- In todays chivalry 2 gameplay I am using the morning star on the footman class and this thing might be the best one handed weapon in chivalry 2. It is so fast and absolutely blows up knights. Being able to accell those fast overheads leads to high kill games. Enjoy the chivalry 2 multiplayer gameplay.

What is your favorite one handed weapon in chiv 2?
something of a tie between Heavy Cavalry Sword, Mace/Morning Star, and Rapier.
Morning Star/Mace seem to have a special and rare property called "actually good first person animations" which neither of the other weapons get though.
I usually rock the Morning Star/ One Handed Axe combo. Some folks have a hard time reading the axe swings.
I like the sword, it just feels smooth to me.
Definitely the sword, it's very smooth and fast and I'm in love with it

Morning star is my fave one handed by far, especially in 1-1 duels.
I find it’s all about the footing and keeping distance, only countering if the opponent gets close. Let the opponent swing for you and punish their move by striking them straight after in their recovery moment. It works very often. Every now and then I add a heavy attack into the mix which catches people off guard and is usually the finishing blow. Best 1-1 weapon IMO.
I do this with the short sword as well. Wait for them to attack and use a light slash to beat their attack. And if they want to play distance all throw a throwing knife at them

Mace/morning star might just be the best weapon in the game. It's just so fast and like you said "extremely easy to gamble with". I feel like Sauron in the intro of fellowship with that thing.
Yo if you’re against a bad team or in a training grounds lobby the heavy mace on knight class REALLY makes you feel like Sauron.
Heavy slash kills to the legs send groups of people flying.
Best for knight smashing, but I think sword wins out overall since it can 1vX better. I take the Sword and Mace, in general switch to the mace when we outnumber the enemy because it has more killing power. The Mace and Morningstar difference I feel is slight, but the Sword and Short Sword difference I feel is a bigger gap. I main Man at Arms.

@@blo0m1985 the axe is great, I'd take it over the short sword, but I feel like the reach of the regular sword is better than the killing power gained from the axe. It is a nice middle ground though without the hit stop the mace has. If I go Morningstar I do axe as my secondary, this is all just my preference though.
I think the issue with the 3v3 and 1v1 in my experience, is that people don't take the time to learned how to actually fight. So when they get murdered very quickly they leave!
Like it's easier to play team objective and run around swinging and maybe somewhat defending yourself. It's another thing when you're focused directly on one or few players, and now you really have to see how good or trash you are! I'm on PS5 and I played against against a really good PC players and some really terrible ones same thing with other PS5 players, but I've learned so much from much more skilled PC players, even you Stridah, that has helped me dominate most matches. ESPECIALLY public team objective matches!

I found out the other evening that I really like the knife, so I ran around with the Seax next game and plowed out a 78-4 game. It’s so damn fast!
nothing is more fun than throwing dane axes for 100+ dmg, even 2 of them, or any other weapon nearby when 1 axe saved, then pick up your axe, get your spared axe, or go with knife to fight.

@@StridahsAngels they really do, ranked 3v3 and 1v1 would fix the game mode in my opinion
true, some KWA Scam lvl 1k with exec axe scoring 80-3 and insulting all 32 players of opposite team makes you want to stop playing even being lvl 300. There should be some ranking system, that puts you in another league. at least 3 such leagues should be created.

As an engineer if we dont stop them at the first bridge usually stop them at the farm. If offense makes it past that i know they have a few good fighters or either we have none
take engeener with sledge and demolish that fences with 1-2 hits. Build fences so their players need to go around. Also fences are bugged, you can take fire through such fences. Desecration map is most difficult against engeneers, on a tomb destroying phase.

I can't say I hate Bridgetown, but it gets super laggy once you get inside the town. So I dislike playing it.
Random question/observation, hit detection idk if it's just me but from the champ here I've seen 1 miss which should have landed or I miss saw but regardless, hit detection has been a bane for me, any suggestions to help or is it a "get gud" scenario?

Imo mace is the most cheap weapon in the game. It is the only time ever that i tbag and laugh on their bodies. Hate that weapon, but recognise How op it is

I absolutely get where he’s coming from for “best one handed” but lemme tell u the fucking mace is identical except it’s slightly longer. It doesn’t show that in the stats but I can’t emphasize enough that the mace has further range than the morning star and is otherwise the same thing

Why does stridah drop the shield every time
getting your shield broke can easily be your death. ziggy does the same but will pull out the shield on low stamina.

New map is trash. It ends too early, moves too fast except for where it can get held by 4 comp players in a tunnel. It's a legit 4v32 where the 4 could win situation.
The second objective on the new map is actually worse than Thayic Stronghold first point unless there has been extremely significant reworking.
It's terrifying to think what will happen when there's much bigger skill gaps than we had on the test server when I was able to hold the tunnels pretty significantly well solo against comp players.
