Great tutorial. If I have a 3rd party license provider that uses webhooks on order confirmation and emails the person the license key when purchased, will recharge work? My concern is when a customer cancels, can recharge send that notification using webhooks to cancel the license?

You would have to use the Recharge API to handle that use-case, but it's doable. You can either make a webhook or do a custom API integration with some extra checks/validations. We recommend doing the latter so you can ensure the cancellations are properly logged.

Hey! Can I set up a subscription service without linking a product? I’d like to send a random item once per month:)

You need something to be purchased as the recurring item. This could be a generic product/title and then you send whatever you want. Might be tough to keep track of inventory that way but it could be done.

All net new customers have to go through the Shopify checkout as the initial payment token creation needs to be created during the Shopify Checkout.
