. With the time it took for me to eat the meal it was not unlimited as breakfast time was over!

Painter and Decorator rained off today so headed for my local Toby, it's full of tradesmen doing the same which is always a good sign. Food here was absolutely brilliant, quality sauages not catering ones. Horrible hash browns on offer but who wants them when they have proper fried potatoes with onion and bacon bits too? Lovely scrambled egg cooked to order, bacon maybe a little thick for me but nice. For £7 unlimited food and black coffee you would be very harsh to knock it. Have eaten in a few spoons lately and their breakfast is pigswill in comparison, cheap mystery meat bangers and weird tasting bacon there.

I had one close to where I live, the eggs were rubber, the hash browns were so hard I could have used them as brake pads, they also tasted like they had a plastic texture to them. The food was over heated under lamps. But last year I went to one in Barnsley just off the M1 and it was perfect.

Toby Carvery is nice to go to once in a while, but Yorkshire puddings are only realy go with a Sunday dinner not a breakfast at all. If I had a choice between Toby breakfast or a Spoons, I would try and get a decent place to go regular for a breakfast as Toby and Spoons arnt realy decent, only for a hangover but then you can make a better one at home than they can, Great video Lee, take care and keep safe my friend.... 4.99 for the breakfast but with the drink you get to 7.48. So, in the same way that restaurants at dinner use the wine list and bottled water to make money now the breakfast is made profitable by the coffee.

Booked online for 4:20pm ,arrived at 4:15, was told 15 min wait for table, fair enough, went to order a drink at the bar ,15 mins later was told "one of the ovens was faulty and would be another 1/2 hr wait". Anyway to cut a long story short, '2hrs' after arriving we eventually got to eat, AND there were no yorkshire puddings, gutted. Anyways ,we went to pay only to be told the card machines were down ,luckily i had cash but a lot of people didn't, so not a great experience for us either.

If it tasted like it looked I think 4 was generous . It looked like a 2 .
I’ve had some half decent ones at my local Toby but it’s certainly bang average really.

My local Toby is the same. All the stuff stays on the hot plate too long so you end up with an egg that didn’t want to leave it’s pan, shrivelled up sausages that have gone crispy, bacon that is closer to black than pink and hash browns that just break up when you lift them. Thank god for the £4.99 price tag but even then, it’s not my go to for breakfast.
    4/10

No beans? Ugh! A breakfast is too dry without beans. The eggs were the only thing I thought looked OK on that plate.

Just watching one of your old videos’ the reviewing the Toby breakfast.
At the beginning you pass a garage and notice the price 1.40£ and you say are they having a laugh. Think we’d all take that now 😂

@@TheMacMaster must make a packet. Queue is non stop. Always busy, sign of a good cafe. Builders, taxi drivers, workers and tourists a right mixture
