I got food poisoning from gas station hot dogs and I was like addicted to them at the time. I learned that the more done they are, the longer they've been on the roller grill. I figured they had enuf preservatives in them to be safe. WRONG!!!! Haven't had one since. I stick with things they've put a time on so I know they rotate the food when they are supposed to as required by law. I worked for McDonald's for a short time and found out they don't always rotate the food within the time requirements during slow times either. I do like Big Gulps because they can last me all day. My favorite is pouring a 24 oz. cup of French Vanilla cappuccino mixed equally with the strongest coffee they have. Fill a Big Gulp cup completely with ice and then just pouring the coffee over it. You get a full Big Gulp of iced coffee which lasts all day and might keep you up all night as well 🥴 but is a really great coffee drink!
I will say that in south Florida there are many gas’s stations with Cuban food and it’s sometimes really delicious. Otherwise, I will opt for chips and a smart water.
I love this!!! 😂 I can't even deny it, the gas station by me has a Chipotle chicken wrap. So good. Cobb salad. So good. BBQ pulled pork & chicken sandwich from the Cafe. So good. Never thought I'd be saying that til I moved to a town without a grocery store...we have a dollar general though. 🙄🤣

If in michigan find a Wesco, their subs and pizzas are decent for gas station food. Their coffee station is okay too. They normally have the whippy hot cocoa machine with the whippy cappuccino. Try the traverse city cherry flavor. I mix half and half wiyh the french vanilla. Its like a thick hot cocoa consistency coffe lol. I know but i got a thing for cheap has station cappuccino 😂 lol
I used to go to 7/11 back in 2012 (in my 20s) I'd get chili cheese dog and add MAD HOTSAUCE and nachos with chili cheese sauce on the side as well no soggy chips for me
My guilty pleasure: get the Mac n cheese from QT and top it with chili and hot sauce😋. It will make your mouth smile and your gut want to fight you later.
I LOVE me a good 7 Eleven/Speedway hotdog and nothing beats a good ol' Fountain Dew!! 😂 Edited to add: The Toquitos are DEFINITELY crispy, so I'm assuming yours was undercooked.

The tuna sandwich has been bad for over 40 years!!! Frfr. I remember when my job ,I just retired from ,had them in the vending machines. Back in 95 or so. Working nights, manual labor, toddler at home. I was starving and had to buy one of the nasty tuna sandwiches, and Mountain Dew. It was something else.
I trust 7-11 to rotate the food though. The bigger Chain stations have lots of good food. Especially the ones you can order fresh cooked food that wasn't under a heat lamp.
I’m with you! But there is a gas station out by my mom that actually cooks real food..and it’s actually good…like hamburger steak, rice/gravy..etc. that sort of thing.
