Whitebeard era is over, I will become king of the pirates.” Then in 1080 he said “I’ll make pirate island a full-fledged nation.” Koby said that won’t work and then BB said “don’t piss on someone’s dreams.” His dream is to make pirate island a nation and be king of the pirates as stated by BB lol. This may not be the end of his dream but from what he said that’s his dream for now.

Perhaps being a nation recognised by the WG makes doing certain things much easier. An actual King is unlikely to be chased around the world by the WG, he can move around the Grand Line without having to worry about Seraphim or Admirals plus he'd have leverage to use the WGs resources to help him in his ends, whatever they are. His vision of the new era is unique. He is willing to try and cooperate with anyone, even if their ultimate goals are ultimately incompatible, so long as their roads align temporarily.

blackbeard being a dream eater when he's the guy who doesn't sleep is narratively fitting and poetic. taking in so many devil fruits would be the perfect way for him to lose, and an inverse to nightmare luffy (luffy took in the shadows, bb's shadow takes in everyone's light)
and what fits so perfectly with this is that i've always thought that BB's end would be in drowning, dying in the deep darkness of the sea. having multiple devil fruit powers would mean he'd become so powerless in the sea, and his darkness fruit would amplify the pain, which i think would be a perfect and fitting end for BB

When you sit back and think you do realize how monstrous that is that you can still live and never sleep. Becuase normal humans literally need sleep to recover to full health. Which means blackbeard has some kind of energy sources that keeps him strong and healthy at all times to the point he doesn't have to ever sleep

I have a relatively weak, but still somewhat plausible, explanation for how BB could expect his crew to awaken so quickly after getting their fruits. If we look at them, the big one gets the giant fruit, the strong one gets the strength fruit, and the sick one gets the sick fruit. They got fruits that already line up well with what they are. If we go based off the notion that fruits awaken when their user's body and mind catch up to their fruit, then these three don't have far to go to catch up since they already are so specialized in what their fruit is about. Unfortunately, this doesn't hold up so well for many of the other crew members from what we know about them so far. An argument can be made, but idk how strong of one

I feel like all that matched up with all of blackbeards knowledge of devil fruits makes it even easier then. Since most people seem to just eat them without knowing wtf they do or are, a specific understanding of the fruits nature would help you align with it even quicker.

This is a great theory. You made a point at the end about Blackbeard wanted to protect everyones dream by taking it onto himself. That would make perfect sense as to why he is seen as a "they" as well.

A minor detail but at 3.55 since we sleep for 1/3 of the day , or at least we should be , then blackbeard would have the experience of roughly an 52 year old , or less because most people dont sleep 8 hours or more , not a 78 old . Great video and very interesting ideas thrown though

People like to point at Hody Jones as being a bad villain, but thematically, I think he is so so important not just for his arc but for foreshadowing and understanding the three big bads of the series: Blackbeard, Akainu, and Imu.
Blackbeard is an empty man, a VOID man, a man unable to dream for himself. This is literally Hody - a Fishman whose entire existence is dedicated to the dream of destroying humans, not out of a personal grudge, but the cultural grudge he's adopted/stolen from others. Fukuboshi even climactically reveals that "Hody is entirely empty... There is so substance within him".
Akainu on the other hand, likely has a very good reason for despising pirates so much. His zealotism and hatred is probably earned, yet it is the same unreasonable, blind hatred that Hody demonstrates in Fishman Island. Hody killing any Fishman who sides with humans perfectly mirrors Akainu's brutal willingness to kill any Marine or innocent life that even remotely aides Pirates.
Finally, we have Imu, and while the least is known about Imu, I'd wager that the struggle between races we see take place in Fishman Island, the strange all-white transformation Hody becomes resembling Gear-5, and the "betrayal of his own kind" that Hody commits by killing Otohime, will all factor heavily into Imu's plotline.
I think Black Beard may very well be the one to take out Imu, similarly to how he killed WB, take their fruit, and become the final villain

My favorite "nothing happened" theory is that since Luffy woke up after the fight fully refreshed with his friends telling him 'literally nothing happened' Luffy's imagination then led him to believe that's how his body recovers damage after a small 30 min nap.

The Dark Dark fruit could actually be a God fruit just like Luffy's, Zoan fruits are the ones that search for their users. You can make a pretty good argument about Buggy also having a God fruit, since he never intended to eat it but the fruit had other plans

Blackbeard is the opposite side of the same coin of Luffy, one can almoat take it as a certainty that his fruit is also the opposite to Luffy's. Noe about Buggy, he is a gag character. Irrelevant to the story and the main battles, his fruit is not a Zoan type and him unintentionally eating it doesn't make it one. Stop with the dickriding.

The fact that Mihawk and Croc joined his crew is nothing short of a miracle, and he will use their strength and IQ to the most potential.
Considering that Shanks is death flagged by Blackbeard means there will be only 5 key players in the end: Luffy, Blackbeard, the revolutionaries, the Gov, and Buggy
But I can say anything and you glue eating power scalers that only watch/read One Piece for the fights will never understand
I really enjoy the poetics on these theories.. they resonate so much that even if they never get confirmed, they still kinda feel canon to me
I've always said that whenevr we find out what Luffy's dream is, the Jaya quote will definitely come back around and hit us like a truck, or rather a Gura fist to the face, and just like how blackbeard took it to understand the power before stealing it, we will have to taoe the whiplash of forshadowing before truly understanding what Oda is cooking. Whether it be though Dream Eating or though some Punk Records Joyboy Memory madness, that line has a more literal element to it which is why I sense a "I am the future flash" esque moment on the way soon.
Blackbeards teeth supports your theory of him taking attacks. We know milk restores bones and fixed teeth in OP. He’s constantly in fights getting them knocked out, and repairing with milk.

Wasn’t Blackbeard character model supposed to have sisters ? Maybe he gave them up in the past and got them killed, in which is why it was easy for him to play the role on white beards ship to gain what he wants?
Really good video i only missed Fukuro when talking about Blackbeard absorbing the pain to powerscale/ understand his crew and opponents. Fukuro could powerscale all of CP9 by getting kicked. It's also logical why Blackbeard did not let himself get kicked by Boa he was afraid to take the gamble. Boa's power effectivly blocks all electrical signals in the bodypart she turns to stone.

I like the idea that Blackbeard cancels memories to take devil fruit powers away from its user. This notion also aligns with Vegapunk experimenting on Kuma and being able to produce artificial devil fruits. Perhaps he learned how Kuma physically manifest memories to extract users' memories about devil fruits they have eaten. We know Vegapunk can replicate devil fruits (i.e., memories) without the user being dead (similar to what Kuma did with Luffy in Thriller Bark). If this is true, when Blackbeard says his devil fruit can absorb pain, he actually means his devil fruits can absorb memories (which contain [mostly] pain as most flash-back we have seen so far are sad and filled with pain).

I have this feeling that blackbeard will be able transfer DF powers from a DF user to a regular fruit, turning it to a DF and without killin the user. He will have this ability after awakening his powers. With this, he can shuffle the DF powers of his crew and/or use it as a business to gain wealth.
Personally black beaded absorbing his crew would be pretty bad I like when the whole crew gets there own individual fights with all unique personalities and powers

Luffy is always the last to win...If Blackbeard does decide to go that route, I think he'd do it during the final battle after his crew has already been defeated by the straw hats..
I think the perfect final battle would be Luffy vs Blackbeard on Laugh Tale. Luffy using the imagination aspect of his power to emulate the abilities and techniques of all the allies and foes he's fought against/alongside, symbolizing his entire journey and the ambitions and dreams of everyone he's met on the way. While Teach absorbs his crew into his darkness physically absorbing their ambitions and powers into himself, the product of his hard work and scheming finally coming into throughition. One who nurtures ambition and the other who cultivates it.

This video made me realize a power of the darkness fruit.
1. It lets you do the impossible, and know what is in the hearts of others, particularly the darkness that resides in them.
2. It lets you understand how darkness shapes their minds, creating their "fate".
3. Like with celestial bodies, it helps you plot out their courses in the future, even in a complex world.
4. This is why Blackbeard has difficulty predicting Luffy, because he has so much light to conquer his own darkness with.
I like that Blackbeard also has "chosen one" vibe as a bad guy.

Its no wonder blackbeard is alot of peoples favorite characters, but honestly when King Recon came onto my stream and told me how much of an impact Blackbeard made on him in Jaya, I more heavily realized what this character was capable of.
and I agree, i need to know what blackbeards foundation was. How parralleled was it to luffy because all you have to do to luffys backstory is tweak 1 thing and all of a sudden, you get a whole new character. really says alot about how impactful people can be in your life especially for children.

If you consider the fact that Rocks D Xebec's also gathered a crew of very strong individuals which didn't really work together or had a bond with each other, with the sole purpose to also consume them in the long run. That would also draw a parallel to Garp + Roger vs Rock's and Ruffy (+ Coby?) vs Blackbear. That would make Ruffy the reincarnation of Roger who was too early, and Blackbeard as Xebecs, who also didn't quite manage to consume his crew, so maybe the second god valley accident will be the true god valley accident with Ruffy being just in time and not too early and blackbeard managing to consume his crew. Although it would be quite weird that Garp etc. didn't recognize Blackbeards dark fruit as Xebec's fruit at Marineford.
According to this theory, there's no limit to how many devil fruits blackbeard can take. And he would have his crew developp devil fruits and their awakening just so that he can take them all in the end.
In that case, Imu won't be the final villain. I could even see Imu get 1-hit by Blackbeard. That would make an amazing climax with Blackbeard being the final vilain of One Piece, which would require an entire war with all characters making an alliance together with Luffy to fight him, and the only possible way to get rid of him would be to send him to the depths of the ocean.
