  • Hydration and electrolytes are crucial for maintaining good health. They work together to ensure your body functions properly.
    Hydration
    Water makes up about 60% of your body weight and is essential for various bodily functions, including:
    Regulating body temperature
    Lubricating joints
    Delivering nutrients to cells
    Removing waste products
    Maintaining blood pressure
    Dehydration occurs when you lose more fluids than you take in. It can lead to various problems, such as:
    * Fatigue
    * Dizziness
    * Headache
    * Constipation
    * Kidney stones
    * Urinary tract infections
    Electrolytes
    Electrolytes are minerals that conduct electricity when dissolved in water. They play a vital role in many bodily functions, including:
    Maintaining the balance of fluids inside and outside your cells
    Supporting muscle and nerve function
    Regulating blood pressure
    Maintaining a healthy pH level
    Electrolyte imbalance can occur due to excessive sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, or certain medications. Symptoms of electrolyte imbalance can include:
    * Muscle cramps
    * Weakness
    * Fatigue
    * Irregular heartbeat
    * Nausea and vomiting
    Importance of maintaining balance
    Maintaining proper hydration and electrolyte balance is crucial for optimal health and performance. Here are some tips to stay hydrated and maintain electrolyte balance:
    Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. Aim for eight glasses of water per day, but adjust based on your activity level and climate.
    Eat a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, which are good sources of electrolytes.
    Consider electrolyte drinks if you are sweating heavily during exercise or in hot weather, or if you are experiencing vomiting or diarrhea.
    By staying hydrated and maintaining electrolyte balance, you can help your body function at its best and avoid potential health problems.

      However, I used "push myself." Then, I started getting kidney stones. Not immediately, but later on. After a few lengthy discussions, it was discovered that pushing isn't what it's cracked up to be. Not everyone is the same, and the results will vary greatly.
      Kidney stones are no fun.
