Thank you! I genuinely don't want anyones business to suffer bc something I said! Everyone is different and likes different things and you never know if maybe I just had it on an off day or something. ❤️
@@Ashlovescondimentsno boo you said it right we all like different things . It’s your page your opinion but I understand not wanting anyone’s business to suffer . It’s hard being human 😂
I think the noodles got soft because of the interesting way they packaged it. Those noodles were sitting over that hot broth and just kept cooking. Maybe they got overcooked because it took to long between the time you got your food and the time you ate it? Thats why I think at my local pho place they package the noodles away from the broth because they would be overcooked by the time i got home if it was on top of the broth or floating in the broth.
I think you should order this and eat it at the restaurant to see if the noodles are still mushy. I think the way it was packaged, the heat from the soup continued to cook the noodles. If you try it there and they aren't overcooked or mushy, maybe you can request them to package the noodles separately next time.
Dunkin and Starbucks both burn the hell out of their "coffee" And charge a fortune for it. Fun fact, Kirkland coffee, from Costco,is exactly what Starbucks uses, just repacked.
You can definitely switch things up for your Banh Mi! Don’t give up on it. Proteins can be switched out! Try adding sriracha or chili oil, lime juice, and hoisin to your pho!
I think the way they packaged it caused the noodles to overcook. That’s why I think most Vietnamese places keep them separate. Even not in broth the steam alone spill overcook them. The noodles used are very delicate but will have a good bite if prepared and packed correctly. It’s sad because it’s an easy fix.
Lol um. My parents are from Vietnam, and those banh mi bites already gave me a bad vibe for the restaurant. And then they kept the noodles in the soup for take out?! Oh nooooo honey. This restaurant isn’t doing things right.
yeah if the broth was separate from the noodles for takeout or if you ate it in the restaurant it might’ve been a better experience for you! the noodle texture definitely plays a big role in the enjoyment😅
This makes so much sense nowww. I'm from Lorain Ohio ! Have you ever tried RAINBOWS??? It's fire PuertoRican food. Rice and beans, beef stew, potato ball, and the best part ...pasteles
I think the noodles may have steamed to long on top of the hot broth on both soups.Thats why I never do Pho to gho.And Banh Mi's are really good without the pate.
I live in far north Dallas and we literally have a really nice Vietnamese restaurant called what the pho. It’s insanely good, highly recommended for anyone in the area
Omfg Ashley... Im glad you said those names of restaurants... So funny there is a restaurants out here by me called "Good Pho You" and knowing what pho is i thought it was so funny and clever 😂😂😂 love it ...
Nothing better than a good bowl of pho. The problem with rice noodles is that they go south so quickly. Even the next day they lose their integrity, whereas egg noodles, wheat noodles are still ok heated up later. (ie lo mein)
The noodles are not suppose to be soft/mushy. Generally a good place will pack everything separately and then you add everything in that is to preserve the meat from overcooking as well as the noodles. I break up the bag of toppings basil, mint, cilantro, jalapeños, then add the Asian sprouts and squeeze the lime in my Bun Bo Way or Pho. If done properly both are excellent dishes. I prefer spicy so I go for the Bun Bo Way. Then I top it off with/some chili oil paste...yum!
Ash- I want you to try another banh mi - you don't have to get a "combo" one that has pate! They have chicken, pork meatballs. BQ pork ones and stuff that you can try that doesn't have Vietnamese ham and stuff. Also they shouldn't have a strong pork flavor! If you ever come to houston please let us know :) there are SO MANY AMAZING VIET PLACES HERE!!! Also- I think you would love it personally, it's so fresh with the pickled veggies and stuff. This place's "banh mi" looks too far from a real one LOLL
The pate is what she doesn't like. It's made with organ meats, and that flavor is too strong for her. She did another review recently, where she had the same issue. It was so porky flavored, that it tasted gamey to her.
Bahn mi's (sp?) Come in lots of flavors and don't all include the pate. You can get lots of different ones with no weird pate if you don't like it. With how much you like the veggies and fresh, crunchiness, I think you'd like it.
Banh mi can be very customizable, you can add butter instead, many different meats, and any veggies you want mostly cucumbers, cilantro, and shedded carrots and dikons
the reason why the noodles were soggy/mushy could possibly be because they were overcooked to begin with. the type of noodle that were in both dishes differ from your typical pho noodles. they noodles used in both dishes tend to soak up moisture/juice more quickly & easily than pho noodles.
Love your videos. I might have to make pho today! You don't have to make a video, but maybe go back to the restaurant and eat there - see if the noodles are better when you're served inhouse?
See, now you're gonna make me warm up my leftover pho. I was gonna wait till tomorrow, but there's no way after watching this, lol. Overcooked noodles will eff up your whole meal. 💜
Regarding the banh mi... my favorites dont have the pate spread... I just REALLY love all the fresh and pickled veggies. And I usually get mine with a side of peanut sauce to dip it in... SO GOOD!!
I think the noodles are a little over cooked. I don’t think it’s supposed to be that soft. I love 💕 pho if it’s done correctly and star anise taste smells like licorice but delicious with pho… the meat I don’t think it’s supposed to be that chewy…. I’m sorry for that experience with the restaurant. Pho supposed to be better 🎉❤🎉❤
When my husband cooks noodles he cooks them way too much. Just like that! I hate them! Maybe it was just the day or time you went, but that's pretty sad.
The noodles need to be completely seperate from the hot broth. I love me Pho to go personally because i cant eat it fast enough in the restaurant before that noodles go soft. If you get it take out then you can add the noodles as you go and they always stay perfect. At least that is the way I love to enjoy Pho!
I feel like even tho technically the noodles were separate from the broth because the broth was hot it cooked the noodles more... Which is why its better to fully separate them..
Oooooh noooo the noodles should have substance to them not soggy! Place I go to always makes the noodles for transport a lil undercooked so when I add them to the broth they finish cooking
That does look real amazingly delicious 😋 I do agree about noodle texture. I love the look of the spicy pho. If I were you I would order the pho 🍜 with no noodles & make your own at home 😅
That was my 1st thought when you were unpacking it, they gonna be mush and then you confirmed it😢nothin worse, but an easy fix...keep the noodles from atop the hot broth cuz they keep ooóñnn cookin.
I’ve had experiences like this where I return and the texture is different. Maybe the noodles aren’t always that way 🤷🏻♀️ I love your reviews though! ❤❤❤❤
One time I took a vacation to Bryan, Ohio. I loved it. Quiet small town with a town square. Anyways, I went to a Toledo Mudhens game. Ohio is beautiful.
I've never had a pho with chewy meat. That would be so hard to eat! Juggling the meat, the noodles, and the broth, while chew chew chewing the beef 😂 I love Vietnamese food! ♡
It must have been too long a drive. The broth should be steaming and the noodles should be al dente. Plus pho needs the veggies, some lime, fresh basil, and some spiced oil for flavor.
I love how Ash feels bad that the food isn't great..shows she has a heart even when she doesn't like the food..she's one of my favorite CZcamsrs 💛
Thank you! I genuinely don't want anyones business to suffer bc something I said! Everyone is different and likes different things and you never know if maybe I just had it on an off day or something. ❤️

When I lived in AZ I was down the street from Phô King Eggroll. No lie. 😂
Pho shizzle 😆 I can’t even! lol! You’re the best!
And no one likes a soggy noodle… nothing worse!

Exactly this! This doesn’t do justice to how actually good it is
There's a pho place in my home town called "What the Pho" 😂

I am going to have to check them out! I have only gotten pho from a place over on Upton.

Pho broth always has star anise, so that's the licorice you're getting.
yeah if the broth was separate from the noodles for takeout or if you ate it in the restaurant it might’ve been a better experience for you! the noodle texture definitely plays a big role in the enjoyment😅

There's a pho place in Toronto called Pho King Fabulous. I first went just for the name
We have a “What the Pho’” in Charlotte NC.
I think the noodles may have steamed to long on top of the hot broth on both soups.Thats why I never do Pho to gho.And Banh Mi's are really good without the pate.
Sweetened condensed milk is in Vietnamese coffee drinks.
We have a Pho restaurant where I live called Un-Pho-gettable. I haven't been but I love the name lol
Definitely valid in regards to the noodles. The noodles would have been different if it were not take out… but generally, loved what you picked! 😊
You are def a FOODIE. Love it.
We have a place called “Pho King Good” in Oregon 😂…. The best name 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Oh yeah I would be saving those containers!😂
I live in far north Dallas and we literally have a really nice Vietnamese restaurant called what the pho. It’s insanely good, highly recommended for anyone in the area
I live in North Dallas and have been to What the Pho!!!! #Excellent 😊

I don't care what noodles I have but Noodles have to be aldante. I'm so happy you didn't lie about the review
A Thai restaurant near me is called Phucket!
Dope!

LMAO😂😂 You are so funny!! Thank You for all your videos. Take Care
Omg the noodle cadaver comment had me rollin 😂😂
I’m with you about the noodle texture. Mushy noodles are gross but that spicy broth looks delicious. Love your channel 😊
You are hilarious 😂
All that looks delicious 😋
Ashley! I love your videos ❤ I can't eat pho without hoisin and sriracha mixed in. If you're ever willing to try again, add those in!
Ash- I want you to try another banh mi - you don't have to get a "combo" one that has pate! They have chicken, pork meatballs. I do agree about ordering her own bahn mi, so she doesn't get anything that's not in her wheel house.
“What the Pho?” Is the best name!!!! 😂
The licorice smell was probably the star anise they use in it
I'm with you! Not a soft noodle fan, Al Dente is the way❤ I do love trying different types of food
The parents know the secret to the noodles… they did the broth and toppings separately
Bahn mi's (sp?) Come in lots of flavors and don't all include the pate. You can get lots of different ones with no weird pate if you don't like it. With how much you like the veggies and fresh, crunchiness, I think you'd like it.

We have a restaurant in my town called Pho Bulous! It’s super good
the reason why the noodles were soggy/mushy could possibly be because they were overcooked to begin with. the type of noodle that were in both dishes differ from your typical pho noodles. they noodles used in both dishes tend to soak up moisture/juice more quickly & easily than pho noodles.
We had a restaurant, now closed near us, called “pho king awesome”. No joke! Waukesha, WI
I'm with you I can't stand a soggy noodle.
What the Pho😂😂😂😂
Love your videos. I might have to make pho today! You don't have to make a video, but maybe go back to the restaurant and eat there - see if the noodles are better when you're served inhouse?
Here in cols, oh, we have 61pho...cause our phone prefix is 614!😂
They need to separate the noodles from the broth, because the heat from the hot broth is over cooking the noodles.
yeah their “technology” is ruining their food lol
Try a vegan banh mi sometime with tofu. So good and no gaminess!
I would say eat in the restaurant instead of taking out especially Pho if that's how they have it to take out. Pho is an amazing dish.
See, now you're gonna make me warm up my leftover pho. I was gonna wait till tomorrow, but there's no way after watching this, lol. Overcooked noodles will eff up your whole meal. 💜
I love you so much, you are so freaking fun to watch 🤣🥰 thank you for always making me laugh and smile!! 🫶🏼
You can make it at home…brew your coffee and add sweetened condensed milk.
Regarding the banh mi... my favorites dont have the pate spread... I just REALLY love all the fresh and pickled veggies. And I usually get mine with a side of peanut sauce to dip it in... SO GOOD!!

Cridersville, Ohio sending love ❤️
There’s a pho restaurant where I live called phoEver

Licorice taste is star anise
Grew up near by a Pho-King restaurant 😂😂😂
I love you 😂 the snoop one was the best
I feel like even tho technically the noodles were separate from the broth because the broth was hot it cooked the noodles more... Which is why its better to fully separate them..
Oooooh noooo the noodles should have substance to them not soggy! Place I go to always makes the noodles for transport a lil undercooked so when I add them to the broth they finish cooking
There’s a place here called Pho Kim Long, I kid you not.
BWAHAHAHA..."noodle cadaver" ....had me bustin' up. You are so good at what you do Ashley. I do enjoy your reviews....and you are Sooo pretty
That does look real amazingly delicious 😋 I do agree about noodle texture. I love the look of the spicy pho. If I were you I would order the pho 🍜 with no noodles & make your own at home 😅
You could tell before you even said anything about the noodles, that they were soggy.
😂😂😂 she cracks me UP!
If you had it at the restaurant probably the noodles would not be over cooked. The steam in the containers probably made then overdone.
Thanks for eating Vietnamese food!!!! You gotta try more on our menu than pho or BBH!!
You did great! Thank you.
U was suppose to put hoisdon sauce, Sriracha and chili oil
Squeeze the limes, not dump into the soup..
The noodles are not supposed to be mushy.
Typically pho doesn't do take out well. I would suggest eating in person!
Should have added the sauce and condiments to the first one
One time I took a vacation to Bryan, Ohio. I loved it. Quiet small town with a town square. Anyways, I went to a Toledo Mudhens game. Ohio is beautiful.
You were made for youtube. You’re So funny and warm.
I thought you lived in Alabama. Ohio.. alright. Happy Holidays 🎄🎊😎💕
You are smelling the star anise in the pho 🍲
That's what I came to say.
Overcooked noodles suck from anywhere and if the noods are not right then it nothing about it is right right?
Ashley you gotta try a bahn mi with grilled chicken and no pate it’s way better I don’t like that pate either
I've never had a pho with chewy meat. That would be so hard to eat! Juggling the meat, the noodles, and the broth, while chew chew chewing the beef 😂
I love Vietnamese food! ♡
Ashley!!!!!...where did you get that carrier...OMLanta....I want to get one of those....Thanks chicky
Ashley, your comments are hilarious! 😂🤣💯🔥💣🥰
It must have been too long a drive. The broth should be steaming and the noodles should be al dente. Plus pho needs the veggies, some lime, fresh basil, and some spiced oil for flavor.
What da Pho!!😂
I was dying😂😂
Yasss condensed milk in coffee ftw!
Star anise in some pho and it is like licorice. “What the Pho” all over Seattle. Unfortunately not the best pho there.
The place near me is called “pho 99”
Minneapolis? I love that place but my favorite Pho broth is from Bona.
Minneapolis? I love that place but my absolute favorite Pho broth is from Bona.
Vietnamese food especially pho is never good for take out. You should try it at the restaurant next time.
Forget about it 😂 I love u so much
Love you so much 😂❤😊
I've never had the pate' paste on my Banh Mi. I love the pickled vegetables.
