- Time for another upgrade for the Redcat Gen8 V2. I'm putting a Spektrum Firma Sensored Brushless ESC and 1400KV Motor in it to give it some extra smooth power. The install is easy and the ability to change ESC Setting from the remot is amazing. I've put some affiliate links below to the items used or discussed in this video.

Great install. Thanks for sharing đ€
Truck looks so fun!
Amazing my friend đ
Thatâs a awesome interior I like that
It fit in so nicely
Great video !! Question I have a 16lbs TRX6 can this combo take all that weight ?? Mostly trailing and some light crawling? Thank you !!
Could you post a link for the RC Voo Doo printed interior? I tried searching for it and was only able to find an Ebay store for (maybe) them with exactly zero items for sale and a notice that they're out of town until December.
That should beef it up some.i didn't see any performance issues with your Gen 8 at USTE.nice Tony!
It ran pretty great there. Really enjoyable.
What are those tires? Iâve been looking around for a good set for my trail walker
These are the stock Gen8 V2 tires. I would recommend JConcepts Landmines. I had bought them to put on this, but put them on my Vanquish and really like them
Thank you Iâve been looking for a good month trying to find some tires
I just installed the same combo but 2100kv. However the motor supposed to be loud with a screeching sound
No. The fan is pretty loud, but the motor should be pretty quiet
Here in Utah the fans are necessary
On your crawlers too?
@@CCxRC yeah 100+ temps and dry as mummy dust
The poor RGT is not getting a look in against this and the SCX10! Poor thing haha
Where's the running footage?
I actually just shot some footage of it this weekend. We happened to move right after this and everything had to be packed up. I had kept it out hoping to get a run it and wasn't able to. The footage I got of it wasn't great as I was crawling with my boys and trying to watch them and give them tips on their lines. We had also run the new Infraction....so we had been there a while and got cold...so we didn't crawl long. I will say, it is very smooth. Glad I didn't plug in the loud fan. I'll work on getting a good shot of it this week at an indoor course.
@@CCxRC ahhh i see. Awesome! Can't wait to see it!
