This is one of the best sculpting tutorials for beginners I have seen. So thorough and well narrated. Thank you for the great content!
Thanks juhani! I'm glad it helped!
I like your style. Very clean with good results. Easy to follow and reproduce.
Thanks Binyamin!

Thanks man! Thanks for always checking in and saying something nice haha, you are really good person for the Blender community.
This is what I need!
Nice! I'm glad it helps!
Thanks for such very good tutorials.
Yeah no worries, I'm glad they might help!
This is so helpful such a great tutorial
Thanks Landen! I'm glad it helped!
Very nice! 👏🏼👍🏼
Thanks!
You know, some might tend to think of the matter of combining different meshes as something that's a little out of the ordinary, but in reality, it better mirrors the way that new pieces of the medium being used are added over the course of the process of sculpting something physically and the sculpt would be very limited and lacking otherwise.
Yeah it's true, when I started out it wasn't immediately the obvious approach, but once you play around in the space, it's such a powerful method I couldn't imagine going without it!
@@RussellMidfield And thank you very much for doing the tutorial!
Yeah no worries, I'm glad if it helped you along your journey!
Thank u so much
Yeah no worries Jyotshna!
Thanks for sharing!!
Yeah no worries, I'm glad if it helped you!
absolutely amazing. every tutorial here is a bless. I wonder if you can make a tutorial about how to make a good blueprint for reference. envolving anatomy and all these interesting stuff
Thanks! Oh that's a good idea I started on one but never finished it, you've inspired me to!
@@RussellMidfield and you've inspired me to learn blender since your tutorials are far better than any that I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
That's awesome! I'm happy to hear that! It's why I make them! 😀
❤❤❤❤
Haha thanks man! Much love!
What tablet are you using? Bought a Wacom creative display and the display screen is too dark.
I'm using a Huion Kamvas 20, it's been pretty good for me, no major issues. The pen isnt very well made though, the internals have a tendency to break easily. I was able to fix mine without too much trouble but it is something to be aware of when going Huion.
What Brush settings (stroke, falloff) and view settings are you using? I also am intrested in your workflow as I see a backup collection. I know I am now using 2.92, and can not seem to get the same stroke or view of the detail as you are. Great Tutorial I am really enjoying it.
Thanks man! Stroke and falloff on all the brushes I believe we're largely default, I don't recall making any significant changes. Hmm, could be the voxel size needs to be lowered to increase the resolution. This will give you more detail. Yeah I always have a collection I call Backup where I sometimes put duplicates of objects before applying modifiers, that way just in case anything goes sideways I have a soft save point if you will. Thanks again, I'm glad it helped!
@@RussellMidfield yeah they have been changing the defaults with the new updates. X symmetry seems like it is default off now. I changed my Falloff to constant and now my brush strokes seem similar to yours. Thanks for the feedback
Oh interesting, didn't know that! Oh nice that's good. No worries!
How is ur clay strips brush so smooth and subtle even at stength of 1? mine forms wierd squares that look ugly
Try making the voxel size smaller and then remeshing again. I get the smoothness through having a really low voxel size.
@@RussellMidfield ahh i see.
Hey, thanks for the awesome tutorial ! Could you please put a link to download the reference image?
Oh right, sorry, I keep forgetting! It's here: www.dropbox.com/sh/wxpesiwhnrgyrp0/AAC3Tr2J1dinKwf3GdRS6yMga?dl=0
@@RussellMidfield Thank you very much!
Yeah no worries Gayan!
Wasn't expecting 11 lol😂
Haha lol! 😅 had to throw it in there haha!
@@RussellMidfield :D
i cant make head smooth like you did when i do it to me it looks pixelated
You have to lower your voxel size more!
@@RussellMidfield ok i just need to be careful not to crash blender
It's true haha I have done it accidentally many times!
@@RussellMidfield one time i made made a xbox controller and i accidentally subdivide it and blender crashed and I didn't save it so i started all over again
Haha lol me too
See like why couldn't you do this tutorial with a body as well
I could! And I will actually!
