- In todays chivalry 2 gameplay i am using one of the best one handed weapons in chivalry 2 the heavy cavalry sword. The heavy cavalry sword is criminally underrated but if you can control the distance SLAPS! I am playing first person team objective on the dark forest map. Enjoy the pro chivalry 2 gameplay.

The saber I have is a little awkward to figure out at first because it’s so forward heavy, but once you get comfortable with it, the sword cuts like a dream.
It’s slept on because it has a bigger skill gap than most weapons, the really long recovery makes it punishing if you miss a swing or mess up a counter, but once you master that it’s incredibly good
I agree also not being able to just heavy swing once and kill people means you have to keep good mechanics
Awesome!! Yeah I feel like I’m the only one who uses it. The special attack is awesome. I use that a lot and you can pretty much get a free special without a penalty even if they block it.
You can just reset the situation after it. The overhead is so janky so throwing heavy overheads works super well
Idk if it’s the longer release or what but I feel you get a longer window to time and look for the right guy to hit the counters in groups
Do people prefer guardian or man at arms for the saber? Ive been grinding Man at arms but rarely see others.
The only reason I don’t use it more often is because the weapon is anachronistic for a late medieval/early Renaissance setting
The pole axe wishes its slashes were this good. The faster stronger overheads is the cherry on top.
Yeah, I wish poleaxe was better in this game. It was like the meta back in 1390
so i have been using cavalry sword since the weapons release because i just liked the aesthetic of the sword. The most effective way to use it is to prioritize heavy overhead attacks whenever you can and use other directional light and medium attacks with feinting to keep up pressure, you dont necessarily need a shield using this weapon but it has its uses, its a fairly fast weapon that has oomph once you get the feeling of it.
I LOVEE this weapon! Im glad its getting some more recognition
I use cavalry swords but only for Tenosia, since it feels in place. If I ever need a one-handed sword otherwise it's falchion or shortsword for me

How do you counter 1 handed weapons in this game ? this is my biggest problem like if someone with a mace come to me im like oh man here we goo they like dont obey the rules of the game and can just swing and hit you so fast
Jabs are a good counter for aggressive opponents, but I typically only go for jabs when I have a medium shield. Its easier to jab with a medium shield and it does 15 damage. The other way to counter it is to join it, swap to your secondary weapon. You’ll have an easier time if you match their weapon type.

Rapier is an absolute menace in TO if u know how tou use it correctly
i havent been on attack in darkforest in litreral months. hate that map so much
I just got into chivalry 2 recently. Sub level 70. It is a blast. I still struggle in full player lobbies. Need more practice losing is all

imo it sucks, honestly
very slow, damage is mid and yeah you got reach but someone that facehugs with the axe or Morningstar will kill you given equal skill
