- Welcome back to another full-length gameplay video! In this match we try our luck with the newly added Katar weapon and end up with a FLAWLESS first place victory! I’d use the katars if I could jab more often. Us Xbox players tap RS to jab, but if you press to hard you’ll go into crouch mode :(
Worse on PS4, same on PS4 with l3 jab, but u can't jab if your turning, even if u tap it will crouch, numbnut developers can't even add keybindings to a game that has keybindings on PC AND has cross play, it's just lazy

The issue for me is attempting to drag or accel any attack and doing an immediate followup jab because i accidentally pressed r3. Happens so often, very frustrating.
this is slowly becoming my new favorite game
The combat is great just imagen if the game would get more new weapons, clothing, maps and content.
Finally unlocking the Katar’s lvl77 skin after grinding it for a month and 5975 kills (progression doesn’t show take downs or kills). I agree your comment regarding the Katar and think this is the worst weapon in the game, worse than the cudgel. I will never use the katar again even if the slightly buff it.
Topped the scoreboard about 5 times while using katar but usually means my team was subpar. Your team appears fine though. Great work for not dying with the Katar and being the top of the scoreboard.
P.S My War Axe only had 4900ish kills at lvl 77, suggesting it is much more difficult to secure the kill blow with the katar

Honestly i think not only could there be a damage buff considering weapons like the maul exist but that you should have more stamina regen as an ambusher in general, seems like you can only block 4 hits with katars

it needs a nice damage buff and a good jab, if the lights did say 45-50 base and it had a jab it would be godly, a range increase wouldnt hurt either
I think the Katar has got to be the most unique weapon in the game along with the staff and maybe the siege crossbow.
The damage may small, but its attack speed what makes it OP

lost a 1v4 to a guy with a hatchet before. it was action crazy how good the guy was. (i was part of the 4)
Just came back to this (alt profile to theredcinder), just as I requested the katars got more guard stamina among other things! I have some good games recorded with them on my channel. I even got a 93 kill game which sadly I did not get on recording. They are honestly pretty reliable at this point if you know how to counter imo.
I think I might make more chiv 2 videos. I made one for fun and it was awful, but you looked like you had so much fun. Keep it up brother.
I dont get how u do the slash with them? I've tried all the attack buttons and all they do is jab or overhead. Bull
Similar to the spears, the katars have 2 stabs and an overhead. No slash option.

People I run up against with katars rely so heavily on special, I feel bad for all the katarers out there.
Generally it seems like your recovery is good enough to block after a hit, too bad the stamina damage on katars is brutal so you need to be a counter god. I guess devs design them to be for gentlemen only.
Yeah as of this moment the special attack is crucial for their playstyle. Consumes a lot of stam and their stamina management is not good either. Hopefully they buff them a bit because I like the concept for them!
How are you supposed to tell what attack is what with these? Do they only jab? Is this the same with the Spear? Cause it seems like they both have like one animation.
Katars have 2 stab attacks and an overhead, similar to spear.
@@StripedSweater Ok. Stabs seem to be the hardest thing for me to counter, for some reason. Not like I can easily counter anything but slashes, but these are the most consistently difficult.

How does the kill feed on the top right show so much for you?
For mine it only shows my own kills and deaths
If you go into the game settings there is an option to show all kills in the kill feed instead of just your own.

I agree! I think a slight damage buff to the stabs would help it. Sprint special also needs a hefty damage buff

I’m just starting to get into these… I’ve been getting some decent kills with them but I fall apart in some fights im not used to the no flinch… mostly do stabs and overheads
