It hurts to know that the Congo Kinshasa of the great Luambo is no more!! Those of us who grew up on Franco's music all over the African continent shed tears each time we listen to his music!! Yes, Luambo Luanzo Makiadi Franco lives on; but the new DRC is a complete let down to the people of Congo.
hongereni wapiga mizuki wa tp ok jaaz said ikipambwa na waimbaji mahiri bila kumsahau josky kiambukuta gita la solo likiimbwa na mzee mwenyewe luambo luanzo makiad 1974 walitumbuiza tabora tz waliotangulia mbele za haki Wallace salama
You will be lying when you talk of Lingala music without the mention of TPOK Jazz. Some of us shed tears everytime we listen to music by TPOK Jazz yet the Grand master who kept the band together is no more including these singers. RIP TPOK Jazz legends.
Let us hope for peace in the richest continent on earth and in need of safety, respect and cease of civil war. We are lucky to have these documents from one of the greatest musical minds on any continent on any country period. The music lacks distribution with the demise of Sonodisc Records and the death of Le Grand Maître and too many members of TPOK who needlessly died to illness that could have been easily cared for in many cases and the civil unrest is a disgrace to souls needlessly lost.
On ne vie qu'elle soule fois. You only live once. And most of the musicians are long gone. Rest in peace Luambo Makiadi, Josky Kiambukuta, Ntesa Dalienst, Simaro Lutumba. We miss you.
😮This is one of the greatest compositions of TP OK Jazz. Blaise-Pascal Wuta Mayi did a great job here accompanied by Josky Kiambukuta Londa, Ya Ntesa Zitany Dalienst and Diatho Lukoki in this song in praise of his wife, Princess Diya Odimba.

This is exactly what the word 'magnificent' was created for.

Excellent! What a beauty. It will surely take time to replace this team. Long live TPOK Jazz, long live Franco.
I am yet to find a greater musician than Franco. He produced more than 50 musicians who had there own bands.
The first song of T.P.O.K.JAZZ Í´ve heard and still sounds like the first day.
listening to such kind of music can make me live longer life. Rip Makiadi, you left a huge gap that would take milions of yrs to be sealed.
That Ranger back line is insane. I love those amps.
