2013 Ford focus titanium drives, but no reverse. Also leaked transmission fluid all over the ground! I read a clutch fracture could damage the transmission assembly and cause a fluid leak. Have you seen similar? Is a damaged assembly repairabe? I'm using this as an opportunity to learn a bit about transmission repair, plan to pull it in the next few weeks thanks to your videos!
Hi! I think you should drain the transmission fluid into a pan and check for chunks of metal, if ok then identify and fix the leak

What style puller or method would you recommend for the output bearings? The single bearing with no snap ring seems easy enough to grab with a 3 jaw puller and an adapter for the forcing screw. But the other two have next to no clearance underneath.
If I recall right, I just pried up on the bearing and hit the center of shaft it's pressed on

Are all 3 of the output shaft bearings the same or is the one with the oil pick up different?

Good afternoon! I’ve been watching all you videos related to this transmission, my focus is having P287B and P2832, and it is lazy taking off and doesn’t shift the greatest unless you use the hill assist button. Occasionally it won’t move at all you let it sit or restart it works again. Any direction you can point me in? I have a wrecked parts car I can pull parts from. Thank you for any leads!!
Hi! Thanks for watching. If your shift drum stops are good, that's a bad tcm. Since the car moves, I bet it's the tcm
Thank you for the information! Greatly appreciate it, on startup you can hear motors like whirring or cycling in the transmission. I’ll have to swap tcm’s and see what it does
Hello.. I have a 2017 ford focus se. When I do the learning, it gives the error in the travel test, I changed the Clutch again and it still shows that error at the time of learning. What do you think the problem is?
Did you replace the forks too? If so it may be a sticking clutch actuator motor
Hello i have a 2013 fiesta 1.0l ecoboost with the dps6 transmission and everything is so far fine with the transmission but i do have a slight scraping sound while driving and it is definitely coming from the transmission. that sound disappears when driving and shifting it into neutral at a higher speed I'm trying to gather some information before taking it in to maybe have it fixed i would be grateful for any information and as far i been informed that it may be a baring for the gears that might be damaged thanks
Hi, it could be an output shaft bearing. If it's not super loud I wouldn't worry too much until there's a clutch failure
@@BigBensCarsAndCycles thank you .that sound didn't even annoy me until i had that wetbelt swapped at the beginning of this year by ford and they noticed that something doesn't sound right. it's not to loud and actually by having my window slightly open i can barely hear it but it does make me slightly worried since the wetbelt swap was quite expensive and i wouldn't like the Idea that i had that job done to then have the transmission fail
Hey Ben, I finally got a SHORT VIDEO of that NOISE I was asking you about. If you type into the search, (2022 F-150 Noise backing up), you should be able to find it, It's my RED F-150 Backing into my driveway scroll down a ways, You will need to Scan forward a bit to get my Truck to show up 😬 and go from there (around the 45 Second Mark)...., You can Play it back a Few times (HAVE THE VOLUME TURNED UP). You'll hear it. And it is doing it regularly now. I don't know what this noise is? If you or Anyone has any Ideas?? My Video hasn't gotten much attention (Due to my Not Knowing how to do this stuff). Thanks Ben.
Pop.. typical Ford noises. Might be a u joint or something with the pinion flange, there was an old tsb on that. Or loose driveshaft bolts at the rear diff flange
Ok, Thanks Ben. Appreciate your Response and help. I was wondering about the Drive Shaft Bolts a while back, you sent out the Part # for that Special Socket and I did buy one. I have yet to get Underneath the Beast. Remember..... They Replace my Tranny in Nov/Dec2023. Dang, I shudda gotten under there and Checked the Bolts and I have Not. Thanks again.
