- Angels! In todays Chivalry 2 gameplay we are using the classic longsword on the knight officer. This is still probably the best weapon in chiv 2. Longsword is just so fluid and smooth to fight with. Enemies were falling down non stop in front of the champ. Enjoy the chivalry 2 gameplay.

Longsword or messer?
Honestly I’ve never handle a Longsword, but I have worked with something similar irl from Zombie Tools Called the Diphos, and the ability to attack from different angles because of the double edge is very advantageous. I do have a Messer though with a false back edge. It’s a hand and half sword with an excellent hand guard. Both really good swords, so for me, it’s a tough call.
Messer for me, the angled overheads let you land some sneaky reach around their guard type moves

Longsword just works. It does good damage. It's fast enough not to get gambled, and it stabs as well as the spears. Total banger of a weapon.

Tenosia is an awesome addition to chiv 2 that opens up world building opportunities.
Thank you! It also makes the most sense for a high-late medieval setting. Everyone suggesting Romans, Vikings or Japanese are bonkers, those cultures were either long gone by this time or not influential in Europe in the slightest but the Islamic Golden Age was literally happening right next door and was hugely influential to Medieval European politics and technology.

When it comes to the Tenosia faction as a whole , the lack of customization, lore in the story, and crying on the battlefield lol just makes me think it needs to be scrapped or replaced… Vikings , Romans, mongols??
The Raising of Askandir is one of my favorite maps. Once they add customization, Tenosia will be a solid faction

I like the first person camera, but my fights last too long to not see my blindsides.

First person is just a much better viewing experience imo
@@StridahsAngels i feel like 1st person is actually way stronger then 3rd sure you gain awareness but you lose the surgical precision of certain attacks like stabs and overheads plus it just feels plain easier to swing around some ones block in 1st person for me.
Just bought the game on Steam after playing on EGS and having to restart...longsword has been my go-to when playing Knight. Stabby stabs so fun!

I need to use the longsword more often before I can make a call between those two. Really like the messer so far.
I'm never sure how to value takedowns vs kills. Swinging a messer or greatsword it's easy to get loads of takedowns, but a proper kill feels more satisfying even if they're harder to achieve sometimes.
My active parry never seems to work i just get butchered constantly in 1vX by shitters even though they keep feeding me slash counters. Does ping cause this problem? because mines always over 80
Active parry may or may not work lol, it has a short window to work also
So are they still putting work into this game? I hop in and out of the game but doesn’t seem like there’s ever any big changes. Any plans to possibly add a new faction in the near future I wonder?

Hello new to chivalry just wondering how I can make sure me and my friend are on the same team when we que with each other any help would be appreciated
Sadly the party system in this game ain’t that great, and the dev team had done little to nothing to fix it or give it crossplay. So your group will likely get split up. Best bet is for whoever got separated to spectate and wait for a spot to join your team. I even experience this just playing with 1 friend.
Edit: It used to be easier to swap teams, but there was a team swapping problem for a long time. So they made it harder to swap teams.

Stridah I would say the only thing you need to work on in this game is playing the objective. Their were plenty of good moments at the start where you could’ve quickly delivered a pig or peasant to the boat and helped out instead of just focused solely on killing.
It’s a sad day in chiv when I need to carry a pig lol. Even in comp they want me roaming and slaying. I do my thing the points clear

People skip the longsword because they think it's mediocre. Some people would say the greatsword is superior as it has matching stats but extra reach.. I would argue that the greatsword is plainly worse than the longsword as it causes it's user to be overconfident. The longsword however, in first person with no hud, gives you maximum confidence as every second you spend using it you feel like you're actually a knight, fully immersed and in the zone, no care for dodgy drags or meta combos, just doing your thing cutting foes down and countering every attack that comes at you due to its superior speed against the average noob aka axe user. Next thing you know you check the scores and you are 20 - 0 without breaking a sweat. I'm not a pro, just a longsword main and this has been the way in most matches since I was around level 10. Currently level 154 and all of the above does take some practice but I can say with certainty that the longsword is the best weapon in the game.

Literally hey! In Australia the 64 player servers are all full of level 300-1000. Maybe 3-4 people in the game that will be under 100, this entire lobby is under 100.
thats a problem with some of chivalry 2’s new players like even they know your on the same team some continuously keep hitting you or when you need reviving they murder you for no reason especially these game passers who recently bought it as harsh as this may be but i have no problem butchering these new players

Just played the assault on thayac stronghold and all I can say is that map is awful and is extremely defender sided I’ve played 10 match’s so far and the attacking team has lost every single time

This game used to be fun, but now the duel's servers are full of people coming from straight FFA servers not flourishing. I tried to do the 1v1 arena and my opponent was LITERALLY F#&$*## INVISIBLE. And every team objective I join, the game always gives me pissants for teammates who kill their own team and generally suck at the game.

@@StridahsAngels Also just to clarify, I'm not being toxic. I'm just genuinely curious, none of our lobbies are full of under 100's with all default skins. They're legit all 300-1000 with the best skins etc. All I meant is I've never seen a lobby with so many low levels

ok so im not a hater... but I just dont see what the big deal is here. Pubstomping public lobbies typically isnt too hard. Just run around the edges and look for idiots who charge into 1vX and the stab them in the back which is like 90% of the kills in this video.
I do think Stridah is an above average player and likely better than me. But I'd like to see it show cased more.

yeah, get what you're saying, up to a point. But it's still harder than it looks, otherwise everyone would be getting 100+ takedowns, etc. There is some subtly here as well and Stridah quickly deals with those that even know what they're doing. Without false modesty, I'm good player myself and I'm usually top 3 on most lobbies consistently and can handle very good players. Take it from me (and many others!), Stridah is a top, top player.
@@gooner_duke2756 yeh I have played in lobbies with stridah and a bunch of the other 500+ streamer crowd a few times. I got some licks in but was bested by the best more often than not, no shame in that I play 2-10 hours a week an less than 100 hours total in chiv2 (2000+ in Chiv1)
Something I noticed is when the teams stacked up and the experienced players were together they had good game sense and positioning. See a team mate in trouble dive in. see a team mate obviously winning an exchange, not trying to hop over 5 other ppl to thirst the kill, see a bloody team mate cover em, bloody enemy finish em. Timing pushes to objectives, not stacking banners and horns needlessly etc.
Shitters just mindlessly run toward the obj left clicking and burn their specials as soon as they are off cool down.
@@MrAwsomeshot people discredit decision making and awareness, the movement and awareness in first person people may not even notice but it’s what allows me to consistently stomp.
