      He said less. I've been doing a a ratio of 1Lemon/2Liter/HalfGallon. So like the ratio of a quarter lemons worth of juice per about the amount of water in a dasani bottle. Then I add half a teaspoon of salt. If you want you could experiment with splenda or smth.

      Plus most people don’t need the salt unless they sweat a lot. Weightlifting doesn’t need the salt usually, walking doesn’t.

      ​@@ErikaMayXI bought some potassium citrate powder. It helps with high blood pressure. I make my mix with potassium citrate powder, magnesium citrate powder, tamarind drink mix, and some sea salt.

      ​@@ErikaMayXDrink beet juice, it drastically reduces blood pressure because of nitrates, same with Pomegranate. Made my dad do it, did systolic reading went from 165 to 120. Look it up!

    I recommend adding cucumber slices or even better, juiced/blended cucumber. Cucumber has more magnesium, calcium and potassium than lemon.

    That's awesome it takes years to figure out how to stay properly hydrated, this is great, people understimate the importance of daily hydriation, especially in non-atheletes/atheletics, kids, or people with headaches, muscle paings etc...

      ​@@25thVictor "drink water" doesn't really hydrate you. Without electrolytes, etc your body doesn't fully hydrate. Simply drinking water won't energise you enough

    Tastes like a parfait! I put 1 tsp pink h sea salt, half coco water, 1/2 lemon then filled the rest with distilled water. Amazing taste! We’ll see if my body responds properly. Thank you for the no frills video too!

      Pink sea salt has a ton of microplastic in it as well it is not regulated during mining so they use dynamite…it has radiation as well. Use sea salt

    I'm assuming this works for any cardio endurance athlete such as cycling, rowing, etc., and we can always tweak this recipe to have more or less of certain electrolytes depending on how much we sweat, how salty our sweat is, length of activity/intensity, etc.?

    Note:
    500 ml of coconut water
    1/2 tsp of sea salt
    1/2 lemon
    Yields to:
    1,000 mg of sodium
    1,500 mg of chloride
    Potassium and magnesium
    Total of 4,000 mg of electrolytes

    I just use Cole Robinson Snake Juice Updated Recipe with a squeeze of lemon and a teaspoon pf maple syrup for minerals and some sweetness. Less than $1 per serving. 😉 🍋

    Salt does not increase blood pressure; it's something we all need, especially if we're exercising (sweating) on a daily basis. Without salt you will dehydrate and endanger your health in many ways. But store-bought salt is deficient in minerals, and that's the problem. I use Redmond Real Salt. It might seem a bit pricy at first, but I only have to order it once every three months. Worth it. The best thing we can do is ditch ALL our sugar, the real killer.

    yes but adding lemon into your water daily will hurt your throat and can possibly cause ulcers due to its acidic nature i made this mistake and my throat felt like i had strep throat for 2 days

    So many of these electrolytes videos are popping up on socials…Unless you are a semi/ professional athlete training several hours a day you don’t need added electrolytes. Eating a normal balanced diet, salting food to taste and keeping hydrated is more than enough for 90% people training needs.
