This was when the giant reached his peak in popularity and size. From the time he staged this live in Amsterdam (I guess), his health started waning.TPOK had reached its peak. It will take another one hundred years to get an enigma like Luambo Luanzo Makiadi. The sweat on his brow, a premonition that speaks a lot to some of us, gifted in soothsaying.

ari pup My father was a huge fan and this is what we were listening to every Saturday morning. I swear I was only 2 when this song came out but I’ve loved it from the very beginning. My mother would tell us stories about going to parties as younger children and when this would come on “I’d say omg this is my song” in Sango! Lol 😂. Because of that I have good taste in music and I die for an awesome riff!!! 😍😍😍 Franco worked the guitar 🎸 like it was nothing

Aoko, it's the comment i have been looking for. "wadwaro donjo" and the poor stadium wall came down!! such was the power of ok jazz. they say someone was testing a guitar getting ready for the show but the show had not started. in tanzania his show had to be cancelled coz it coincided with Nyerere's - imagine.
