I am definitely buying a 2023 Sentra!
The 2022 version SAVED MY LIFE!!!
I had a bad car crash and the Sentra did it job, airbags worked as designed, and with Apple car play, it automatically called 911 for me. With all the safety measures and features in the Sentra I would definitely recommend it!
Sameeee
One of the few cars that are NOT overpriced.
are corollas overpriced?
You'll pay a few years down the road when the weak CVT craps out.
@@boggy7665Not necessarily you copy and paste this 2017 recall already.
For the price Nissan doesn't think it needs more power.
@@vvvvel Has the basic design of the crappy CVT changed? No? I stand by my remark.
Wish more reviewers would review the base models so we can really see what we’re getting if it’s underneath 20k instead of the 25k one in the video.
Nobody wants base models.
@@cgmiddle just bought a base versa. Why pay 2k more for a few buttons
@@cgmiddle Who entitled you to speak for others? Rephrase your comment as a question and it will be civilized and intelligent.
@@MrStrutus Right. When I'm in the driver's seat, I'm driving. Not fiddling with an overcomplicated "entertainment center", not yapping on the phone.
@@cgmiddle Base models have much of the equipment that was reserved for luxury models in years gone by. Standard a/c, automatic transmission, power windows, engines that achieve 10 sec to 60 mph or faster... that was luxury stuff not that long ago.
2022 nissan sentra SV premium totaled with only 600 miles on it. I negotiated the price to 23k, and to my surprise my insurance paid me 32k for the car haha. AND I bought the car when nothing was available. Nissan did great with this car.
It’s sooooooo good looking!!! Damn! That thing is more beautiful than any other brand new car on the market, PERIOD! I will get one for my next car.❤😍🥰😘😎👍
Nissan really stepped it up w the Sentra this year
around $30000 up here in canada...... base model starts at $25000......one of the nicest looking cars out there.
I just got a 23 SR Premium about a month ago, glad I got the SR Premium over the midnight. I think mine is pretty much the most load one you can get unbeknownst to me when I bought it. Heated seats, steering wheel, all tech, Bose 8 speaker, sunroof and everything else. Love the SR Premium 18" wheels with the silver rather than black.
Hope to be able to do a review of mine here in the next week or so. It's my first real "new car" for me in 12 years so still have the new car excitement. ;-)
These are the types of reviews I really appreciate and enjoy as a car salesman myself. Gives me a great rundown of the product I’ll be selling this year
Just bought an S last night, I will get it in July and will leave a review. I currently drive a well equipped 2018 Mazda 3 sedan which I bought new in July 2019. I’m not expecting the basic trim Sentra to be as good as my sporty little Mazda, but we’ll see. Love the review!
I’ve had the car for almost a week and LOVE IT!! Definitely well equipped for the base model and super fun to drive.
Man, you give the best car reviews.
Gold Pony looks and sounds just like my friend 😂😆 and his reviews are great. Love how he always begins with the most important thing - pricing!
Appreciate it! 🙏
You have such a great friend then!
Do you think this car or the Elantra SEL with convenience package is a better value?
@@LessontobeI wouldn't consider Elantra because the styling is way over done imo.
@@wilchambers1401 I think the design is one that strongly appeals to quite a few people and others strongly feel it is over done.
Your reviews might be the best out there. Thanks for the content!
Decent amount of bang for your buck and man what a good looking little car 👌
Nissan for life
I'm driving a 2020 SR - and it has the full 4 camera system (birds eye top down plus forward, rear, and parking assist camera views - all handy for parking lots). Because it has a windshield camera (and radar for the adaptive cruise) for the Forward Emergency Braking - it also shares the windshield camera with the computer to read and display speed signs...
The BOSE stereo with 8 speakers sounds great - lots of bass and loud.
It's a little under powered, but runs the highway up to 115 MPH (nevermind.. i was chasing a BMW that passed me and hit me with debris) very comfortably.
The brakes are good. You have to watch the adaptive cruise though because it can abuse your brakes on hilly terrain trying to maintain the set speed. You also have to watch the FEB in weather - it can trigger unexpectedly and brake (there is an option once you are running to shut it off until the next start).
It's only got about 26,000 miles on it now, and Nissan is making offers to get it back - but I am still having fun with this car...
How much was the car was out of the price ??
@@davidguarin358 New? in 2020 I paid 28 I think. Might have been higher.I don't remember...
I just traded it in for a Kicks.
That's Canadian pesos....
@@dieselbaby Used cars are in demand. they want to upsell...they offered me a full payout on my loan (more than the car was worth) to go with a Rogue Platinum Edition because they know they can sell the car at a premium.
How is it holding up? Any major issues?
Oh lord, as a car salesman I can already see the people breaking down my doors to get in one of these, and I can not blame them, it’s incredible lol
Nissan does a good job at making you pay for what you get. The versa is very affordable but is plastic-ridden and clunky. The Sentra is more roomy and comfy, but you’re still feeling the bumpiness of the compact car. Imo if you’re gonna get a Nissan you should just get an Altima, they ride like clouds
What's a compact car that drives like an altima?
My buddy that is a salesman at the Nissan dealership in town told me that the Altima is definitely a step up from the Sentra.
@@barnes80 it absolutely is. The ride quality is awesome.
They also cost cut more on their cars than their competitors.
And with that crap CVT that is not a good thing.
@@tom11zz884 I’ve been in a lot of new Nissan CVTs… they are so much better than the past CVTs. They don’t feel confused when you drive them. A lot more linear and powerful.
I brought my 3rd car from Nissan, the Stanza in 1983, the Altima in 2007, and now the 2023 Sentra SV, I pick it up 5/13, need I say more about Nissan, I love their cars, this Sentra is out of sight ❤️ it rides good, plenty of room for my 6ft frame, sound system is nice 🎶
That's great you love it. Thinking of getting one.
Btw, the guy said the entertainment system doesn't come with wireless connectivity. Did he mean Bluetooth!?
@jdavidp66 no it has bluetooth je meant android auto & apple carplay (wireless)
@@jdavidp66 get one , you won't regret, I used my phone to play my music with Bluetooth 🎶
Woah I only had two Nissan cars the one I currently drive a 2014 Versa and a 1992 stanza….maybe I should get a Sentra too
@@RaptureHead1993The only thing that holds me back is how slow it is because looks wise it beats all the rest in the class imo.
I have a 22 sr with ALL optional features (black wheels, bose, heated seats and wheel, moon roof, cargo net, bag hooks, paint protection, door sill plates, dual tone paint, homelink mirror...) it was 28.5k msrp but sat on the lot for 2 months Nov/Dec(I drove by it for my commute) I went in, in January saying it’s last year model I can get an altima for the price(but with less options lol) bla bla bla ...I will take it now if you're willing to sell it to me at 26k left with a 26k.4 selling price 😋I let them negotiate 400usd 😁
I literally raced over to CZcams the moment I saw the starting price, that’s insanity!!
Took my 2023 home yesterday. I love it!
Awesome car! Congrats! 👏
Did they fix the faulty transmission
Perfect review & great Sentra.
I have tested the ECO and Sport buttons on my 2015, and they don't seem to do anything for mileage. Actually in ECO, I got 30 miles LESS from a tank of gas, doing the same city driving, than without. I didn't test the Sport for as long, because I felt no difference in the driving power, so couldn't imagine it doing anything.
There is no cars currently in the market under 20k. Even the Versa cost more than 20k. Ask your local dealers around and they will tell you how much a 2023 Nissan Sentra SV cost. $25-27k plus tax and license and you'll end up buying it almost 30k otd.
Needs a turbo Nismo version
Buy the Altima if you want a turbo, the Sentra needs a hybrid model.......
already did for the previous gen... didn't sell that well sadly so they didn't bother to make another one
@@HNRichard well cause the previous gen looked like cheap garbage lol this gen looks amazing but it's too weak
@@crow_2k11beatsbydre8 Altima's too big and I'd want a hybrid Sentra too but it looks like neither a turbo or hybrid Sentra is happening
@@HNRichardWondered why Nissan Sentra didn't have one so that makes since.
it’s really nice for the price and doesn’t feel like it’s only 20 k
Two months ago today! Planning to get it!
You make great videos thats why you got me to buy a new Hyundai Elantra
God how I wished Nissan made this a RWD so we could have a modern Silvia.
was this recorded in frederick md i know that’s a weird question but i swear i saw you drive in an intersection i recognize lol
would it be a problem not having AWD and 5inch of ground clearance in extreme Alberta winters?
Did much change from the 22’. I just got my 23 sv today and see sites across the board not showing any hitch options for the 23’. I’m tempted to buy a 22’ setup and see if it lines up. Transmissions change? My intent is a hitch mounted bike carrier and a small 4x4 harbor freight trailer with a dirt bike
This car is so sharp but I hate that it’s weak as heck. It needs a bigger motor option or a turbo. Also the option for a traditional automatic or a manual would be great.
I drive one and it's not weak.
Just bought a sv and it has a lot of road noise. Some road noise is an understatement. Higher speeds don’t give a smooth ride either.
Boy if it was a manual transmission I would buy it right now
Your rap intros are underated😊
I have got new a car Nissan Sentra sr cVT
We signed for one but after all the fees etc it was like $27k for the base model
Ouch
Is it good on gas
Averaging 7.0L/100km (33.6 miles per US gallon) since I got mine. But I don't drive fast. Good for my wallet, brakes etc.
I bought this car Nissan Sentra SR ❤️
How bo BGVRP for my iPad 8 bro good bey bro have. Aogod dya
You're awesome!!!!❤
Where do they sell new Sentras for under $20k? I will buy everyone of them
you can go and buy that bottom level trim that comes in manual, smaller infotainment screen, different computer programming, different speedometer screen, no heated seats/steering wheel, no alloy wheels instead u get dogshit 15inch plastics wheels caps, no spoiler, no side skirts, no exhaust tip, just pray u don’t live anywhere that it gets cold cus ur gonna turn into an icicle
The dealer invoice for a base Sentra is $20,467.00 to $21,000.00 plus. I would love to know where to find a New Sentra for under 20k
@@thesalsarobot2205Got to do your best to wheel and deal.
Why does it have the old logo
Because they're in no rush to update a cheap, subcompact car.
because it hasn’t been remodeled it’s been the same body style since 2020, all the nissan’s that have the new logo all have got body remodels. the sentra is getting a remodel once again in 2024
@@ProjectPetx your right, 2024 model will get the new badge........
Does the Nissan 2023 S come with a hitch to pull trailers?
Do you have a recommendation between: sentra/civic/corolla?
Dis they fix the transmission problems
How bo BGVRP for my iapd 8 bro godo bey rbi ahve. Aogod dya
Does some come with the seat warmers?
Hey gold pony should I buy the 23 Sentra or 23 Elantra?
I got the 23 Sentra SR
The 23 Sentra doesn’t disappoint
@@wbeard358 what’s up bro! The best bang for your buck!
Does it have heated front seats?
How much was the car
Still a good sedan for teenagers to buy one.
Take the badges off, and the Sentra looks the second best after the Civic.
While there are a couple dealers sticking at/around MSRP (SF Bay), I'm seeing a few dealers trying to charge $27-$28K for an SR smh.
Compact Car market is still a bit rough right now in June '23.
I'm looking into getting a 2019 Nissan Sentra for $16, 798 with 60,000 miles does that sound good to you? And it's from Enterprise Rental . Is that a bad idea because I know rentals can be driven hard. May I get your expert opinion please thank you!
Very bad idea, never buy a rental and specifically not a Nissan with a CVT transmission.
@@drewski1441 well when I went there today they said most cars sold everywhere are from rentals . The cars at dealerships are rentals . Supposably what they said I didn't buy it but thank you for the advice!
Did you get the car? I plan on getting one from enterprise
I wonder if you can get a manual trans in it? Sure looks good.
Unfortunately no but u can on the versa base trim and that starts at $15.8K!
Nope..go try the Versa...it has it
don’t listen to these goofs. there’s literally a Manual model for both base and SR models.
@@ProjectPetx No there isn't lmfao check Nissans website
@@ProjectPetx they stopped in 2021 it’s not longer available on 2022/23 models
❤
someone with money needs to stick an m139 in this
Nissan and Infiniti has their styling down….like Hyundai/KIA, they must have hired some German designers….
Boy, in a category where Toyota and Honda rule, no one should be shy to drive a Sentra. Or an Altima - the 2024 looks gorgeous.
Misleading review , you will not buy any new Sentra for under 20k or under 25k ,most reviewers are biased , it’s all a numbers game , 100k views even if they get 10% of the viewers to a dealership it’s all about the money 🤣everyone gets paid except the sucker that buys
I thought I wanted one but don’t want to be lumped in with the losers towing trailers with a sedan 2wd 4 cylinder.
149 hp? 😅 they need to put the new turbo 3 cyl. In this.
I drive one and there's enough power. Plus with small displacement engines with turbos you are likely to run into serious long term and costly problems.
Why does consumer reports rate this car so low? Owner satisfaction over 3, 5, and 10 years was TERRIBLE.
this new Sentra desperately needs a turbo version as an option.......149 hp is fine on lower end but not as price goes up
my thoughts aswell😆would have thought a SR sport model would actually add SPORT upgrades and not just cosmetics bullsht that weighs the car down
@@ProjectPetx I had a 93 SE-R . Always wondered why Nissan never bothered to bring out a new version for 21,22,23, 24?
#Nissan just add *LED lighting* in the TAILLIGHTS ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I have a 2013 Sentra it has them!
@@vincentkosik403 right!? Isn’t that crazy they got rid of them?
@minipandora22 LED lighting is most important up front not so much in the back.
@@wilchambers1401 true, but when people are behind you at a stoplight it just makes the car appear “newer” and more up to date.
@@minipandora22 You can take out the incandescent bulbs and replace them with LEDS
Front driver and passenger seats are awful for long distance driving. Thankfully, we only rented this car and didnt purchase one.
Sorry, but I got a SR Premium, I'm 6'2" and the front seats are GREAT. If there's one thing that Nissan does right, it's seats.
Yeah with the transmissions problems Nissan had I say NO thanks!! Maybe in another 10 years or so.
HELLO GOOD PEOPLE I JUST GOT APPROVED FOR A SMALL DECENT CAR LOAN MY OPTIONS ARE THIS SENRTA CIVIC COROLLA KIA SOUL OR FORTE OR ELANTRA HELP WHATS YOUR OPINION THANK YOU👍
Corolla S or Civic, they're really nice too, but I like the Corolla S in particular cuz they look sporty with the dual chrome exhaust pipes, I would however def stay away from the Kia's & Nissan's...Cheers!
@@gregholman2930 none, get a Mazda 3
@@gregholman2930 thanks my friend for the tip
Go for the Civic.
Best overall quality for the money ? Sentra.
Steering sucks. "Handles well" = handles poorly and is a chore to drive. Steering is overly heavy, slow, no play at higher speeds. 👎
Driving position is too low. Suspension needs to be softer. Lower part of dash intrudes on your leg room (it's very low).
Ugh, CVT.
Idk...right off the bat it looks boring to me. To me, Nissans attention was elsewhere with the agreement in the boardroom that theyll leave the upscale examples like Mazda have that space and theyll just be there for the folks with lower requirements.
Nissan copying acura's Integra how sad
The SV isn’t that much different but the seats ugly
Slow af
bro wants 600hp
They double down on CVT. Nissan doesn’t want to be successful.
i have the 2022 sr i bought new. its an absolute turd i hate it. the trans is awful. the radio is awful. the eco mode does nothing but tells you how much throttle to give it. the rear brakes wore out before 10k miles. it rides ok. the steering gets so tight at highway speeds it makes your arms tired. i wish i hadnt bought it. getting ready to trade it back in an only has 20k miles. the head lights suck too. do not recommend buying on.
You sound like you don't have one because I have 2 of these vehicles that are SR and I haven't had any issues with them.. A 2022 and a 2023 that I brought last month ..
The headlights are better than the Corolla and the steering feels better than both the civic and Corolla a

@@sleeping7003 i do so i can keep the warranty, just hoping at this point the trans dont go out. didnt learn until after i bought it nissan has a hand full of lawsuits on them about the cvt trans..

Nice car. Junk transmissions. Uh-oh, it's got a JatCo.
Currently loving my 23’ Sentra SV. Fully Loaded with a luxury Peanut Butter Interior. Got all the windows 15% and a full front windshield 35%.
Solid vehicle, spacious, comfy seats, not too quick on take off, but has a nice and powerful 2.0 engine. I always get compliments on it.
save some money for when the cvt transmission needs to get replaced at 27k miles
@@sanjaypersaud9695 you mf’s must drive them like racecars just to replace the transmission at 27k. This is the 4th Sentra I’ve ever owned and I never had a problem 😢 they’re such reliable cars.
Also since it’s under 30k you shoulda got it replaced for free pretty much. Ya know, warranty and all??
