I have a '13 Sentra SR that's going on 130k miles. So far she's been great other than constant brake replacement. I do mostly highway driving too. CVT fluid changes every 25k to 30k.
thats one of the awesome cars I was referring too
Keep that cvt fluid changed and you good to go
130k, still like when it was used at 22k. Just remember to do both filters. Paper and screen w/ NS-3.

There’s nothing wrong with the car. It was sculpted in heaven.
by Zeus himself
@@carsunlocked By Zeus himself!!💯💯He built it for Mercury, but Mercury went to Ford instead.🤭
I am getting my sentra 2024 SV next month. Looks a great car !!!
wow incredible congrats
I bought a 2023 Nissan Sentra SR (No Premium or Midnight Package) at the start of this summer. It is a great car for the money. Is it fast? No, but it will get you where you need to go and it will do so safely. The SR trim comes with a lot of safety features. The materials inside and out look good and fit well. I recommend getting tinted windows, rubber floor mats, and seat covers to protect the cloth seats. I regret not getting the Midnight Package, but adding the factory gloss black wheels is only like $600 dollars for all 4, excluding labor. Also, keep your car clean!
Edit: While a faster nismo version would be nice, it would cost more. Ultimately, if you are going to spend more on a Sentra just look for a different car that is faster. Or, you could always void the warranty and add some aftermarket parts. I hope to make my car a little faster once the warranty is up. Different wheels, exhaust, and a muffler delete ought to do the trick.
thanks for watching great insight and I have to agree with you
I just got a Nissan Sentra SV. This is my 5th new Sentra. Never had any issues. The transmission is very strong and smooth shifting. If you change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles you should have no issues. Most of the transmission problems is because people do not get the transmission fluid changed. It is funny/dumb that people think the transmission fluid is good for the life of the car. Most of your complaints are just silly.
thanks for watching ! glad you are enjoying your sentra/sentras!
It's a $20,000 car. You are expecting this car to perform like It's $40,000 car. Ridiculous review!
should have high expectations when spending that kind of money
I got a midnight edition. It was much more than 20,000 😂
Unless you own one don't knock it
@carsunlocked you asshole..it’s a $20k car..
Picked up one a few weeks ago. The color and price were just to hard to resist. Loving it so far! 😁
thats great thanks for watching!
Those things you hate are not bad things, it just matter of opinion. Most people buy these subcompact vehicles to commute, save gas, and lots of safety feature. Other subcompact does not offer all the safety feature on this class of vehicle.
certainly an opinionated video just sharing my mind
I like to commit on your reviews. Drove many cars and I find that Nissan Sentra are my favorite. That all I can say.
We appreciate you commenting!!!
I know this car is not for everyone. I’m all about the modding culture, and I’m widely accepted with the car I have right now, currently the SV trim. Those who are out there only needing a commute car are going to be disappointed with the results they may get with the system’s powerband. I’m ok with that myself, I know what I’m going to be doing with this car once time goes on. Great video, man explained this to the world who needs a car at a rough time for a rough era.
thanks so much for watching coolguy. I hope to one day be as cool as you
Just got my 2023 Nissan Sentra last week. It is a nice car. Got out of the Elantra. Lost autopilot, the auto hold feature with this car. But, it's a great car. The driving is similar between the two. The horsepower is the same. Hate the foot parking break. At least they could of put the hand break. Don't mind the hard plastics, you find in every car under 30k or so. I did get a heated steering wheel on the Sentra, didn't have on the 2021 Elantra, it wasn't and option on the Elantra I think even in the limited and I don't think it still is. So there are plus and minuses in each car.
thanks for watching great comparison
I just bought a 2020 SV. I like the interior a lot, looks good with the stitching and it appears well made. the outside is gorgeous. I think the engine and transmission are fine for daily driving. Steering has no play, yet is not twitchy either. the controls and infotainment are intuitive, the seats are great, and it has lots of safety tech. my only complaint is the back up camera is really low resolution. Not a big deal, if there's a blob behind you don't back into it!
the sensors make it a lot easier as well
All the guys doesn’t really know car complain about CVT. All the real engineer that work on car keep putting CVT to all compact sedan (specially if the engineer is 2L or less). So tell me why? Cost? Does the cost down enough cover the recall if CVT is so faulty?
just like everything in this world it all comes down to money
I just buy nissan sentra 1.6 facelift 2011 from malaysia ! 🇲🇾🇲🇾 Good to see your content 🔥🔥
thanks for watching my friend
I got the sv Sentra back exterior with peanut butter insides I like it a lot it makes it feel like luxury compared to the black interior
thanks for watching great colour chouce
I have a 2015 Sentra, base model (only got speakers in the front, none in the back lol), love the comfort and the roominess in the car. it's just that it's revving too high and not changing the gears until i let go of the accelerator a bit. Also, the constant issues with spark plugs 😅
I have the 1.6 petrol and i think the power is good enough for a family saloon
Overall, it's got issues and some good things as well but I'm happy with my first ever car purchase 🔥🔥
thanks for watching great insight
Price point. It's a commuter vehicle or Uber. A warranty is a big thing to budget buyers.
thanks so much for watching
Nismo or rebirthed SE-R would be golden for this car! It's lines and design are amazing! Just lacking a performance variant! Thanks for the review!
couldnt agree more thanks for watching!
The refreshed 24’ goes on sale in mid September.
im excited!!!!
Very handsome presenter. I approve.
thanks so much
I'm averaging 42 MPG in my Versa. Pretty darn good. 😃
thats realll darn good
@@carsunlocked Certainly can't warrant getting an EV for a while. But I'm Ok with that. 🥰
@@sallyjb6209 I drive with a light foot, 70/30 Hwy/local roads, and yes never over 65. There are times I get over 50 MPG on my way to work (instant reading for that specific travel). By car is lighter and has a smaller engine than your Sentra too. 😃
CVT, Not a question of IF but WHEN it will fail. 2024 has a new update CVT but we will see. doubt it will last past 250K though. That's coming from the engineers that design it!
thanks for the insight but i dont believe you
Turbo with a tradition AT or MT, and this car would sell like hotcakes. 😍
i think so too
@@carsunlocked 😃
This Sentra has evolved or devolved in your case since you only point to "speed" features it lost over the years. Sentra has always been a family car and truly an entry level compact. Go for Genesis or Infiniti if you're so hooked on a sport cars. I was expecting you would mention about too much road noise, too small tires, no sunroof or old teh entertainement in your dislikes. Hmmm not different from all auto reviewers who only talk about power, speed and 0-60 in nanoseconds that woulkd make them happy. But I like your videos anyway. Guess cause you truly seems honest.
i appreciate the honest feedback thanks so much for watching
@@carsunlocked One million Mercis for you great understanding. Whatever the outcome of your reviews, you're still the best one out there. Hope I was not bullying here.
Love that watch you're wearing! Where'd you get it?
Thanks its a full wooden watch i got it in Greece while vacationing
@@carsunlocked Aww...nice! Love it.
I dislike the CVT. This SR Midnight Edition is very stylish and works well with your new haircut. ✂
Nissan's CVT is the best CVT in the world.
hope your doing well Galen
I wasn't going to mention the CVT transmission ... much .... 😁
it had to be mentioned
Do you still work for Nissan? Wouldn’t think you’d be able to speak negatively if you worked for them.
yes I do work for them and this channel is completely separate . The Sentra is an awesome car but there is always room for improvement
Your upper body though 👌🏼
thanks so much
Nice design, hey dont last very long. Honda and toyota corolla are better options
Thanks for watching
M gonna sales ur cars soon
I will land to usa
great check out my carsunlockedacademy.com programs for expert sales training
Great Uber
It certainly is
I disagree my plastic Camaro was fast but was terrible.
thanks for watching
You can't bitch about the transmission then rave about the fuel economy.....they go hand in hand
I can do what ever I want
@@carsunlocked that's why you suck.
