1976 Evinrude 2 horsepower motor - Ned's Fishing Channel

Just got this motor from my good buddy Harold who took it from his Dad's garage and rebuilt the whole thing with new water pump and carburetter. Low hours starts and runs great! Pushing the 13 foot Gheenoe canoe.

Nice, this guy out here is selling one of these with a 16' canoe. Your engine speed was still accelerating when you cut the vid so I assume you made the predicted 5kts in a 13' 75lbs canoe. This guys claim is that this old eggbeater only has 6 hrs on it, haa ha and it looks just like yours' era, haa ha.
But I see you ripping along so it must be a keeper.

@@hunt4fish Sorry , my mistake. you are right sir. I was thinking wrong.. I have three 2 hp evinrude and one 2 hp Suzuki . On the Suzuki the impeller sits behind the propel. Sorry for my bad english. I’m from norway..

Had problem with motor, would only run with choke half out, Harold came by the very next day to check it out, he was not amused by my stupidity.Solution; unscew carb adjustment and let and water out of carb, then check gass for water in it.

What do u mean , i have a 1975 and i just checked the impeller/water pump yesterday, it is definitely water cooled or it wouldn,t have one.
