Who was JoyBoy? What are the Ancient Weapons? What happened in the Void Century? What is the One Piece? The answer to all of these questions may be found in the distant, forgotten past. In today's video, we're going to uncover the identity of the central figure from the Void Century believed to have left One Piece behind on the Final Island Laugh Tale. Ever since, Pirates from around the world have been sailing toward the End of the Sea in pursuit of dreams greater than they ever dared to imagine. JoyBoy's will was passed down to Roger and now to Luffy. With Nika's awakening, 'JoyBoy has returned', and it's almost time for Luffy to become the Pirate King by rediscovering One Piece and learning the True History of the World left behind by JoyBoy.
But who ... or what came before JoyBoy? Who created the One Piece? Who created the Grand Line itself? The mythological inspiration for the sea dragon, based on Ryujin or Watatsumi, may explain everything - including the true nature of the One Piece itself!

Love the theory! Maybe thats why one of the gorosei is considerably younger than the rest of them. Maybe the previous gorosei before him had the df and died on God Valley intervening the same way saturn is on egghead?

So Kanjuro's drawing Ryunosuke could have been the biggest spoiler all along, he was drawn to look like Momonosuke's dragon form and his name was a combination of Ryujin and Momo's names 😯

This is gonna be a long one. Haven't watched the video yet but so far i think we might have stumbled upon similar ideas. I'll write down my thought process and come back after watching to compare notes lol.
So basically I've been thinking about how the WG seems to have a fixation with certain devil fruits in particular and that led me down a rabbit hole. Law's fruit, Luffy's fruit, Kaido's fruit. My intuition tells me Kaido's fruit was stolen from the Celestial Dragons at God Valley and was seen as valuable to them for some reason. Since the other two fruits Imu bothers themself with have connections to the void century so i figured Kaido"s would too. A fruit held as some kind of trophy or treasure at the Valley of Gods because it once belonged to a defeated great rival from the void century (thus representing a kind of triumphant victory, fitting to have as a trophy for the champion of God valley) or it belonged to a martyr for the celestial dragons who probably would've made his mark during the void century. I think the former is more likely. And this previous user of the fruit might've been the Neptune of the void century. The father of the previous Poseidon and leader of fishman island. The naming of the fruit as a fish-fish fruit and the giant statue of a similar looking dragon at ryugu kingdom makes me bias to think theres a connection there but idk.

In one of the anime openings (from fishman island arc?) the redline is shown to be metal underneath the red rock and luffy’s gear third fist punches through it!
What if the ancient kingdom terraformed the planet and turned it into a pirate ship with an artificial sun at the center to power it and control the climate of the planet… the sun god nika might be the Klabauterman of the space ship earth who can reignite the sun engine just like merry could fix itself… and turn the planet back to its correct rotation when operational. So the poles will shift and turn the world upside down and reveal the submerged ancient kingdom … called the one piece ….the pirate king makes the entire world his ship and becomes the captain of the planet ship... roger left “everything this world has to offer” so what if the world as a space pirate ship offers endless adventure across the universe? Then it’ll will be revealed the redline and grand line are components of the ship engines and the reason for their magnetic craziness, and a hint why the flees line has been shown to be metal and why the giants de it as invincible because it’s made out of wapol metal or other alloys of the ancient kingdom.

11:47- if the W.G. was capable of making their own Devil Fruits, they wouldn’t have to go through unaffiliated channels to make the next best thing- the Five Elders would’ve made it a casual statement rather than a big deal.
I don't think the World Government can make them now; I don't really think we have enough evidence to say one way or the other if they were originally created by scientific or supernatural process as there's some evidence of both.
I just think they're tapped into their source / point of origin since people with means in the World Government seem to be more able to procure them.
The name William has a meaning. It means resolute protector. Considering he protects weaker pirates and protected Luffy, it fits.

I'm wondering if an Artificial Devil Fruit created by either Caesar or Vegapunk could be infused with the power of an *actual* Devil Fruit if is user dies near it, and if so, whenever the original power would still be transferred.
Like, if Law had a sudden stroke on Punk Hazard before Momo got there, could the Artificial Mythical Fish Fish Fruit: Model Dragon been turned into the Ope Ope Fruit, and if so, whether eating it would just give you the Ope Ope powers or make you a full blown pink dragon with Ope Ope powers? And if it's the latter case, then when Momo dies, would both of those abilities transfer over, and if so, would they become two separate fruit again or would they be permanently fused?
It just occured to me that Vegapunk should probably be able to replicate the Nika Fruit.
In my opinion the grand line and the voyage of it could be a metaphor for the world serpent and the ragnarok. Just an interesting thought. Traveling the grand line that circles the world would eventually lead to the battle that would lead to the downfall of the “gods” and lead to the dawn of a new world. I wouldn’t put it past Oda to include this reflection of the norse mythos in this way.

I’ll always remember Kaidos explanation to Yamato as of why he won’t leave the land of Wano was something along the lines of “because a it Wano!!”…if his fruit really was some sort of guardian Deity of Wano at some point in time, his will may have slightly aligned to match that of the fruit. Similar to why Yamato chose to stay at Wano last minute.
we know that lineage factor can pass down learned traits and personality now so it's possible that when Kaido ate the fruit he inherited the will of the dragon and the same with Yamato and their fruit.

That seems to track. I also think the story seems to be leading to Luffy destroying the part of the red line housing Marijoa (it would accomplish multiple goals as well as being the reason he was predicted to destroy fishman island one day which is located directly below), so I think he will metaphorically take the role of Thor in Ragnarok who kills Jörmubngundr by knocking off its head. Luffy has already been shown grabbing lightning in gear 5, so the parallel isn’t completely out of nowhere.
The idea that the sea and the devil or the devil fruits are in a kind of conflict that is not just there but has a certain reason is really interesting. That means it can be solved and devil fruit users some day might no longer be affected by the sea and might even profit from it. And as devil fruit are a product of peoples dreams and desires, some day everyone could be a fruit user.
The most interesting thing for me in that regard would be: what is the role of haki in all this? Is it originally a power for people keeping the world in balance so devil fruit users don't get out of control and can't harm people? Balance is a important concept all throughout one piece and people enforcing real justice might be called God's knights. It's all coming together.
Every force in the one piece world just lost track but they all have their role to play in the end.
I think devil fruits are the will/Haki of people in the past where their Haki was so strong it would change their own lineage factor like with sanji burning his leg without burning himself the fire devil fruit probably comes from the will of someone would burst into flames like sanji up until the point he would actually become fire

The strange thing about the Gomu Gomu / Nika fruit is that in its non awakened state, it truly does behave as a paramythia; It only takes on the properties of a zoan once awakened.
The Elders suggest the fruit was originally simply named the Hito Hito no Mi: Model Sun God Nika.
The World Government were the ones who decided to name the fruit the Gomu Gomu no mi to hide its true nature.
So, in that sense, the fruit was never really supposed to be called rubber, despite the powers it imparts to its wielder. Stretching is meant to metaphorically represent bringing people laughter / joy, stretching smiles across their faces.

Yeah, especially with the Sea Kings being sentient creatures - it would seem the calm belts were also intentionally created to protect the Grand Line on all sides - like walls around a kingdom. And the Sea Kings intentionally choose to inhabit the Calm Belts - likely for as long as the Grand Line has existed, since the creation of the Sea Circle (Grand Line) 1500 years ago.

Original Gods led indiscriminately. Thet destroyed King's land that what's his face from Skypeia was looking for - crushing it into the Red line. Humans rose up against them with their weapons. Current king set up the world government with their obsession with balance. The 5 always say it's important to keep balance between the government, Navy, and pirates. This may be the mandate from the king of the world so they don't destroy the whole thing. The black century was probably the struggle before the balance. This would cause a problem at the end of One Piece because having free people may lead to the imbalance that caused global war.
Not sure at the point I'm commenting I'm only about 20 minutes in but the fact that Momos last name has something to do with the moon and his df possibly being able to have sea powers when awakened seems intentional

That would explain the pretty glaring plot hole of not being able to kill himself, but idk I feel like a power as world shaking as a devil fruit not being rendered useless in water would be the awakened form of the fruit that neither user has reached yet. Maybe Momo will be able to awaken it and have a sea king form and there will be some narrative link between him and Shirihoshi?
So this is what I stated about WB. He didn't awaken the fruit. So WB fruit is the Earth God fruit. It makes sense that it would be. What other fruit moves the earth.............................. So BB will be the Earth God vs The Sun God. Imu who is the Sea Devil will fight either Dragon the Rain God or someone like Zoro. Or BB will sneak attack Imu then 1v1 luffy as zoro and team fight off BB crew.

Imu will be similar to WB. Oda has to many big bads in the show. Imu, BB. It is either a luffy BB fight of Imu fight that ends the series.
It is more likely luffy ends it by fighting BB. The reason for this is Luffy's dream. It isn't to beat Imu and free the world. It is to be the pirate king and bring the world together for a big party. Being the most free person. BB wants this also, but is doing it as the Earth God.
His form of freedom is by him controlling the earth, while luffy's form is by allowing everyone to control the earth.
Imu is just someone in the way of these 2. Why a luffy vs Imu fight would be boring. BB coming in at the end and taking out Imu seems like his character.

Interestingly, the narration boxes in ch 795 specify that Kaido was defeated 'seven times as a pirate'; In chapter 1049, we learned that Kaido indeed allowed himself to be captured intentionally when he was hungry during the years he was on the run (after he was ejected from the Vodka Kingdom, but before he joined Rocks). One important, but easily overlooked detail: When Kaido showed up on Fullalead at age 15, Whitebeard asked Kaido if he was interested in becoming a Pirate. Meaning, he hadn't yet sailed under the jolly roger until he joined Rocks.
The incidences of Kaido being intentionally captured took place before Kaido joined Rocks; before he became a Pirate.
This means Kaido's 'seven defeats as a pirate' came later, after joining Rocks at age 15. Which makes sense. Kaido was defeated 7 times (as a pirate), but captured 18 times (mostly before becoming a pirate).

Souls and dreams powered the ancient kingdoms. The holy tributes were human sacrifices similar to Skypeia, these “Souls” powered the mother flames and their advanced technology. JoyBoy freed the world of these sacrifices, and in turn removing the advanced technology from the world. The void century was done with a devil fruit to remove info about the advanced tech and tribute sacrifices powering the world in exchange for a more bloodless rule by the celestial dragons, an ignorance is bliss ending brought to the world by OG JoyBoy.

i think that the knowledge that seastones wards of seakings is a rather recent developement since it seems to be not common knowledge. at least there is no proof that they know that back in the day so i would disagree that the planet was more open when wano was open.
Seastone's effect is more primarily masking the appearance of ships. Because it 'emits the same energy as the sea', the sea kings simply don't notice ships with a seastone coating. The reason I think this distinction is important is because warding the seastone off would suggest the seakings are averse to seastone in the same way as Devil Fruit users. But rather it seems the opposite. Seastone emits the same energy as the sea, so they don't perceive a threat from any ship which is coated in seastone - or perhaps don't even notice them.

I think what we were seeing on Punk Hazard was the regeneration of Devil Fruit after its user dies. A bunch of ordinary fruit (not SMILE; SMILE fruit have a distinct circular pattern, different from the spiral pattern on the surface of ordinary Devil Fruit) were placed near the site where Smiley 'died' when it ate the candy, causing it to dissolve.
When Shinokuni released and Smiley died, the Axolotl zoan fruit it had eaten then transferred to an ordinary fruit of a particular type nearby.
We saw a similar visualization in I believe chapter 701 or 702; the soul of the fruit leaves its deceased user's body and transfers to another ordinary fruit, transforming it into a Devil Fruit. Presumably, because each Devil Fruit always looks the same, it can only transfer to a specific type of fruit. IE the Gomu Gomu / Nika fruit will always be a melon.

Potentially. That assumption makes sense, though was never clarified. We know that he had already eaten his own string fruit, so he wanted someone else to eat it - presumably Rocinante, since he didn't know about his brother's Devil Fruit.
It would certainly make sense if his intent was for his brother to sacrifice his life to grant him immortality. It's still not entirely clear how that would allow him to take the reigns of power for the entire world.
The op op fruit also has body swapping powers, though as confirmed on the rooftop, it wouldn't work on anyone with sufficiently strong Haki. So, it's doubtful someone could trade places with Imu or the Five Elders for example.

I understand why you reached that conclusion - but it's not entirely accurate given our available information. In chapter 795, the omniscient narrator plainly states that Kaido 'suffered defeat AS A PIRATE seven times.'
Kaido indeed allowed himself to be captured whenever he was hungry ("he was captured by Marines or enemy ships 18 times") during the years between Vodka Kingdom & joining Rocks. But he wasn't yet a pirate until age 15 when he joined Rocks.
In chapter 1049, Whitebeard asked Kaido if he was interested in becoming a pirate when he first arrived on Fullalead. Which means that during the years Kaido was repeatedly intentionally captured (18 times according to the narrator), he wasn't yet a pirate. So, those seven defeats must have come later - after he joined Rocks at age 15.
the only error I've found in this video is about kaido's awakening, we already saw it, you can see the difference in the anime when he's fighting G5, it's more purple, and his nose is more animal like.
I can certainly understand your perspective here. Personally, I remain unconvinced that Kaido's form shifting represents awakening - or at least a full awakening. To me, the biggest indicator is the fact that Oda didn't make any such mention within the manga. At this point, aware of the fact that he hasn't fully explained the parameters of awakening to readers and thus awakening can't be readily spotted, Oda has made a point to explicitly mention whenever a character is using an awakened ability - Jailer Beasts, Doflamingo, Katakuri, Law, Kid, Luffy, etc.

I think this is likely the case one way or the other; The Sea Kings at the end of Fishman Island, while taking Noah back to its resting place said, "Surely all will go well this time", implicitly revealing that there was a previous attempt to migrate the people of Ryugu Kingdom to the surface which did not go well during JoyBoy's age, corresponding with JoyBoy's apology letter.
This tells us a few things: The very fact that Fishman Island was already at the bottom of the sea means that things weren't great in JoyBoy's era. The world wasn't in an idyllic state before the Void Century - hence, JoyBoy and his friends / allies were trying to make the world better (likely prompting Noah's construction).
It would seem JoyBoy was a person who envisioned and fought for a better world than the one in which he was living - but those efforts were met with resistance, and ultimately JoyBoy failed to deliver on his promise.
This begs all sorts of questions: like who / what oppressive or evil force was at work in the world before the World Government rose to power during the Void Century? Why did JoyBoy's efforts ultimately fail?
But as you said, this would tell us that the time wasn't right for JoyBoy. Consequently, he and his friends / allies have waited patiently for 800 years, believing in prophecies of a future promised day when the right person will inherit their will. The One Piece, Ancient Weapons, and True History have been protected for all this time. Roger was also too early. But now, it's time for Pirate King Luffy!

What I was saying in that part of the video was essentially that Kaido's 7 defeats all happened after he became a pirate. We saw through his flashback that he became a pirate when he joined Rocks. Prior to his joining Rocks, he was a wanted man, but wasn't considered to be a pirate.
He willingly turned himself over to the marines before he became a pirate and joined Rocks, whenever he was hungry.
Thus, we can say that his 7 previous defeats happened separately from those times he was intentionally captured.
At this point, it's just a yet to be fully explained curiosity in Kaido's backstory; 7 previous defeats as a pirate. By whom was he bested in the past?
