I am kind of like you, in a sense. I pick up too many things, always trying to do more and feeling like I cannot give up on things. This leads me to be paralysed when it comes to choosing what I should focus on, and I end up just wasting the time just gaming or watching CZcams. I feel like I'm not enjoying life and also not making any progress.
I am hopeful I can at least focus my energy where it matters, like you are, but I am really happy to see you express how you feel about day-to-day life. I'm sure it is as relatable to others, as it is to me, and for that, I thank you!
Thank you Dorain for your amazing content.
Thanks so much Sir, you have inspired me for a couple of months now, and I can feel am in the right path, even though I started a little bit late. Being a young man at 25, I lost precious time after high school, now am busy doing some Java tutorials hoping I am going to make it 🙏🙏
I put a lot of effort in the wrong things like video games and searching for girls but sometimes my mind always bring me back to what I really wanna be, a data scientist, so maybe If I really develop this hability of put my focus in what matters my life might start to change, thank you for your videos and keep doying the great job, youre a truely and real inspiration for us
Great vid bro. Great editing!! Seems like you put in extra work on this one to me.
I think you are on the right path about turning your obsession on producive things. Don't think it's unhealthy, I think it's a part of your personality. And I also don't think a lot of big people in humanity are normal people, they are like this..
Man this video is inspirational
And the video edit is also great
Real hustlers get inspiration from the little things in life. Real creators know how to process that inspiration. Real men take care of their families and themselves. Keep it up brother.
A man needs an obsession.
When you’re hustling, you’re hustling.
When you’re with the family, you’re with the family.
Don’t mix the two. 💪🏽
The only addictive non destructive thing I know of right now is to work for myself. Because the regret of not trying or doing is much worse feeling for me.
I am also trying to work through this! We keep thinking and worrying about the past and future, which don’t exist, instead of being present. I would recommend the book The Power of Now.
Great story man, thanks for sharing 🙏
i'm on the other side paralyzed to even start, because i would need to invest myself all in in order to do something, do something every single day, but i'm not sure if its for me
I like this content, man. Keep it up.
There is only a moment between the past and the future,
This is what is called life!
Good video! Keep up the good work, Dorian.
4:48 😂😂
re: old man looking at birds: it is not magic of being old, it could be just lacking the internal dialogue, many people actually dont have any internal dialogue, some people say it may be detrimental not have it.
Rewind time by 40 years and that old man was probably just like you. There's a lot of pressure on young men to work hard, make something of themselves and offer the ability to provide. Always has been, always will be. When you get to that guy's age and you don't have to worry about building wealth or raising children, it's a lot easier to just relax and enjoy your time.
The hustle is an asset, not a bad thing. We just need to learn how to shut it off for short periods of time in the evenings and on weekends, which is a lot easier said than done.
Really liked the story you told in the beginning! Also can we have a link to that website you just put up please?
I have ADHD and I suffer the same.
I feel unable to go all-in in anything, please help me
Weird life. Watching and doing nice things while you need to fight for earning the life. What's the balance?
I suggest "underground notes" from Dostoyevski. It's not exactly about this topic. But it's close and very meaningful.
Ma man :)
You have over quarter million subs.... You can launch products from here...
mate I love this content, but again - the music is very annoying, idk if it's just me...
We should spend less time looking back nostalgic and contemplating too much about future. Let's live the moment, every minutes and seconds matter. Also, don't spend too much time on 'hobbies' that revolves around digital screens. Go outside and touch some grass and everything will be fine. Cheers
I don't like that you included video games as one of the "bad things." Video games are amazing, and even if you want to make money from playing them, the opportunity is there. You can make a lot of money just by streaming yourself playing popular video games. Some streamers have made millions. Regardless, I still like most of your content.
video games can be an addiction like anything else.
@@xTheRainFallsx or they don't have to be an addiction, just like anything else, if you have some form of self control. People can play for 5 to 10 hours a week, and then put them down, just like anything else. It's not a necessity that one plays for 100 hours a week just because they're a gamer.
Also, another thing: what about gamers who make a living playing them? There are tournament players, streamers, video game testers, etc. Just a few months ago, someone from Taiwan won a million dollars for being the best Street Fighter 6 player in the world. Should someone like him, or should someone with similar potential as him not play video games for a long time just to avoid being classified as being "addicted"? If I can become a millionaire doing something, then I would love to be addicted to it.
@DorianDevelops has a point here. There a fraction of 0.1% o people playing games that make money thanks to it. Majority of people play games to have fun for a while. This can turn into a coping habit. There is far more negatives than positives. I am talking from my own experience. Tons of time spent outside of reality does not help you become a better person.
Games > Videos
Back in the past, video games were great because they had an end. They were usually short, so you'd allocate less time to them. People were more social, went outside more e.t.c
But video games presently have unending dlc's, pre-orders, battle passes, k.d ratio e.t.c. Every new update brings a new mechanic e.t.c.
So, instead of just playing the game to the end, you end up playing the game until the publisher decides it ends.
Now, you see why video games are extremely addictive and have now become a huge negative
