Thank you for this! I have an ALP system on order, hopefully to arrive soon. Will be running two regular sensors and a TX sensor both front and rear. Your video is very helpful as I did not know that this mode existed and I was nervous for the install to be done properly. The system is going on a 2021 Ram TRX. Pretty wide vehicle, so needs lots of coverage!

Cross talk has been an issue on parking sensors for many years. Became worse with introduction of ATC only heads a few years back. Glad Tom has this self-service mode implemented.

When you do a price comparison between the R9 and ALP + a custom installed radar system… honestly, this video makes the R9 look even better given how easy it is to work with.
Interesting I wonder too how long that service mode has been available? There has been talk of odd reflections in that pass as you know. Good its available and now many will be checking their systems...
Interesting as I’m worried about a new upcoming install on tahoe with two tx and two rx and a double rx tx and crossing fingers on that. Very worried about cross talk with dbl tx. I might want to pay you for ur advice if that service still available. Mike over at alp great but feel like I’m beating him up too much 😂
He’s been helpful. My installers said I Cldnt do dbl tx and dbl tx up front cause ports cldnt those plus the dbl rx and tx in rear
Not true according to alp He even wrote what ports and splitters wld be necessary. Third vehicle with alp. Worried about this BIG. Vehicle relative to my tried and true easier Amg and porsche Macan s installs

R4, for the money, by far, the best unit out there. Even if not “ for the money”, by far, the best unit out there. Like it better than my R8.
Vortex, I dont want to say this on the forum. This feature might have a good test, but this approach or technology is like the Flintstones.
What happened to all the dashcam reviews that were supposed to come out?
Combination of things. Everything from testing taking longer than expected, troubleshooting multiple defective copies, kids getting sick, and a big round of burnout. It’s still planned, but everything has been pushed back a lot, sorry.
I plan on a big comparison again before going back to catching up on individual reviews.
Defective copies should be reviewed as is so we get a real user experience
It will be part of the discussion, for sure.

Lazy jammers
Seems like an awful lot of money, work, wires, etc. for something that isn't even guaranteed to work. Plus it seems like a bit of over kill unless you're a drug runner. Speed kills. Spend the money on time management so you don't have to drive so fast to get where you're going.
