Excellent hike and beautiful views, glad I found your channel, thanks for the video! You really got lucky with the winter storm rolling in out there. Looks like that whole area is going to get dumped on. I was out that way three weeks ago and hiked up around the north side of Spaulding Lake out to the falls.
Haha. Atticus loves hiking! This sounds cheesy but I don’t care, it means a lot to me that you watch and comment on my videos. I really enjoy your channel and the returned support is amazing. I’ve gotten so much support back from a lot of creators that inspire me. It’s really encouraging.
@@LostAgainwithJim Thank you! I like your channel because you go to places that I am interested in myself. And you've got a really cute hiking dog buddy (I want one SO bad, but I'm waiting). And your videos are well edited. Keep on doing the thing!
@@AmyRoutt Thanks! I feel like I'm getting better with each video. Hopefully more people start finding and watching them! Maybe I just need more Atty haha. Everyone seems to love him!!
@@LostAgainwithJim Yeah, I think it just takes time unless you get lucky and the algorithm takes some of your videos for a ride. I'm a slow growing channel myself, but maybe it's a good thing because we will have more to learn and improve upon before we have more people watching our videos! lol
Great video, I enjoyed every minute of it. Amazing views form the top! But 1500 feet up in the first mile?? I have yet to come across a climb like that!! My hats off to you sir! Looks like Atticus would stop every 10' to smell something different. ~woodglue
@@LostAgainwithJim Thank you kind sir! I live in Sacramento, this is in my backyard. I can currently see the peak from my office in downtown Sacramento. Everyday I look over at Desolation/Pyramid and think, "I need to climb that mountain!" Cheers

Oh. That’s a beautiful area. I love Spaulding Lake.
That’s some day hike, nice job and nice video
Thanks! It was a challenge for sure. But it's nice to push it every once in a while. Just so you know your limits!
WOW that is definitely steep/a lot of gain! Also, love seeing Atticus in your videos. And thanks for the "don't be those guys" message! hahaha

@@AmyRoutt I enjoy making them, so even if it never really takes off, I'll keep doing it. It's fun for me.
Oooh, Atticus found the bit of snow up there. Is parking just at the Chain-On area or where is it?
It is! We stopped at the the regular parking lot for our permit, and then drove up the rode bit to park.
Great video, I enjoyed every minute of it.

Oh he does haha. He’s particularly fond of manzanita. He has to smell everyone we walk past.
Can you provide a link to the trailhead? I looked on my alltrails Pro and I couldn't locate it.
In AllTrails it’s listed as “Pyramid Peak
