  • I'm on my way to Ireland but as a short pit stop, I thought I'd stop into Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food at London Heathrow Airport before I get on the plane and bring you a review. I wasn't expecting a cover charge for just sitting down!

    Hi Gary, been there, paid our bill and left in a bad mood. It was horrible, I think Gordon Ramsay should run a better quality control at his restaurants. It's very frustrating when between two people you pay over a 100£ and leaves with a bad taste in your mouth. We gave a 1 out of 10. But I am glad you're going to Ireland and hopefully you will really enjoy it. Another fantastic review in the bag, mate! Have a wonderful time in Ireland and enjoy every moment of it, buddy! All the best and can't wait to see your reviews from Ireland!

    There is an old gag about a person who went into a London branch of Gordon Ramsey`s and was shocked by the prices, so he went for the cheapest item on the menu. It was boneless chicken and when it arrived, it was a fried egg.

      A group of us boaters moored in Lime House Dock, had a pint or three in the club house and someone suggested Gordon Ramsey's pub across the road. A van was set outside and the driver was carrying trays of pre-prepared food into the pub. We about turned and went to another pub that was cheaper so even if that pub had pre cooked food we still saved money for a pint or three.

Nobody in their right mind would put a fine dining/high quality restaurant in an airport. They don't even have the facilities to make anything on the premises fresh. It's a business model that yeilds a slightly higher profit than a proper restaurant and everyone who has the money to invest has a right to rip off customers in a captive market. I am growing blackberries in my backyard and right now am picking from 1-2 lbs. per day! I just made a coconut cake with blackberry plum filling (plums also from our backyard), and cream cheese icing with tons of extra crushed and pureed blackberries, sprinkled with fresh blackberries and served it with blackberry cobbler ice cream and more pureed berries. How the restaurant reacts to the complaint is part of the review. I wouldn't pay for the cover charge (I hope you didn't pay for the water). Hi, we went there a long time ago, my husband and son went to the lounge but as we couldn’t I treated my daughter and I. It was supposed to be a 3 course meal served in 45 mins. It wasn’t, they forgot about us. Service was terrible and the curry repeated the entire long haul flight. I stupidly tipped not realising they charged a cover charge, there was no reparation offered only a sad sorry. To this day, I regret tipping and also not asking for the cover to be taken off.

    isnt it crazy that this restaurant owner travels around filming himself criticising other restaurants and telling them to get passion and to care and have standards. He should be spending his time working on getting his own restaurants right. That steak was terrible, floating in juice, it was wringing wet. And a a pre made cheesecake, no decent restaurant serves premade food. Im not even in the restaurant business but wouldnt you serve a cheese cake like that on a plate, like you would a tart. All this restaurant does is trade off a name. Such a great honest review once again. I will not eat at a ramsey restaurant because of what I saw today. Gary,
    You just know before you've even ordered, what the outcome will be. I doubt Ramsay has ever been near this place. Sells his branded name to whoever runs this chain, takes their money and then has no further interest. It's the same with so many like Ramsay, it's all about the money. Great review Gary, you and your son are doing a wonderful job, and watching this channel is a joy. Cheers mate.

      Business = money

      You are wearing adidas today, yet a £3 pair of TEMU shoes do the same job.
      What’s your excuse then?
      Check mate. ✅

    Shocking food. Never trust a restaurant that the main attraction is the Chef's name

    Totally agreed, Gary. I went there last June and the fish and chips were very average. Nothing special but somewhat decent. Have been back to Heathrow T5 since and I ate elsewhere. Keep up the fab reviews and I look forward to seeing your reviews from my home island!

    Wife said as a retired chef it's disgusting. She can see it's not been rested and also it's been cut up in advance, allowing even more juices to come out. Costly as well.

    It's quite amazing, a big time celebrity chef "Gordon Ramsay "puts his name on the restaurant and fails to have competent employees or procedures to oversee rookie mistakes. Service charge? Had your steak been rested, the service charge would have gone through the roof.

    After Gary’s reviews of the food at Gordon’s restaurants I wouldn’t visit any. The steak looked grey, the tomatoes had no char and two bites of cheesecake for £10 is just scandalous! I’d give it a 2.
